He and I walk back and stop at my locker to put my things away then head outside to the outdoor lunch area. We walk till we reach the side of the school in the field which few other people are at. The other guys are all sitting on the sidewalk and have their feet in the grass. I take my seat next to Trever and A sits next to me.

"There they are."

I bring my legs up to my chest and rest my arms on my knees.

"So, how was hanging out with Tori?"

"It was fun, mainly just talked though."

"Is she here today?"

"Yep."

"Is she out in this field?"

"It's up to her whether you guys know who she is or not."

They quickly turn their attention away from me and look over to eight figures that soon come in front of us. Henry, Jace, Daniel and two other guys named Jacob and Will. They each stand in front of one of the guys while all three girls stand in front of me. We all stand up. I am the first to speak.

"Wow, you girls really want me to roast you again? I suggest you walk away. Bring your paid boyfriends with you too." They all look to me.

"Last time I checked, your the one who needs friends in order to protect your sorry a$^."

"I can handle myself if you guys haven't realized, six against one isn't a fair fight. Or are you just that dumb?"

"I didn't ask for your opinion."

That doesn't even make sense. Whats wrong with this girl?

"Just go back to the hole you crawled out of," Lela says, backing up Britney.

"Your butt must be pretty jealous with all the crap that comes out of your mouth." They quickly shut their mouths and I hear a few guy chuckle till one of the guys throw a punch at me.

I quickly grab it and without thinking return the punch making him fall back. Another throws a punch at Trever which he dodges and tackles him. Gray soon throws a punch after almost being punched himself and fights between us all break loose.

"Hey!" a teacher screams.

I hide my face and so does the rest of us as we all split up and run. Me and the guys all run to the back of the school and lean against the walls making ourselves look innocent then look down the school, opposite of the way we came as if we watched a few people book it.

A teacher soon comes around the corner as we look the other way as if the people fighting just went that way. We all look back at each other than to the teacher.

"Did you kids see anyone come this way?"

"Yeah, a few just ran past us and down that way, what happened?" I ask innocently.

"It's fine." With that, she turns and heads the way she came.

Gray looks around the corner and turns back to us.

"Coast is clear."

"Man, Beth. That was bada$^" Trever says looking to me.

I slowly drop with my back against the wall.

"Nice thinking."

I smile.

"Never coming out here ever again," I say closing my eyes with a smile still on my face.

They all sit down with me.

"Need to keep you around with you being able to punch like that."

"Please don't start with that. Don't even want to think about it."

"Tori teach you how to fight like that? She throws punches almost identical to that."

Again, if only they knew.

"Who knew the nerd could talk trash?"

We continue to talk and the bell rings.

"So what are we doing after school?" Mason asks.

"Park?" A offers as he stands up.

"I'm not busy," I say.

"Sure," Gray says standing up offering a hand to help me up.

I take it and he pulls me to my feet.

The day goes on okay. No kids peed themselves so it's a glorious day really. I got a lot of rumors about me said around me though.

'She is high.'

'She is only like that because she knows the bad boys will protect her.'

'She is gonna be pregnant soon.'

'I heard she actually kissed him after punching him.'

I didn't see the girls though. Guess they just don't want to deal with me. I head out early today and make it outside, looking out for Gray and everyone till I feel my hair be pulled back and are pulled into someones tight grip.

"Thought you could get away with that stunt huh?"

They quickly pull me from view to behind some trees and next to a metal fence. They push me into the fence which is cold and hits hard against my face. My fingers grip around the cold metal to stay there but they quickly turn me around, pulling me from the fence and to face them. I watch Daniel pull a small concealed handgun.

"Lisen and listen well. You will stop hanging around them, or else not only will this continue, it'll be worse."

They quickly punch me in the face and I retaliate and kick up as hard as I can where I know too. Henry drops to the ground and groans in pain. It's only Daniel and Henry. I get out of Daniels reach, throw a hard punch, making my knuckles burn and bleed and run.

I race down the yard leaving them behind and make it to the parking lot where I see the guys in the parking lot with their motorcycles. I jog over.

"Where were you?"

"Finishing class."

"Then what's up with your nose?"

I bring my finger to my nose and feel just above my lip. I look at my finger, blood covers it. I quickly wipe it away.

"Must be the cold air."

"Where are they?"

"Who? Come on, let's go."

I see them watch me as I walk past them to the motorcycles.

"Riding with me today princess," Gray says coming over to his motorcycle.

I follow him over and he hands me a jacket along with a helmet and gloves. I slide on the leather jacket and instantly become engulfed in warmth. I hug it a bit tighter to myself as it warms my cold arms. I slide on the gloves and helmet as they individually turn on their motorcycles. Gray soon motions for me to get on and I slide into the back seat. I turn on my speaker as he backs out. It soon connects and I wrap my arms around him, under his arms. He turns his mirror to face me as I use one hand to close my visor. He soon takes his last foot off the ground and we head out.

He messes with me a lot, stopping and going quickly making me have to tighten my grip or end up bumping my helmet into his. I get chills up my spine from cold air reaching through my yoga pants and I watch Gray smile at me in the mirror.

We soon reach the park. Gray parks next to L.J. and is first in the line of motorcycles. Once he turns it off and puts down the kickstand he offers a hand to help me off. I take it and get off.

He follows after me and I slide off my helmet and gloves, he takes it from me, putting it in his saddlebags.

"Keep the jacket for now." He says as we all go to the sidewalk leading to the park.

"Didn't plan on giving it back anyway."

He smiles at me. We all walk to the park and stand on the sidewalk.

"Well? Where to?"

Mason walks first and I follow behind him with Gray and L.J. next to me. He walks over to the swings and sits on the higher one. I sit on the one on the very end while Gray stands against the pole supporting it. The rest of the guys except A and Trever stay standing and don't sit down. Unlike them, I actually swing, still paying attention to the conversation. I soon stop though wanting to catch more of the conversation.

"Wanna grab something from the vending machines?" Trever asks.

The guys all get up and stand up straighter. I stay on the swing.

"I'm good, go ahead without me."

They do and go over to a covered area with benches, getting something from the vending machines. I watch them but someone soon sits next to me. I look over and a high schooler from a different school is looking at me.

"You come here often?"

"Not really."

"So what's your name?"

"Beth."

"That's beautiful."

"Thanks."

"So, Beth, wanna go out for lunch or something?"

"No thanks, I'm fine."

"Aw, come one. It'll be fun." He puts his hand on my leg.

I quickly flinch and pull away.

"Really, I'm alright. Thanks for the offer."

"Just give me a chance."

He turns in the swing to face me and comes closer.

"Sorry, but I have to go," I say getting up to walk over to the guys.

"Hold on, no need to rush, we can just hang here and...talk."He says the last part with hesitation and scan's my body.

He grabs my hand as I go to walk away.

"No, really, I have to go.. I-"

"Hey, babe, who's this?"

Gray puts his arm around my shoulders and pulls me closer to him and away from the guy's grip on my wrist. I know what he's doing. But the suddenness renders me speechless. And what he calls me leaves me dumbfounded.

"Who are you?" He stands up and looks at me and Gray.

"Her boyfriend."

"So you're the lucky one?"

"Yep. Luckiest guy ever." As he says it he pulls me closer to him and I wrap my arm around him.

I don't know why exactly he's helping me out but I appreciate it more than anything. Hearing him call me his girlfriend and 'babe'  leaves me speechless though. I am not about to deny it and continue to let this guy hit on me but I am unable to find words to say to Gray right now.

"Didn't catch your name," Gray says with his arm still around me.

"Noah, you?"

"Gray."

"Nice to meet you."

"You too."

 They shake hands.

"So you two know each other?"

"No, actually. Just wanted to say hi."

"You alright?" Gray says looking at me.

"Yeah, I'm just fine," I say smiling at him, playing along.

"How long have you guys been together?"

"A few months now," I say. Gray rubs my arm and smiles. He is enjoying this way too much.

"Wow, so you guys are serious?"

"Yep," Gray says kissing me on the cheek. I let him and kiss him back, on the cheek.

"Cool, well, I better get going. Hope to see you later Beth."

He walks away and when he is out of view I push Gray off me and he laughs.

"I did not think you were going to play along! I thought for sure you were gonna punch me after kissing you on the cheek!"

"Anything to get away from that situation," I say rolling my eyes at his smile.

"We a thing now?" Gray asks laughing.

"No. But thanks for the help."

"Anytime."

Me and him begin to walk over and he elbows me.

"Can't believe you kissed me back and didn't give up the act."

"Can't believe you called me 'babe'," I say elbowing him back harder.

He elbows me again and I almost fall over. I steady myself and run back into him making him almost fall over as we reach the guys.

They start to applauded and Gray takes a bow and so do I.

"Truly looked like a couple!" L.J. says.

"The kiss really sold it." A adds.

I roll my eyes.

"I should just have played the 'I'm gay' card," I mumble under my breath.

"Yeesh, no need to scream that to the park!"

The guys all smile at us.

"So, are you guys gonna become a thing or not?" Mason says.

"No-"

"Yes." Gray says overlapping my 'no.'

I look at him and raise an eyebrow, crossing my arms.

"I'm messing with you, calm down."

We all talk and they taunt me over what just happened.

"I got an idea of what we can do."

We all look over to Mason and he quickly touches my shoulder and backs up.

"Tag, no tag backs."

All the guys instantly back up. They take their tag very seriously these guys. I roll my eyes and walk over to L.J. he stands there and we both hold our hands over each other. If I tag him and don't say it in time, he can tag me back.

We all continue to chase each other and as I am running from Gray, I make my way up the playground and he doesn't stop. I look back at him as I grab the pole on the side and slide back down to the bottom. The sun is actually going down at this point. As I run I am lifted off the ground by L.J. and put over his shoulder.

"Put me down! This is cheating!"

He turns as I pound on his back and kick my feet trying to make him drop me. He ignores me and the guys surround me.

"This is so unfair. I can't do this to you guys." I pout.

I finally give up and rest my elbows on his back and put my head in my hands watching the guys surround me and L.J.

"Dirty cheaters," I mumble making sure they still hear me though.

"Tag," Gray says as he touches my shoulder.

"Gonna put me down?"

"Nope."

"I'm slipping!"

"No, your not."

"I'm gonna fall!"

"Knock it off!"

"Help!" I continue trying to get him annoyed enough to drop me. I am actually just fine and just want down.

"Really?"

"Yes. I'm gonna die!" I squirm even more.

"Yeah, you will if you don't stop moving."

"I'm falling!"

"Alright, put her down," Mason says smiling at me.

He lets me go and I slide down. He smirks at me and shakes his head, I return with a smile. The rest of the guys show me the same smirk.

"Guy's, fights are gonna start soon. We should get going. Wanna come tonight Beth?"

"Can't."

"Will it really be that bad if you stayed out just a little late?"
