Willow: Look at the date on your phone

Me: Well that explains a lot

Alan: Care to explain why you're up at five AM yet?

Me: I got sick and woke up

A: You threw up

Me: Yeah, I'm good though. What happened while I was out?

Gray: We'll explain when we get there

Me: It's five in the morning

L.J.: Your point being?

Me: Nevermind, see you guys soon.

Trever: Already in the parking lot

I turn off my phone and sigh.

"You're on the news," Gaby says looking to the t.v.

I look over and she turns it up.

"Well Dave, you remember the girl who fought off those school shooters two months ago?"

"How could I forget?"

"Well, why don't we turn it over to Anna for more?"

"Thank you, Rachel, well I am standing right outside the hospital right now with some of her former classmates who all call her a hero. She has been reported to wake up from her coma able to breathe on her own but with some memory loss. Although she is reported to be doing better and starting to recover."

"That is amazing, we can always use more people with that kind of courage and bravery. Beth, our hopes, and prayers are with you and we wish you the best."

I sigh. Hero? Bravery? Are you kidding? I almost peed myself from the second I heard the gunshots. I wish I had brought a diper the second I had rushed into that camera room.I did what I could like any half-way decent human being.

I just did what I could. My hands were so shaky I had to aim for a big target to do anything. What I did was adrenaline, not bravery, not heroic.

"The whole city has been talking about you," Gaby says rubbing my shoulder.

I don't want the city talking about me! I don't wanna be known as the girl who shot a bunch of people, self-defense or not. I hadn't thought about this when I was firing that gun. All I was thinking about was surviving and not killing anyone. Helping my friends. That's it.

"School is in two months but it's up to you if you want to do online or homeschool instead. You don't have to decide right now."

A knock on the door comes as three doctors come in with vases of flowers, stuffed animals and balloons come in.

"Delivered a few hours ago," one of them says as they set it all in one counter before walking back out.

My jaw drops as the whole room begins to smell like the flowers.

"We have at least fifty more vases, stuffed animals, cards and balloons at home too. They haven't stopped coming in," Gaby says sighing

I run my hand back through my greasy hair before quickly pulling my hand away in disgust, not realizing how badly I need an actual shower. I look over to the doctor as she turns to me with a clipboard. I sign something to her.

'Can I take a shower?'

"Yeah, of course. Here," she says setting down her clipboard.

She quickly walks over to one side of the room with a wheelchair and brings it over to me. She helps me stand up and sit down in the wheelchair as my legs are weak from not using them for months.

She messes with my I.V. and un-tangles me from all the wires before wheeling me over to the bathroom not too far from my bed. She lets me be and I quickly take a shower. My whole body is sore and stiff but I don't feel any pain from the pain relievers I guess they have been giving me.

I still feel pain in my neck and my head pounds I just don't feel any severe pain. My neck is covered by bandages and a plastic cover and so is my abdomen to let it still heal I guess so my range of motion isn't huge. I try to make it quick but my stiffness makes it really difficult.

Nonetheless, I finish and carefully remove the plastic cover from my neck and stomach as I dry off and get dressed. I brush through my tangled hair and brush my teeth with the stuff they had brought over for me I'm assuming yesterday.

I finish quickly and have to lean against the walls or hang onto the counter from my legs being weak. I sit down in the wheelchair, feeling helpless as I wheel myself out. The guys and Willow all standing out there.

"Took you long enough," Mason says looking at me.

I scoff as I smile at all of them and look at them. I wheel myself out and Gaby quickly makes her way over to wheel me back to the bed. I stand up and sit on the edge trying no to show how weak I really am right now. I don't want anyone seeing me be this weak.

"So how you holding up?" Alan asks looking me in the eyes and I can see the worry behind his.

I show a thumbs up and show a half-hearted smile with it as I look to him and put my phone in my pocket.

"Would it be alright if she went to the cafeteria with us?" Leo asks.

"Sure thing, she seems to be doing just fine so if she is up for it, yeah," The doctor says who I just realized names' was Rose.

"You good for it Beth?" Willow says turning from Dr.Rose to me.

I nod my head and get back in the wheelchair.

"I am gonna stay here with the doctor, you all go ahead," Gaby says smiling at me.

I smile back. Alan comes behind me and grabs the handles to my wheelchair before I can grab the wheels to do it myself. He pushes me and Gray opens the door, pushing me out the door before all of them. We enter a large room with a table in the middle and chairs in the sections of wall between the rooms.

Alan wheels me to the elevator with them all beside me.

I quickly pull out my phone and go to my phone and go to my Notes app and open a new page and begin to type.

'What happened while I was out?' I show it to Gray as Trever pushes the button to the floor below us.

The door closes and he hands my phone back to me.

"Not too much, the others are all still in the hospital in recovery and having a close eye on them for questioning. Everyone at the fight club soon recognized you, they know who you are. Liam, well he dropped you as a fighter. Said he didn't want you fighting anymore. You gained a lot of respect," he says looking to me with a worried yet half-hearted smirk.

That smirk made me miss that old sly one that I used to dislike so much that he wore so often.

I sigh as the doors open and Alan wheels me out.

"So can we please talk about how all of you guys called her hot and had a crush on her?" Willow asks with a pleading voice.

My face heats up and red paints my face as I don't look to the guys to see their expressions. I go to say something but my throat only strains to make a pathetic noise. Forgetting for a split second that I can no longer talk I close my mouth and sit back.

I soon feel a hand on my shoulder and look back to see it's A.

"You'll get used to it eventually."

He rubs my shoulder as we walk to the cafeteria before taking his hand off my shoulder.

Why me?

The voice in my head answers it saying that if it wasn't me it would be someone else asking that question.

We soon all take a tray except for me and Willow grabs one for me while Alan refuses to let me wheel myself and pushes me with his other hand.

We all sit down at a table and I sit between Gray and Alan with Willow next to Alan.

"So we gonna talk about you all crushing on Beth now?"

My face turns back to red and I rub my temple, annoyed that my face turns red every time we talk about anything like this.

I grab a bite of food and my mouth immediately makes me regret it since I haven't eaten real food in so long.

"Sure, I for one think Beth is hot," Gray says turning to me as does the rest of the table.

My expression is one of a poorly hidden shock as I turn to him. I almost choke on my food when he says it and end up covering my mouth.

"Wow, I didn't know that dark shade of red ever existed," Willow says with a huge smile.

He smirks at me with that oh-so-famous smirk as I continue to look to him.

"Forget calling you cute, call you hot and you get all sorts of flustered," he says coming closer to me.

Of course, he is gonna try to pick on me the second he gets here.

"And Gray is coming back for the challenge. Will Beth stand for as long as last time?" L.J. says.

"What are you guys talking about?" Willow says furrowing where her eyebrows are supposed to be.

"Not too long ago when Gray tried to get Beth to punch him he threatened to kiss her to try and break her. He almost did till she moved out of the way." Trever says watching us.

"So you guys just leaving where you last left off?"

"Sure," Gray says about to lean in completely and kiss me.

I quickly move out of the way and he just misses. I smile at him, as my face is red.

"You know this is never gonna happen if you don't stop moving out of the way," he says pointing between himself and me.

I raise an eyebrow and smirk at him.

"Alright then on the topic of who Beth's real second kiss will be who was your first?" Trever asks looking at me as he leans back in his chair.

"It was me," Alan says looking between me and them.

"YES!" Willow screams standing up and knocking down her chair as the whole room looks to her.

She quickly pulls back up her chair and sits down with a smile as she looks at all of us and I drop my head into my arms as my face turns an unimaginable and indescribable red.

"Knew it!" Gray says.

"Why do you look so upset?" Alan asks nudging me.

I pull up my face and I see Willow smile widely.

"I think that sort of red might exist somewhere out there," she says crossing her arms over the table.

"How did that happen? Beth?" A says looking at me.

I bite my lip and point to Alan for him to explain.

"I had asked her something and she got all upset so I kissed her."

"What did you ask her? It still works?" Gray asks looking at me.

I roll my eyes at him.

"She kissed you back?" Willow says a little too loudly for my liking.

Alan turns to me.

I nod my head as I still have my head resting in my arms.

"So are you guys a thing now?" Willow says.

"Well, Beth?" Alan says looking at me.

I take out my phone and type.

'Is that your way of asking me out?'

He quickly turns the phone to himself and reads it over before smiling at me. Willow grabs it and reads it out loud.

"Is that your way of asking me out?" She says smiling.

"Do you want it to be?" He asks crossing his arms as he turns in his chair to face me.

"Oh, he's making a move on our girl you guys," Trever says.

Willow hands my phone back to me and I shrug my shoulders.

I woke up from a coma maybe an hour ago! And all the sudden I am being asked out!?

"Will you go out with me?" Gray suddenly asks.

"Will you go out with me since I already asked before them?" Mason says.

I quickly type on my phone before handing it to Willow. She reads over it and looks to me frowning.

"I refuse to read this," she says handing it back to me while crossing her arms.

I hand it to Leo.

"Yeah, you do all realize you're asking out my sister in front of me?" he says taking the phone from me.

He stifles a laugh. "And this is why you're a good sister. She says, 'no thanks I am in a relationship already with my pillow, your all on your own." He finishes smiling at the guys.

I smile at them and Leo hands back my phone.

"Wow," Alan starts. "Your gonna have to tell your pillow you cheated on him."

"Alright so who here is gonna be Beth's second kiss?"

Why am I the victim for being kissed!?
