My classes this semester are mainly more gen-eds. I'm taking a second English class, Intro to International Communications, and Sociology. It's only been a week since the next semester started but, so far I'm liking it. My first year in college is likely to be a breeze. My professors are even old and boring. It's a good thing considering the young, attractive ones tend to add drama into my life.

Not that Shawn is dramatic but well, we all know how things have gone between us in the past. I think that if I- "Oh no." I say, interrupting my thoughts and rushing to the bathroom. Shawn walks in behind me, rubbing my back while I throw up everything I've eaten in the last few hours.

"Are you okay?" He asks, to which I roll my eyes. It's not his fault, his questions just annoy me.

I flush the toilet and stand up to brush my teeth for the second time that morning. "I can't keep food down so not really, no." Unfortunately, the wonders of pregnancy aren't so wonderful.

Shawn looks at me solemnly, I know he wishes he could do something to help me. "Do you want me to come with you to your appointment tomorrow?"

I look at him through the mirror. He's excited for a baby, admittedly more than I am. Only I wasn't supposed to get pregnant for years to come. Long after things had blown over and we could come out to the world. Our future scares me because I feel as though I'm too young. I don't know the first thing about children or babies, I was an only child. Then I look at him, and how excited he gets talking about it. Shawn's eyes light up in the way that I hope my baby's will. "Yeah, if you can get off of work." Of course I want him with me. Doing this in secret is bad enough, doing it alone would be ten times worse.

Shawn puts his hands on my shoulder, massaging lightly. I close my eyes and allow myself to relax. "I have a meeting but I moved it up."

Nodding, I move out of the bathroom and sit on the bed. "Sorry it's just...I guess I'm still not used to this." I apologize.

Shawn stands in the doorway of the bathroom, looking at me lovingly. He's understanding and patient, it's everything I'm not. "It's okay I'm not either."

"You're not?"

He shakes his head. "Are you kidding? I've been through this before and it was terrifying. Mainly because I knew Katherine and I could never work. I'm scared something is going to go wrong." I never thought about how he ended things with Katherine. She lied to him, used drugs as an excuse to leave him. Even though it turned out different in the end, he had thought his child was gone.

I stand up and walk over to him. I intertwined my fingers with his own, "I'm scared too." I admit, letting him know we're in this together.

Shawn leans down and kisses my lips. I smile and take a step back, "We both have to get going or we'll be late." I have Inter Comm in forty minutes, with New York traffic.

"Fine." He groans. "It's not fun without you in one of my classes."

I laugh, "Seth is in one of your classes."

"You mean the same Seth that wanted to date you last year?"

He follows me out of the room and down stairs so I can get my shoes and coat on. "No, the Seth that's dating Hunter." I haven't checked up on them much but as far as I'm concerned they're still a thing.

Shawn chuckles as he zips up his coat. "Oh right. Do you plan on telling him about us?"

"Right now, it's not exactly on my list of priorities." Shawn opens the door for me,

"Understandable." He says, "I'll be five minutes behind you."

I kiss his cheek quickly, "I'm going to see Katie after class but maybe I'll stop by your office after."

Shawn smiles, "I look forward to it." He tells me, just before I leave.

In class, I sit in the back and feel my phone vibrating. I take it out, seeing a notification on Instagram, Facebook, and snap chat. They're all from Dean. I delete them all, regretting my previous decision of following him on Instagram.

After we're dismissed, I walk the five minutes it takes to get to Katie's dorm. "Knock knock." I say, opening the door.

"You technically still live here, you don't have to knock." She deadpans.

I look around her side of the room, noticing most of her things packed in bags. "Are you moving out?"

Katie zips one of the bags up and turns to me, "No I've just been spending a lot of time at Jacks."

I sit down on my bare mattress. "Oh things seem to be getting pretty serious." I notice.

My roommate smiles, "So far yeah. I know it sounds crazy but, I think I'm in love with him."

I can't help but squeal at the news. "That's awesome! Are you going to tell him?" I know he feels the same way.

"I don't know, what if he doesn't say it back? Or what if he sees me only as his college trophy girlfriend?" All valid points, I'll admit. However, I happen to know otherwise.

Especially if he trusted her with everything that went down during Christmas. "Please, there's no way he doesn't have feelings for you."

Before she can respond, there's a knock on the door. I'm closer so I answer it. A tall scrawny man with brown hair and a bouquet of lilies stands before me. "Livia Gardner?" He asks. I nod as he hands the flowers to me, "These are for you."

"From who?" I question.

The man shrugs, "Check the card."

"Um okay, thanks." I shut the door after that, bringing the flowers to the desk beside the door. I check the card, only revealing my name on it. "It's blank."

"Secret admirer?"

I shake my head, "Probably just Ty. I'll call him later." He hasn't sent me flowers in months so maybe this is his way of getting a hold of me?

It's not like anyone else knows where I live. "Alright, I have to get these to my car and work a shift at the diner." Katie tells me as she gathers her things. "You can leave those flowers here, they add some pizzazz to this dreary dorm."

I laugh as we walk out together. I say goodbye before we split up and I walk to Shawn's classroom. "Sorry am I interrupting?"

"Livia." Seth notices as I walk in.

Shawn glances up at me, "We were just talking about last year."

"I didn't know you had one of Mr. Morgan's classes this semester?"

I walk in the room further, "I don't I was just-"

"Going over intern options for next year." Shawn saves.

I nod, "He's going to write me a letter of recommendation."

Seth looks between the two of us, "How nice of you, Mr. Morgan." He adjusts his bag on his shoulder and walks closer to me. "Hunter and I are throwing a party this weekend. You and Katie should come."

Before I can think about it I say, "Yeah, it'll be nice to catch up."

He smiles, "See you this weekend." He hugs me quickly before turning to Shawn. "See you next week Morgan."

"Mr. Gellar." He dismisses, waiting for Seth to leave before speaking again.

I let out a breath I wasn't aware I was holding in. "I really need to tell him."

Shawn lifts his broad shoulder up into a shrug, "You've had a lot on your mind lately. Tell him when you're ready." I know he's right but it doesn't make me feel any worse. "Are you feeling any better since this morning?"

I smile, he cares about me so much. "Yeah, much. Listen I've been thinking and-"

"Oh no." He jokes.

I ignore him and continue, "I think you should meet up with Jack."

Just like that, his walls come up. "I'm sure he's busy, Livia."

"You haven't talked to him since the flight home. I think it would be good for you." I even gave him Jack's phone number just to message him. No such luck, he's been processing for weeks. "Just think about it okay?"

To my surprise, Shawn nods. "Fine. Now come here." I make sure to close his door before walking over to him. In an instant his hands are wrapped around my waist. I place my hand on his chest, noticing his heart beating a little faster. "I love you."

Just like that, my heart is beating faster too. "I love you too."

The door opening separates us. "You know, you should keep your distance in school." Sam says as he notices what he just walked in on.

It's not worse than what I walked in on in his classroom. "You're one to talk." I say, talking about his affair with Katherine.

Sam smirks, as cocky as ever, "Actually that's what I came to talk to you-" He points to Shawn- "About."

"Why me?"

"You guys were a thing weren't you?"

"More than two years ago." I add, a little aggravated at him.

Sam doesn't acknowledge me and continues talking to Shawn. "I just haven't heard from her all semester. I haven't seen her around either and I was wondering if she told you anything."

Well well well, does the womanizer professor actually have feelings for one of his conquests? "She didn't tell you?" Shawn responds. He continues when Sam shakes his head. "She left New York after last semester. Something about getting away from Livia and I."

"Among other things." I say, talking about her wanting to be closer with her son. I have a feeling that's a detail she never told Sam.

He looks slightly taken aback by the news. "Oh, I see. Okay well, carry on with-" Sam gestures towards us, "Whatever this is." Then he turns around and leaves.

"Is it just me or did he seem...hurt?" Especially rushing off like that.

Shawn leans against his desk, still looking at the door he left out of. "I think so, yeah."

I was under the impression they were strictly casual, especially when Sam confessed he was after me all along. Maybe I was just a cover up for who he really wanted. Maybe he's a lot more complicated than I had anticipated. It doesn't matter, I think to myself. Katherine is long gone, and she's never coming back. "I should go, before anyone else walks in here."

Shawn nods, kissing my cheek quickly. "I'll see you at home." He dismisses.

Home, that's something I'm going to have to get used to.
