Winnie was scooped up from where she was reading her book on the floor in the living room.

"Hey," she protested, twisting around to find Christian.

"Hey," he grinned. "I have a surprise for you."

"Does it have anything to do with all of the noise I wasn't allowed to know about?"

"Maybe," he said, placing her on his hip. "We put it in here since my room is the biggest, and has the biggest bathroom."

She snuggled close to him as he walked, until she was thrown onto the softest bed. She bounced, laughing gleefully.

It was huge. The biggest bed she had ever seen. There would be more than enough room for her large men.

"Aww, she looks so tiny," Lex said, entering the room. He flopped onto the bed stomach first. The violent motion forced Winnie into the air again and she gave another laugh.

"I don't think I can make this bed," Winnie said. They loved seeing her happy. She had been acting different since they got back, lighter and brighter.

Christian was just happy to be able to move on.

Wilder entered the room and she waved at him.

"Hi," he said, taking a seat on the bed. It was annoying to carry it into the room, but he loved it. Hopefully he could sleep with both legs on the bed now.

"Winnie, we are all done with work for the day," Lex announced, picking her up and laying her on his chest. They treated her like a teddy bear, but she loved it.

"Really?" she looked at Christian who nodded.

"I thought we could go to the market and get the vegetable plants you want to grow."

Winnie didn't know much about plants. The amount of information was overwhelming, but she had reserved a bed for vegetables. She had told them previously that actual plants may be easier than starting from seeds, at least for this year.

Except, since she had met them, she hadn't left the house. This was where she was safe. Why would she want to go somewhere that she wasn't?

"You don't want to go?" Lex asked, rubbing her back.

"I don't know," she mumbled, tucking into his neck. "I've never been there, and what if-"

"Hey," Wilder said, his deep voice rushing over her like a blanket. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to, but we wouldn't let anything happen."

That was true. They had always protected her.

"I can try," she said, moving away from Lex.

Christian cupped her cheeks, giving her a gentle peck.

She enjoyed the car ride. She had ridden over from the hospital when she first arrived. It felt like forever ago.

Wilder took her hand, lacing their fingers as they walked the open outdoor market. Lex was racing around with the cart, using it like a scooter, and Christian was stopping at nearly every booth to talk to people.

She adored that about him though. He was such a great leader.

"Smell this," Wilder said, holding the plant up to her nose.

She hummed, "Lavender?"

He nodded.

"I don't think we'll have room for that," she said, glancing at the cart that already had several plants. She had two pepper plants, and one tomato, and a cucumber and squash plant. That was pretty much all she had room for.

"If you like it Princess, we can get a pot for it."

It was a really pretty purple color, and it would look nice on the patio.

"Can you cook with it?" she asked curiously.

He shrugged, "That's a Christian question. I think you can bake with it."

Wilder bought the lavender, placing it in the cart.

"Look at this," Lex said, gesturing to a booth filled with fresh bread.

"Would you like to try some? I made it this morning," the sweet lady smiled, offering them a sample.

Winnie glanced at Wilder who thanked the lady, picking up a piece for him and her.

"It's so soft," she mumbled. "Like a cloud."

Lex chuckled. They ended up buying two large loaves.

Winnie liked this place. It wasn't too crowded, and everyone was so nice. There was plants and fresh fruits and vegetables, and all kinds of fun stuff. She was fearful of being overwhelmed, but the feeling hadn't hit her once since they had been out.

They reached the end of the row of booths, and there was a food truck.

"They make the food in there?" Winnie asked curiously. "How?"

"There's probably griddles and things in there," Lex said. "Do you want a crepe?"

"Crepe?" she repeated, not knowing the word.

Wilder gave a soft chuckle, just a little rumble. She was so fucking adorable he couldn't help it.

"It's like a really thin pancake that they fill," Christian said, walking up behind them. " Wow, you guys have been busy." He eyed the cart.

"I know which one she will like," Lex said. "What do you guys want?"

The lady in the truck was nice, too. She told them the strawberries were grown by one of the other farmers that were there.

They sat at one of the picnic tables. Her crepe came wrapped up like a cone, and it was warm.

"Chocolate hazelnut strawberry," Lex said, sitting beside her. Whatever it was it smelled amazing, and it tasted even better.

"This is like a date," she smiled, swinging her feet a bit.

"Yeah," Christian laughed.
