Hey guise! I hope you are liking the story so far, and I just want to tell you that this the time for another time lapse, so let's go....

Alexis'  Pov

I know that I had hurt her and that was one of the reasons she had absolutely stopped believing in love or atleast just for the time being.

I will do anything to make it up to her. I will bring the same girl back from inside of her that believed in love, lived in fairytales, hid chocolates under her pillow and watched SpongeBob with me. I will bring the girl that fallen for, the girl that was lost inside of her.

That said, I told Nick everything that happened today in the backyard, and he was disappointed I could see it his eyes, he was expecting her to say yes After all these years of loving me even I was expecting a yes, who wouldnt?

But it looks like a lot had changed, and a lot broke, trust, love and expectations, a lot got demolished. I couldn't help it, only she could. I wanted her to know that all of this and me loving her wasn't because I was guilty or something, it was solemnly because I loved her.

Blythe's pov.

I narrated the entire evening in detail, and saw all the hope and gleam on her face disappear minute by minute as I reached the end.

And after all of this, she simply asked me why. And here went the reason...

" I know whatever he is doing is because he feels like he has to repay for the mistakes of the past. It is all out of guilt and not because he feels for me or something. I believe that he will regret this decision all his life and I dont want him to carry this burden.  He shouldn't have left Riley, he loved her, but because I left, he left her. I want him to know that I have changed a lot over the years. And he is making a mistake. " I say as I try my hardest to control my tears in.

" and you know what Blythe" she says some what angrily.

"I have seen what happened in the years you left, I have seen his eyes lit up when he heard your name and I have seen how drunk he got everytime when you and Ally video conferenced. And I have seen him wipe his tears near the shore when we went trips to your favorite places or ate your favorite dishes. I have seen him vulnerable. I have seen him realize that he loved you, I have seen him realize that it was mistake to let you go, I have heard him say your name when he was asleep on sleepovers, I have seen his choices change to your favorites. I have seen him rise,fall and grow Blythe. I have seen him miss you. A lot . " she said in one breathe.
And once she finished she was out of breathe and sat down on the chair next to me. I didn't realize when she got up, I was astounded by what she was saying.

While she was speaking my hands from being behind my head had come  to my mouth and my eyes went from content and satisfied to disheveled and shocked and turned into watermelons and swelled up as if they would come out of their sockets. I couldn't believe a word of  what she was saying.

" when did Riley and Alexis breakup?" I ask, my voice barely a whisper.

" a month after they got engaged and that makes it a month after you left. " she asked ,confusion taking over her features.

" why? " I ask. I was just as bewildered as she was. I mean he was so in love with her.

" because after you left a lot of arguments rose. Alexis' family was in a financial crisis and Ally kept demanding for Alexis all the time and Alexis never denied her and also with  that Riley kept demanding for gifts and dates, during this time Alexis realized that his heart fluttered no more and he didn't smile like he always used to, that warmth he felt was lost but he kept going with Riley and one night after yet another argument they yelled at each other and suddenly Alexis said that he didn't love her and he loved you and that was the last stand of the relationship. Even Riley showed her true colors and accepted that she dated him because of his money, fortune, popularity and attention she got in high school. "

" this day wasn't really far. We all saw its end coming. Also Alex went somewhere after graduation and come back home with nothing but a piece of paper and very puffy eyes." she finishes.

I was taken aback from the intensity of the moment and the moment of the past. I realized that not only I was vulnerable, even he was vulnerable, I felt horrible for what I did, but still I can't say yes so soon because I had to let him know that I had changed. And about graduation night , it wasn't really helping.

" what happened after the breakup? " I inquire further.

" after the breakup, he cried and cried every night after night but not for her, but for you, silly. " she justifies after looking at me and seeing how I was scowling.

" And then he caught up with me and Dylan, at first even we blamed him for leaving you and hurting you but then when we came to know about this truth we also gave in and helped him to know you better, helped him to know about every detail of your life, every good and every bad thing. Every nightmare and every drunk game, all in all everything. "

" I made a mistake, Chloe. A big, huge enormous one. And so did he. "
" what was his mistake?  "
" loving me. "
