Hey people this is  the  continuation of blythe's birthday. This chapter is going to be your favorite so far and I am sure of that. It's all about Alexis and his present. And if you want to see the set up then look up.

I continued to keep the blindfold on, rather I had no other option. I was threatened to do so. I did try to guess the place and the direction the car was going in but after sometime I realized that Alexis was moving in circles around the same spot so I don't guess the place.

" smart move. "
" I knew you would try to guess the place. After all god forgot to the patience potion in you before sending you on Earth, didn't he? "

" please tell me. Where are we going. "
" what part of  " this is a surprise did you not understand, Clare?"
" pretty please? "
" a surprise is a surprise.  "

After about half an hour of worthless talking, silly jokes, peals of laughter and over speed driving. Finally I was told that we were there and like it was an everyday chore Alexis carried me out bridal style.

As soon as we entered, I smelled something. The place seemed so familiar, as if I had been here about million times. When I went further I was suspicious so to turn my doubt into surity I asked,  "Alexis are we at your place? "
" can you see? " he asked, the surprise evident in his voice and I chuckled lightly.

"  actually I have been here enough times to recognize it even after I die. "
" so all that effort, driving and half an hour, went waste? "
" that's your stupidity that you wasted half an hour for five minutes of driving. " I giggled. What?! I giggled, now that's new.

" so if you already know so much then , just to tell you we are going towards my backyard and are just a minute away. " he informed me. Now the excitement had the best of me. I really wanted to see what Alexis has in store for the night.

Finally we both stopped and I felt Alexis go behind me and drop the blindfold. What I saw in front of me made me gasp. The entire backyard had lights and just lights. In the middle of it all was stilt and it had a comfy white mattress in. It was loaded with the comfy, fluffy white, colorful and absurd patterned pillows. Around the stilt were loads of lanterns. I stood there frozen and was taking in my surroundings, when I saw one thing that stood out, above all. It was life size teddy bear, white as snow and fluffy as any of those cushions in and around the stilt, in the middle was a huge red heart that said ' we missed you'.

" did you like it? "
" loved it!!! "
"so shall we take you to your throne "
" what throne? " I didn't see that.
" what are life size teddy bears for? "

" you didn't need to do all of this.  "
" yes, I did. The night awaits a lot more and so do you and I. So shall we get started? Time for the crowning of the Princess. "

" I am not a princess. "
"  your are what you deserve. And you deserve to be my princess. "

After I was taken to my throne Aka the teddy, which after lot of argument was named snoozy and I was made to sit on it, Alexis went off to get the birthday cake for me, I sat and waited for him to return . Within moments he returned  with a big blue cake which looked like a clubhouse, like the one in the cartoon mickey mouse. And bullseye, on that were goofy and mickey. I am a bit embarrassed to admit  but I have to admit that I loved goofy, like you doesn't like his wit and silly pranks? And there was another candle with the other two which said 3.

" You remember that I loved goofy? "
" common Clare! I have teased you because of this for my entire life. How can I not? "
" I understand goofy and mickey but why does the candle on my cake say 3,like it should say 23. "

" your birthday signifies your brains age Missy, not the years of your existence and your brain has thinking capacity of a 3 year old. "

" no, it doesn't . "
" yes it does.  " and after saying this he hit me on my head and ran way, I attempted to to do the same but he was way to out of my league. So I used my fractured ankle to my advantage.

" ouch " I yelled.
" oh no! I forgot " and he ran back to me.
" does it hurt. " he asked as he carried me back to the tent. He put me down and stood up. But as soon as he stood up I pulled him down again with me and smacked him on the head.
" and that's called revenge. Very sweet, indeed "

And this way the night was spent, laughing, eating, drinking, watching movies, eating each other's ice cream and catching up on what we missed in each other's life. It felt like I had grown younger than growing up this birthday. It felt nice for a change. It was just what completed my life. It felt like he was my oasis in a drought struck desert.

But the thing that came last, shocked me the most.

I and Alexis had just finished another movie and suddenly he got up and also pulled me up with him.

I took me to one of the many well lit corners of the backyard but this was the best lit and had the view of the most stars. And one of the most pretty backgrounds and the perfect timing.

Suddenly he went on one knee in front of me. No, this can't be happening. I was giddy with happiness but also was ridden with guilt. He was doing all of this just to make up for the mistakes he made in the past. He didn't want this to happen. He has forced himself into this. And then he started.

" if I look back upon my life today and try finding the best moments I have spent then I swear the memories I have with you were the best times of my entire life. A lot of realization struck me after you left. I realized that Riley wasnt the one who brought a smile on my face, make my heart flutter and make my eyes lit up. It was you. And only you. It was always you. The only mistake I made was terming my love for as sisterly. In fact, you were my first ever crush... "

He paused and I leaped. My heart was beating quicker than ever. All of this felt so ethereal and too good to be true. But I knew the reality. He doesn't want me to say yes. He wants to say sorry and not I love you. In all these years apart I had understood that love can never do good to anyone. In fact it isn't even real. Bringing me out of my trail of thoughts he continued.

" after saying so much, I think it's time to come to the point. Clare,  I really really love you and will love for my entire life, even of you say that you hated me today, I will love you. So... "
" will you be mine? Will you be my girlfriend? "

I somehow believed that this was all a trap but when I looked into his eyes, they were glistening with love. I hope that this love was for me. I wished that he had realized earlier. Because fate was on my side, I was in the other. This time I wasnt sure. And I didn't know how to react.
