       His calculated steps led him to the small boy and his large hands picked him up from the bed. My eyes followed his tall figure  as his scowl never left his face even for a second. Once Sebastian was set on the floor, he padded his way slowly to the door, and with one last wave to the little boy, he turned towards me. I was once again left all alone with the handsome devil; his stormy orbs jabbing me slowly.

   "Why do you really want to escape me, mia tesoro? I don't understand what would make you want to leave me so desperately."

     His words rolled smoothly from his luscious lips; a thick Italian accent on his tongue.

    "Why do you keep me here? I don't really see how I could be of any use to you."

    Unexpectedly, I was very thrilled to have my first real conversation with him. Butterflies erupted within my stomach as I took in his features slowly. His sharp jaw line defined his face, centered with a fine nose. His plump lips glistened as if he had just run his tongue on them to wet them and finally came his eyes. Those eyes; the grey orbs that instantly pulled me in every time I lost myself into them. With a slight spec of blue, his eyes  made his features pop and put my dull ones to shame.

     God surely took his time crafting this fine specimen.

"Stop oogling me, mi amore or I might just take it that you are already infatuated by me."

    Those words threw me off the cliff of fantasies as I threw an angry glare his way.

     I couldn't possibly like a man like him.

     "My dolcezo, I keep you here because I want you to be my queen; mine for eternity, not just by paper but by soul. I want to lace your mind like you lace through mine and be the only one you think of. It's not that hard, mammi, is it?"

                      The fuck?

      His statement shook me to my core but at the same time left me speechless.I couldn't imagine spending my life like that. It was just too surreal. I blinked rapidly, not sure whether I had heard him right or was hallucinating once again . My mouth dropped to the floor, obviously very baffled by his declaration.

  "With all due respect, I can't accept that. I have my whole life to choose a suitable partner and I would certainly not like to be tied to a man like you all my life. Aren't you happy with your son, Sebastian, and his mother?"

   The anger that coated my voice wasn't intended but was raging.

    What did he think of himself?

    Did he really think he will be able to control me in such a way? If only I wasn't bound to the bed, I would have already slapped him across his face.

  
       " What life are you talking about?"

  He chuckled deeply with these words; his head being thrown back slightly.

"The life in which you are abused day and night? Now tell me, do you expect to find a prince charming who will come and save you from your abuser and live happily ever after? If you haven't yet noticed, that's all bullshit! Prince Charmings don't exist! Get that into your head Lilly! But if you say yes to me and rule here with me, I'll be able to take care of you and give you your freedom. You will be happy by my side and you will have everything you have ever wished for and more. I promise."

    I was dumbfounded by his choice of words. Everything he said hit me at once and I could feel my eyes well up with tears.

      No one would ever save me.

The sliver of hope I ever had about getting out of the dump I called home, was shattered into pieces as reality hit me.

               It hit me hard.

"I will give you time to decide whether you want to stay or leave. I want an answer before tomorrow noon. A maid is going to come in and untie you and also give you some food. Don't make me wait."

    He opened the door wide, ready to walk out but just as he was about to leave, he stopped as if he had remembered something and turned to me.

      "Also, Sebastián isn't my son."

  With that, he left me to my tears and thoughts, slamming the door behind him.
