When I get home I lock the door behind me. The only people who have a key are Shawn, Dianne, and myself. "This is Morgan's place?"

"Yep. His mom built it onto her building last year." Seth looks around, noticing Shawn and I's prom picture on the side table. "I can't believe this." He sets the picture back down. "So many things are clicking, things I never realized until now." That seems to be something everyone goes through. The longing glances Shawn and I give each other, the staying after school, the disappearing at the same times. I could go on forever.

I grab the flowers from the counter and throw them in the garbage. "We started this fling after he found out about Dean. He was the only one who knew what was going on."

"And he didn't do anything to stop it?" Leaving him needs to happen when you're ready.

Turning to Seth, I shake my head. "He thought leaving him had to be my choice. I was pretty scared about what would happen if I left Dean. So it took me longer than I intended." Then, Hunter came to the rescue without telling anyone his plan.

The next thing I do is lock all of the windows. I don't think dean is dumb enough to break in here but I can't be too careful. He must've followed me here, or looked Shawn up in order to send me flowers. "This is crazy. Morgan could have helped you without taking advantage of you."

I stop what I'm doing to turn to him. "You have no idea what you're talking about." I snap, I'm sick of people constantly thinking the worst of Shawn. "Shawn is the reason I'm still alive. He's the reason I'm not trapped under Dean's thumb right now in California. We fell in love with each other, it's not as wrong as everyone makes it out to be."

Seth puts his hands up in mock surrender, "I'm sorry okay. It's not everyday I realize one of my closest friends has been lying to me to cover up her affair." I know he's right. This must be strange for him hearing it the first time. "The whole thing with Dean too I mean, he seemed legit."

"About that." I say, moving to sit down. "Did he ever give you a reason as to why he moved here?" Since I'm the big bad ex who ran him out of town. It wouldn't make sense for him to follow me here.

Seth takes a second to think about his response. "Yeah, actually. He mentioned wanting to see you after he got settled in. He wanted to confront you about how things went down and possibly get you back." Seth rakes his fingers through his hair. "It just doesn't make sense. He seemed so nice and normal."

I meet his eyes. "Dean always does at first. All of my friends absolutely loved him, and my parents thought he was perfect for me. Hell even I-" I pause, thinking of all the good moments we had before our senior year. "Even I fell for it." Dean is charming, attractive, and smart. He found a way in the second he walked into that library. Not that his intentions were bad from the start. Who knows, he could've slowly been grooming me since day one.

I check the time, Shawn should be home in a couple of hours. "I appreciate you coming here with me but you don't have to stay. Shawn won't be home until almost four."

Seth continues to look around, at the pictures and layout of his professor's house. "Nope, I'm staying right here." He finally sits down with a grunt.

    Shawn's P.O.V.

"Alright guys, the assignments are up on the board. Once you write it down you can leave." Instead of writing it down, my class takes a picture on their way out. "I guess that counts. See you Thursday." I leave the door open, trying to get my things together.

There's a knock on my open door. "Hey Teach." I halt all of my movements and look up. Standing inside my classroom is Dean Cooper. With shorter hair and the same stupid smirk. He walks in further, getting close.

I waste no time in grabbing his shirt and putting him against the white board. "What the fuck are you doing here?" I spit, unable to contain my built up aggression towards him.

He smiles at me, "Easy, how would it look if someone saw you?" Dean glances over to the students walking past my room. Thankfully, the door isn't wide open. I drop him, taking a step back.
Dean brushes off his clothes. "I just came to say hi. Also to politely ask you to back off of Liv. I'm really trying to make a good impression here."

"Maybe start by not calling her Liv." Dean doesn't honestly think he'll get her back does he?

My question is answered almost immediately, "God it's so hard to break habits like that. I'm trying here, honestly. Anything to get her back am I right?" He says in a cocky tone.

I cross my arms over my chest in an effort to hide my fists. "What is your obsession with her? She's never going to want you after everything you pulled."

He sticks his hands in his jean pockets. "She'd still be with me if you hadn't interfered. We were good together, and we can have that again." Before I can respond he adds, "Did she tell you that I was coming?"

"What? No, she has no idea you're even here."

Dean moves to lean back against one of the desks. "Are you sure? Because I told her I'd transfer here at my mom's rehearsal. In the bathroom, when I had her pinned against the wall." I take a step towards him but he moves and backs up. "I'm not here to fight you, Teach."

"If you ever go near her I'll break every bone in your body." I've been itching to hurt him ever since I found out about what was happening to Livia. Not to mention she's pregnant now. There's more to think about.

Dean walks back over to the door. "I'm going to pretend that a faculty member of this school didn't just threaten me." He's acting casual, like he's had a plan all along. "Here I thought we could have a nice, civil, conversation."

I chuckle humorlessly, "Why would you possibly think that?" I know why, it's because he's messing with me. He wants to get a rise out of me, to play games just like Katherine. The worst part is he's more dangerous to Katherine. "Forget it, I don't care. I just want you gone."

He clicks his tongue, "I traveled across the country for Livia. I'm not leaving without her." Dean walks over to one of the students desks and takes a seat, propping his feet up. "Did you know we used to have a plan? For years we talked about moving to California for college. She used to say she wanted to go to New York. She used to ask why we couldn't just be happy here instead. Looking back, I should've given her a chance."

"But you want to take her back to California?"

Dean's eyes narrow on me. "Well we can't stay here, not with you here."

He really has a plan that he thinks will work out in his favor. "She'll never leave me for you."

"No? What's the expression? Once a cheater...always a cheater." He knows it wasn't like that, yet he's using it against me.

I lift my arm and point to the door, tired of this conversation. "Get out of my classroom."

Dean sighs, lowering his feet and standing up. "Fine, I'll see you soon Teach." Then he walks out of the room, closing the door behind him.

I lean against my white board for a second, in an attempt in gathering my thoughts. I never thought Dean was crazy enough to pull something like this. Now that he is here, I have no idea how to handle it. For the most part, I'm in the same position as last year. One thing is clear though, and that's this thing needs to come to an end. Before Livia gets hurt.

So I cancel my classes for the rest of the day and leave, hoping Livia is home safe and sound when I get there.

The receptionist stops me on my way inside. "Someone left something for you, Mr. Morgan."

I halt, turning to him as I walk up to his desk. "What is it?" I ask.

He moves behind him to grab it. When he turns back around, he's holding a bouquet of flowers. I take it from him and look at the note. It only says my name but I know it's from Dean. Which means he was the one sending Livia flowers this whole time. "Uh, thanks but you can just toss these." I set them back on the desk.

"Are you sure?"

I take a step back and begin walking past the desk. "Yep." I rush to my door and hurry to unlock it. "Livia are you-" I stop when I see Seth standing right next to her. "What's going on here?"

Seth juts out his chin, "I may have run into Dean." Livia smacks his arm, he adds, "By run I mean, talked to on a daily basis since the semester started."

What? "Yeah, I just ran into Dean myself. He has it in his head that he's getting Livia back." I set my stuff down on the countertop, noticing the flowers that were there are gone now. The next thing I know, Livia has her arms wrapped around me. It's a little awkward with Seth here but I hug her back. Hearing that Dean is back must've scared her. "Hey, it's going to be okay."

I rub her back as she nods on my chest. Livia pulls away and looks up at me. "Sorry it's just...been a long day."

I lift my hand up and caress her face, "Don't apologize."

"Wow this is weird." Seth mumbles, pulling us away from each other's gaze. "I mean it's not everyday I find out that-" He gestures at the two of us, seeming at a loss for words. "Never mind." He decides. "Livia if you're okay now, I should go home and talk to Hunter. I was pretty rude to him."

She nods, "Yeah, of course. I'll come get my car as soon as I can." Seth doesn't say anything else as he leaves.
