Hey guise! I hope you people were waiting for this update, I am quite sure but no very. And yes I have to tell you people that I want a new banner so please help me out!!

" Alexis, I wish you had said this earlier, I wish that you would have realized this before we parted ways. I am sorry, but I think we have missed out on too much in each other's life, I love you, gosh, I still do, but I ain't sure. I don't have the faith I had in anyone  anymore. I think I am not the Clare you have fallen for, I have changed and so have you, we have a lot to catch up on, because we have been away for way too long. "

As I said this, I finally looked into his blue orbs,i saw hurt, disappointment and breaking in them. I felt so guilty for doing this.

But I knew somewhere or the other I was correct. I knew that I was going to do something, something that might make us stronger someday or it will make us so weak that there will be no more "we" left in the world

" I am sure you will be sure about me someday, I think all we need to do is still know each other better. " he said trying to understand what I said. I knew he was saying all of this because he didn't want me to see him throw fits or be broken.

" will you be my girlfriend someday? "
" sooner than you'll know. " I tried to reassure him.
" do you love me? " he says with a new   flicker of hope
"  a love that needs to be ignited. " I say with a smile.

And again we continued watching movies and have fun. Alexis was trying to be as  normal as ever but I could see​ right through that mask of his. He was broken. And I didn't like it.

I had waited for this for so many long years. My heart still urged me to bring the proposal back and say a simple yes to him, but my brain u emerged me not to. It begged for this decision and I was pleased with it. Maybe we actually needed time? Or maybe we didn't? My brain was full of  questions without answers.

" stop zoning out Clare. "
" you know I used to love you right? " I asked out of no where.
" yes.  "
" but how? "

" after you were gone, I asked Chloe and Dylan about every little thing I had missed on, and that was a part of it. All of us thought that we had lost you but you returned and I thank god for that. Rather I thank Edwin and Ines for that. I can't believe my sister is getting married in just a month. "

" And I will return to New York.. "
" but this time you won't run away, you'll want to stay. "

" I hope so.... "

And with this the night ended and so did my birthday and with this end started something new...

Both of us decided to walk to my house because it wasn't too far. Even though it was summer the air was chilly and cold. To my happiness it was a starry night and the moon shone brightly in the center of the dark night as it was a guardsman who chased darkness and sins away.

By the time we reached home it was drizzling, when we reached my doorstep, and bid farewell to each other, suddenly Alexis grabbed my wrist and pulled me to his chest.

" even if you aren't my girlfriend, you are still mine and only mine. So for so much efforts I have taken for tonight  I want a reward. " As he said this and I couldn't help but feel the blush that was creeping up to my cheeks.

" what sort of rewards? " trying my best to calm myself
" just a kiss. That's all. "

" no I ain't giving you that! " but even after I said, he turned me around and now I was facing him, and then our lips crashed.

At first I was in shock but after I took in what was happening and immediately kissed him back. The kiss was full of passion, impatience but at the same time it was sweet, tender and lasting. It felt like we both were Romeo and Juliet and were reuniting after death.

It felt good. It felt homely. And in that moment I swear I fell for him again, and harder than the last time. And sadly, that's when Chloe and Nick had to intervene and burst our bubble.

" guys, not so soon please, get a room "
" but before that I need to talk to you Missy! Fast, follow! " Chloe orders.

" okay! " I yelled back. And the boys chuckled, I was about to walk away, when Alexis pulled me back and said,
" I can't wait till the day I can call you mine. "
" I am still yours, just not officially. "
" officially too, soon  "
" we will see... "

" Blythe ! " Chloe yelled.
" you better go  "
" only if you leave me "

And then after pecking him on his cheek for the last time before I left.

I think we have a lot of talking to do now and a lot of disappointment for Chloe and Nick too.

So sorry to disappoint you people. I know you were expecting Clare to say yes. That will come soon too, so hang on. And keep loving me like forever and ever... Keep reading! Keep loving! Keep voting! And comment of you like this chapter!!
