"I swear I'm getting fatter." Jenny complains as she looks at her reflection in the mirror.

I laugh at my friend, "You're not even showing yet." She's only five weeks pregnant. It's been about a week since we found out about Jenny's situation and as far as I'm concerned no one's parents know. The only people she's told were Luke and Dean.

Jenny zips up her dress and then walks over to my bathroom to apply her makeup. The masquerade is tonight so we're supposed to meet up with the boys in about an hour. "Why are we going to this thing anyways?" Jenny whines from the bathroom.

"Since when do you not want to go?" Becca retorts. Normally Jenny loves an excuse to get dressed up.

Jenny scoffs, "Since I found out I was pregnant. Not to mention the nausea."

Becca looks at me and whispers, "Hormones." To me while pointing at Jenny.

Jenny glares at Becca playfully, "I heard that."

"Livia, will you help me with my corset?" Becca asks as she walks up to me. I stand and begin to tie her in. Becca's theme is steampunk. Her dress is striped with black and blue colors and she has a matching hat with a feather that connects to her white mask, it's very cute all put together.

Once I'm done with her corset she finishes getting ready. I went for a The Princess Bride themed dress so I don't have to deal with anything poofy or tight. My dress hugs me and pools at my feet with long silver sleeves. "What do you think?" Jen asks once she's finished.

"Beautiful." I tell her honestly. Jenny went for a more ball gown theme with a cream colored gown and tight curls. Her mask has little music notes on it and ties in the back with a black ribbon.

Jenny smiles at me and then rushes to the bathroom to grab something. When she comes back out she's holding a tube of lipstick, "It's dark red, and it'll look great with your outfit." I take the tube and apply the lipstick, she's right, it makes the silver pop. "Okay, let's get going."

The car ride over is a little more than interesting with Jenny threatening to hurl in Becca's car but we finally make it.

"Did I tell you that you look beautiful tonight?" Dean whispers in my ear as we dance. I shake my head as if it wasn't the fifth time he had said it since we arrived. "Well you do." I lean up and kiss him quickly so that the chaperones don't notice.

It truly is a ball, everyone is dressed in a gown of some sort and every male a bow tie suit. Along with that not one face is uncovered in a mask. There is even a crystal chandelier dangling from above our heads and it reflects dim light off of the walls.

After another song I look over at the punchbowl and tell Dean I'll be back with some. I've never really cared for punch so I just grab Dean a cup and grab myself a bottle of water. "I wouldn't drink that if I were you." A deep voice that I've come to know says beside me. I look up to my teacher, my breath almost hitches at the sight of him. He's completely clean shaven and his hair is neatly combed over with a black mask that makes the green in his eyes seem even more prominent. After a few seconds of me staring at him Mr. Morgan adds, "I saw a few guys put alcohol in it."

I set down the cup of punch I was going to take to Dean. Mr. Morgan fixes his gaze on me and I suddenly feel self-conscience under his stare. "Why didn't you say anything?" I ask him regarding the spiked punch.

He shrugs, "I was young once, I decided to let them have their fun."

I smile, "You're still young, Mr. Morgan." I look behind him and see Dean talking with Luke. Luke hands my boyfriend some kind of container to which Dean hides in his jacket pocket.

"How are you two?" Mr. Morgan inquires once he's figured out what I'm looking at.

I look back at him, "We're better." I tell him.

"That's good." Mr. Morgan says but it comes out as more of a whisper.

Just then, Dean comes up to the left side of me and wraps his arm around my waist pulling me to his side. "Hey teach, what are you doing here?"

Mr. Morgan gives him a closed mouth smile, it's not genuine like the smiles I'm used to from him. "I'm a chaperone, perks of being new."

"Oh, well good luck with that." He waves at Mr. Morgan and pulls me a foot away. "Do you want to get out of here?" Dean asks suggestively. I notice how glossy his eyes are and smell alcohol on his breath.

"Are you drunk?" I question.

Dean looks back at Mr. Morgan who is still standing in ear shot. He takes my arm and drags me farther away, "Why would you say that with our teacher right there?" He asks aggressively.

"Answer the question."

"Yes, Fuck!" He whispers yells.

I think back to the container Luke gave him, "Have you and Luke been drinking all night?"

Dean shrugs, "We may have pre gamed a little but it didn't hit me until a few minutes ago." He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me in, back to being seductive, "Now come on, let's get out of here."

I shake my head, "No Dean, you're drunk."

He frowns, "Why are you such a bitch?" Before I can respond he grabs my arm and begins dragging me out of the gym.

"Where are we going?"

"We're leaving." He growls as we walk out and to his car. There isn't anyone else in the parking lot which makes me nervous.

"Dean I don't want to go yet. The dance isn't even over." I try to pull away from him but he just tightens his grip on me. When he ignores me I stay silent until he reaches his car, "No, you can't drive. You've been drinking." I say as he finally lets me go.

Dean grabs at the strands of his hair and pulls before yelling, "Just shut the fuck up!"

I can't help the tears that prick the back of my eyes, he's so scary when he's like this. "Dean what's wrong?" I cry.

He laughs humorlessly, "You think I wouldn't find out? Becca told me that you went with him."

I look around to see that there still isn't anyone outside. "What are you talking about?" Just as I say that Dean comes up to me and grabs my waist so that I'm forced to look at him.

"I'm talking about you acting completely different all year. Then I find out you were comforting Jake last week? Did you fuck him in the car? He's having a baby for God's sake!" It hits me that he thinks Jake and I have been seeing each other.

"I am a virgin Dean, and I would never betray you or my best friend by hooking up with Jake. You're acting crazy you have to know that." I try to remain calm but my voice is shaky.

I wince at how hard his hands are grabbing my waist but he doesn't seem to notice. "You're right." Without a word he puts his lips on mine angrily and I move my head around, there is no way I'm going to kiss him like this. "You won't even kiss me now?" He scoffs.

His hands tighten on me, "You're drunk and you're hurting me." I say as tears fall down my face.

Dean doesn't listen to me, he just shakes his head at me, "If you're not going to give me what I want then I'll find someone who will." He states as he pushes me down causing me to hit the car and fall to the ground. I scream in pain, trying to catch my breath.

Dean walks to the other side of the car and gets in starting it up, "No, you can't drive!" I yell but my voice comes out hoarse. He backs up and speeds out of the school parking lot leaving me behind.

I force myself to stand up once the pain subsides and pull my phone out to call Becca. "Hey where did you two go?" She asks immediately.

I can't help but cry loudly into the phone, "Dean left, I don't know where he went." I sob.

"What? What happened?"

I can't tell her everything, I just can't, "We got into a fight and he just left. He's drunk Bee and he wouldn't listen to me."

I hear the chatter diminish as she walks out of the gym, "I'm on my way, and I'll take you home. It'll be okay."

Becca hangs up as she walks outside and hugs me immediately. We get inside her car and I'm reluctant to tell her what the fight was about. She understands and tells me to just focus on my breathing. "I'm sure he's fine but just in case I asked Jake to go look for him." Becca says when she pulls into my driveway. "I'm going to kill Luke and Dean for this."

I shake my head, "It's not Luke's fault. Dean should know his limit and not to drive." I don't think I convinced her but she nods nonetheless.

"Are you going to be okay?" Becca asks.

I wipe away my tears, "I'm just worried about him. Will you call me if Jake finds him?" I've sent Dean numerous messages that he hasn't responded to yet.

"Of course, get some sleep though." Bee says. I thank her and make my way to the door.

Becca drives away and I stay staring at the door not wanting to go inside. It's so lonely there. My parents aren't home and I don't know if I can handle that right now so I turn around and begin walking.

I don't know where I'm going but I need to clear my head. How did things get so bad between Dean and me? Everything was perfect last year but now it's so much worse. Maybe he's right, maybe it is me and how different I've gotten towards him.

The truth is that we both have changed and maybe it just doesn't work anymore. I don't know how much more of this I can take. I think about what he said, "If you're not going to give me what I want then I'll find someone who will." Did he mean that? Does he have someone else?

I stop and take my mask off. I need to stop thinking about him and everything he's done. I need to clear my mind. The only person who's ever made me stop thinking about Dean is Mr. Morgan...so much for my life getting better.
