Nadia's POV

"I'll be okay Dia. I promise to call Grace or you if something happens,"

Cass was currently standing in front of me trying to persuade me to leave. This has been going on for the past 5 minutes.

She didn't throw up through the night. I stayed up to make sure she was okay and she slept soundly through the night.

My anxiety was still through the roof. I have to be on high alert with her. A mere infection could take her out if we didn't act quickly.

My phone vibrated in the pocket of my joggers and I pulled it out.

I'm outside.

Great, Mateo's here. I had no choice but to trust that she'll be okay.

"I'm being serious. Don't hesitate to call me, I'll be on the first flight home. I love you,"

I kissed her cheeks and moved to grab my bags before rushing to the door.

"I love you too Dia. Remember that,"

Cass replied as my hand landed on the door handle.

I turned around to look at her. She had a small almost sad smile on her face.

I blew her a kiss before throwing open the door.

Mateo paced while taking on the phone. He noticed me and started walking towards me, grabbing the bags from my right hand.

I handed him the bags as he placed them in the trunk.

Soon we were taking the familiar road to the airport.

I'm still not over the fact that he had his own private jet and landing strip. No TSA or anything to go through. Rich people have it easy.

"Mr Hernandez, Ms Matthews," Justin, the pilot greeted as we climbed the stairs of the jet.

We greeted him back and moved to our respective seats. I chose a window seat while Mateo opted to sit across from me in the aisle seat.

"Good afternoon. Please buckle up and prepare for takeoff. Jade will be available if you need anything throughout the flight. The flight will be 10 hours so please get comfortable"

Jade, the air hostess, waved at us as she stood in front of the cabin door.

I put on my seatbelt and pressed my fingers into my thighs as the plane began ascending. Only stopping when we were stable in the air.

I looked down at the city as we got further from it. My worry for Cass still stood.

"Stop that," Mateo spoke making me look at him in question.

"You're bouncing your leg. It's irksome"

I apologized and moved to fiddle with my fingers instead.

"Are you okay?"

I was taken aback by the question but nodded either way.

"Just a little anxious,"

"Why?"

Why did he care suddenly?

"Cassandra was sick last night. I have a feeling something bad might happen to her while I'm gone,"

Why did I open up to him?

"Was she still sick this morning?"

"No, she seemed fine,"

"Then don't worry yourself. I'm sure she'll let you know if something happens,"

He reassured and I nodded, finding false comfort in his words.

Maybe I just needed to hear someone say it.

Mateo worked as usual. I had nothing to do so I decided to listen to a true-crime podcast.

I smiled at the view of the ocean from the balcony. I felt the slight night breeze hit my body through my silk robe. The material blows lightly with the wind.

I looked up at the starry sky, watching the moon provide light along with the stars around it. My eyes slowly closed as I took a deep breath in. Allowing myself to relax while feeling the air fill my lungs and slowly circulate.

Strong arms made their way around my waist and I was pulled flush against a hard chest. I wrapped my arms around his and a soft kiss was placed at the nape of my neck.

"Come back to bed, I miss you,"

I chuckled as I felt something hard pressing into my back.

"You miss me or you want to fuck me?"

The vibration of his own chuckle sent chills down my spine. His lips moved against my neck in a heavenly way. Moving around to my ear.

I let out a breathy moan as his teeth lightly pulled my earlobe between them.

I felt his lips curve into a smirk as his hand rose from my waist to pull my taut nipple. They were rock hard from the wind and my current state.

"Both, now let's go back to bed,"

I turned in his arms and faced the owner of the voice.

Mateo?

I was startled back to consciousness as Mateo shook me awake. He stood in front of me, just staring before he spoke.

"We're about to land, buckle up,"

I stared at his retreating figure trying to calm my heart rate. Pulling out my compact mirror, I made sure my face was clear from any sleep.

My eyes were slightly puffy but that was the only indicator of sleep present. Luckily.

I looked down at the beautiful white infrastructures around the city. The crystal blue water added a wonderful contrast to it.

I braced myself for landing as a runway strip came into my vision. After a few slight jerks, the plane was now moving smoothly across the runway.

"Welcome to Santorini, Greece. The time is currently 17:25 and the weather is a warm 26 degrees Celsius. It's been a pleasure flying with you. Enjoy your trip,"

We stood and collected our belongings before we descended the plane. A sleek black SUV sat parked near the plane, I assume that's our ride to wherever we'll be staying.

My assumption was indeed correct when I sat on the lavish leather seats on the way to our villa.

Mateo had informed me that we will be staying at a villa near the hotel.

I looked out of the window as the streets passed by me in a flash. They looked so full of culture and history.

The pictures certainly don't do this place justice. Being here is the real deal.

The soon the car stopped and I looked at the house in front of me. A single floor beautiful home. It reminded me of the vacation homes I'd see on TV or in luxury lifestyle magazines.

The beautiful white building was surrounded by greenery. From the full lawn to the side plants and flowers.

I thanked the driver when he came to my side to open my door.

I offered to help with the bags but he insisted on carrying them in himself.

I followed Mateo inside and I was in awe of the decoration inside the villa. Modern beach house comfort. That's the style it gave me.

"Let me give you a quick tour,"

I followed Mateo around the house as he showed me around. There were three rooms, each having its own ensuite bathroom. Along with a guest bathroom, kitchen, home theatre, living room and a huge pool outside.

Thankful to myself for packing a swimsuit.

We ended the tour in the room that I'll be sleeping in.

"Freshen up. We leave for dinner in an hour,"

Mateo closed the door and I cussed before throwing open my suitcase. I decided to pull out a light pink sundress with wedges. Hopefully, that'll fit whatever restaurant we're going to.

I took a quick shower. Wrapping myself up in the warm fuzzy towel in the bathroom.

I moisturised my skin with Shea butter and lotion before throwing on my undergarments.

I slipped on the dress before moving to the mirror. Admiring the way it accentuated my waist before flaring till past my midthigh. It was a beautiful summer dress.

I tied up my passion twists into a high bun on the top of my head. My face was bare because I don't think I have enough time to pull something together. Well, bare except for lipgloss.

Exactly an hour later, I left my room with my bag in hand.

Mateo was speaking on the phone while drinking water in the kitchen. I watched as his eyes dragged down my figure. Nodding in approval.

He looked handsome. He wore a wine coloured button-down with black slacks that clung deliciously to his legs.

He was so muscular but I don't know when he fits the gym into his schedule.

We left the villa and entered the SUV again.

The silence that filled the car is something I'm accustom to by now.
