"Why do you want to know?"

"It's been a year or two since I have played a video game. Where's the phone?"

"Fine, but don't look. I don't need you getting into it while I am sleeping to play video games." I say getting up.

He turns his back and I quickly grab it while keeping it under the bed. I pull it out and begin to power it on as I sit on the floor.

"Can I look now?"

"Yeah," I say getting up as the phone powers on.

I sit on the bed and hold the phone as he scoots closer to me. The screen turns to my simple lock screen and I swipe making it go to a weird lighted background that I think is cool. I click on the play store and toss it to him.

"One game."

He smiles at me and I look at the screen as he pulls away to keep me from seeing it.

"I swear if you get something on my phone that either ruin's it or get's me arrested I will kill you."

"I'm doing neither. I'm doing something better."

"Okay, give me back my phone, this was a mistake."

I reach over for it but he pulls away. I reach over him again, trying to grab it but he just stands up.

"So Gray, Mason, L.J., Trever, and A? These are the guys Willow was talking about you liking."

"Give me back my phone!" I say jumping up and reaching for it as he holds it above my reach and away from me.

"Who should we call first?"

"I'm am seriously going to kill you. Give it back!" I say still reaching for my phone.

"How about Gray?"

"Seriously, give it back!"

He smiles at me and presses call.

"You're dead," I say coldly starting to punch him and pinch his arms.

-Phone stops ringing-

-Gray picks up-

"Hey Beth, what's up?" Gray says as Alan put it on speaker.

"So this is Gray?" Alan says smiling.

"Give it back!"

"Nice roommate you got there Beth," Gray says over the phone obviously amused.

"Yeah, so nice. Would be nicer if he gave me back my phone!" I say reaching for it again.

"Good to meet ya, Gray," Alan says as I continue to fight him.

"Good to meet you too."

"Oww, stop punching me!" Alan says as I continue to beat him up.

Gray chuckles.

"Wow Beth, you're such an abusive friend," Gray says over the phone.

"You know she talks about you all the time. Never takes off that jacket either." Alan says smiling at me.

Going to prison for murder can't be that bad right? I'm a minor, I'll live. Like, killing someone under these circumstances has to understandable.

"Yeah, she won't stop talking about you either. Beth trying to make up her mind?"

"You guys have a death wish!" I say as I plant my feet and push into Alan.

He pushes back into me making him lose his balance and fall over, making him land on top of me.

"What just happened?"

The phone is on the floor. I quickly reach for it and pull it to me and as I go to hang up, Alan, still on top of me may I mind you, rests on one arm and puts the phone out of my reach.

"Get off of me!" I said punching him in the chest.

"You pulled me onto you!"

"You fell on me!"

"This escalated quickly," Gray says chuckling over the phone.

"I like your friends Beth."

"Gray, please just hang up."

"No way, this is way too entertaining."

"He's not wrong," Alan says smiling down at me.

I continue to struggle from under him as he pins me.

"Kill me now," I say as I reach for the phone, punch Alan and try to get away.

"So what exactly does she say about me?" Gray says and I can tell he is smirking.

"Just mainly about-"

-Phone hangs up-

I was able to reach just far enough and hang up the phone. I quickly grab it and push Alan off of me.

"What is wrong, it was just getting good!" He says as he lays on his back and looks over to me.

"You. Are. Dead."

I quickly put my phone to the side and pinch at his arms.

"Ow! Stop!"

I continue till he grabs my wrists, preventing me from further torturing him to death. The pain soon shoots from my wrist and up my arm and my angry yet embarrassed emotion soon changes to one of pain. I wince and look at my wrist.

Alan soon realises what he had done and quickly let's go. I pull my wrist away and tuck it close to me.

"You alright? I didn't mean too-. I'm so sorry."

"I'm alright." Although the tears from the pain in my wrist that start to surface says otherwise.

It honestly really hurts. But I am not gonna let him know that.

"The tears in your eyes say otherwise. Stay here, I'll be right back."

"No, really, Allen I'm-"

He quickly jumps up and I give him a questioning look as he quickly leaves the room.

I look at my wrist and see the bruise. It's blue, black and purple where his fingerprints were and a lesser yet red bruise where the rest of his hand was. I didn't realize he had that good of a grip on me.

I lightly touch one of the bruises and tears threaten to breach past my eyes. I stand up, lightly holding it against me, extremely careful to not touch any of the bruises.

I grab my phone and keep my injured hand close to me as I walk over to my bed. But the phone starts to ring. I look over. Gray is calling me. I ignore it. Then it vibrates. I look over again and see a new message. In group chat.

I click on it.

Gray: Nice phone call princess

Mason:?

Me: Shut it.

Gray: Why did you hang up? You gonna finish that sentence for your roommate?

L.J.: What are you 2 talking about?

Trever: I'm lost here too

A: Did I miss something?

Me: Nope, nothing, Gray is high. Don't listen to him.

Gray: Beth here has a roommate who called me and was talking about how she swoons over me while I'm not around while she didn't deny it.

Mason: Oh, snap

Me: That is not even close to what happened.

A: Thought you said it didn't happen

Me: Didn't, no clue what he is talking about. He's high on sniffable markers.

Gray: How she talks about us all the time and hasn't taken off that jacket I gave her since she left. How she has a huge crush on all of us.

Me: You're proving my point about you being high.

A: Should we tell her?

Trever: Yeah

Mason: We were all in the same room during that call, heard it all.

-Beth has left the group chat-

I drop my phone. Embarrassment can kill, right? The phone soon buzzes again before the door opens.

I look over to see Alan walk in with an ice pack and a medical wrap. He comes over and sits next to me.

"Here."

He holds out his hand to me and I put out my wrist. He grabs my hand lightly and looks at it before putting the wrap on it just once around my wrist before putting on the ice pack, making me wince at the pain.

"Sorry." He apologizes looking at me with a face full of guilt and sorrow.

"Allen, really, I'm okay."

The pain feels like a sword splitting down my entire arm with the point being a hook that digs deeper into my wrist along with the sword being on an icy fire if that makes any sense. This sword also has shavings of steel on it that burrow deeper into my skin on my wrist. Aka, not a good feeling.

He continues to carefully wrap the ice pack around my wrist. He is being extremely careful and supporting the weight of the ice pack in his own hand as he wraps it.

"It looks sprained." He says as he finishes and tucks the end of the wrap into itself.

"Feels broken."

"I know you don't want me to bug you but seriously, what happened? Was it Gage? Zane? Did Jake come back?"

"It isn't a big deal," I say looking at him with a pleading look to just let it go.

He looks at me with a stone face and raised eyebrow.

"Beth. Really. I won't turn this into a big thing. I just want to know."

I don't answer. Thinking of how to say it was Gage without getting angry myself rather. Because I do trust his word enough to hold him to it.

"I'm not gonna sit here and beg for you to tell me. If you don't trust me, so be it."

He gets up and goes to his drawer, grabbing some p.j.'s and goes to the bathroom.

It's not like I don't want to tell him, I was going to, but saying it was him and not becoming mad about it and possibly lashing out is hard to do. I regret not doing something right then and there.

Alan soon walks out in a thin white t-shirt and basketball shorts, throwing his dirty clothes in the laundry basket then walking over to his bed.

"It was Gage. And I do trust you. Trusting myself not to go after him myself is a different story." I say half-smiling at him.

He looks at me and smiles.

"So how did hanging out with the younger ones go?" He says changing the topic.

"Not too bad."

"Come on." He says patting a spot next to him on his bed.

"Nope. Not getting up. You have to come over here if you don't want to talk across the room." I say smirking at him.

He sighs and walks over to me and sits down where he was originally sitting, turning to me.

"So what did you do to Zane?"

"One word: Laxatives."

"You are a evil, evil, little girl. His poor roommate." Alan says shaking his head

I chuckle at him as looks at me smiling and shaking his head.

"By the way, you know that call?"

"Yeah." He says smiling widely.

"Yeah, they were all in the room and heard all of it."

He busts up into a laughing fit falling back into the wall, laughing.

"That works out so much better then I thought!"

"Why though?"

He finally calms down after a moment and takes a breath.

"Cause you are adorable when your face turns bright red from embarrassment. Plus if you ever go back, your doomed."

"Yeah. I got that."

I don't pay any attention to the first part of what he said.

-Phone rings-

I look over and see Gray calling me.

"You gonna answer that?"

"Nope."

"He won't stop calling then."

I look over and forward his call.

"Just wait."

-The phone rings again-

"Your gonna have to answer it."

"Stay on this side of the room," I say grabbing my phone and walking over to the other side.

I answer the call, not putting it on speaker phone.

"Am I on speaker phone?" I ask before Gray get's to talk.

"Yep. Am I?"

"Nope."

"Aw, why not?"

"You know very well why not."

"Embarrassed much?"

"No."

"I can tell your lying over the phone."

"Sure you can."

"Put me on speaker."

"No way."

As Gray is about to say something and I look away from Alan over to the window my phone is quickly snatched from my hands.

I turn and see Alan put it on speaker.

"It's on speaker." He says over the phone.

"Get your own phone!" I say reaching for it.

I hear the guys chuckle over the phone.

"Gonna finish that sentence or what?" I hear L.J. say with a chuckle.

"Finish that sentence and you will wake up in a coffin in the Gulf of Mexico."

"Afraid I can't finish that sentence until Beth over here isn't looking."

"And that is why I hide my phone from you."

"So Beth, you know anything about where Tori could be, hasn't said a word to us."

"Who's Tori?" Alan asks looking at me and back to the phone.

"Hot, mute, street fighter who went on vacation for awhile," L.J. says.

"How hot we talking here?" Alan asks smiling at me.

*Mentally dies a little on the inside*

"Fit model, quiet yet cute type of hot," one of the other guys say.

I am going to die. I'm dead. Think how disappointed they would be if they found out it was my ugly mug behind the mask. Something I would pay millions to see and not experience.

"Personality?"

"Sense of humor, bada$^, loyal, respectful, kinda sweet in a way. Not like most girls, I guess? I don't know."

"She gave up her number one, beloved hoodie when I got shot if that counts for anything." Mason follows up.

"Number one hoodie?"

"She hides her face so when Mason kept her hoodie, gave her a new one that says 'number one bada$^."

"How she react to that?"

"Put it on right after reading the back of it."

"Can I have my phone back? If someone walked in right now I lose it."

"One more thing, have you heard from her Beth?"

"Yeah, she's taking some time off to better improve before coming back so she can get ahead of the game."

"Alright then. Later Beth and Beth's roommate."

"Bye."

"Later."

-Gray hangs up.-

Alan tosses my phone.

"So this Tori girl..."

"Don't you start, I hear enough about her from them."

"Nah, haven't even seen or met the girl. Besides I have my eye on someone else."
