Hey guys! I know it's not Friday but because I love all my mobsters (that's officially you guys new name) I decided to do an update treat. Hopefully this chapter dispels at least a little confusion. Because I do read the comments, I know some of you guys are lost lol. But don't worry, everything will all be explained if not in this chapter then a future update. So here's a treat and I'll see you again Friday!

OH AND BTW, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHECK OUT ONE OF MY OTHER STORIES CALLED ABBERATION AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK.

Thanks guys! <3

"I'm so fucking confused."

With a groan of annoyance Rico takes a step back and leans against the large table in the center of the room. He crosses his legs at the ankles and folds his arms over his chest before looking around, a habit he's developed over the years.

"Well Freddy, when a man and a woman love each other very much they sometimes-"

"Stop bull shutting me Rico. I understand perfectly how someone can have a son. What I don't understand is that if this Vincent character really is Daniel Vino's son. Why haven't I ever heard of him? Why hasn't anyone ever heard of him?!"

"Because he doesn't want to be heard of."

Even though Ray didn't say it, his mind was racing and he was just as confused and irritated as Freddy.

As far back as he can remember he's always been involved with the Outfit. Daniel and he may not be friends, but as a hitman working under the Vino last name Ray made sure he studied up on just exactly who his bosses were and he was positive a second son had never come up.

Samuel Vino was an only child who'd grown up rich and spoiled under his father's care after his mother had died from a terminal illness when he was eight.

His favorite color was red, he was allergic to shrimp, and he spent his free time burying himself inside whatever pretty girl got lucky and his gun inside whichever man happened to be unlucky.

Ray knew everything.

Everything except Vincent.

"So if this Vincent guy is off the grid, and has been all his life apparently, how do you know about him?"

There was a lot Ray wanted to say but his tongue trapped his words on his lips like a silent prayer yet to be spoken. His mind was swirling with different thoughts and ideas and all were confusing him to the point his head began to ache.

He was lost, confused, and overwhelmed with the idea of their being another Vino out there, one possibly worse than the bastard they were currently dealing with.

He was hopeful that maybe there really was a way to win this and, if only they could get Vincent on their side, they could take Sammy down.

But more than anything, Ray was defensive. What else was Rico hiding and why had it taken so long to share this information? Was Vincent really Daniel Vino's biological son and if he was could he be trusted? And even if he could, clearly he was in hiding for a reason. Should they really go knocking on his front door? They could be fighting one war only to go and ignite the fire of another.

The fact of the matter was Ray didn't know anything about Vincent and, with all the bullets that had been aimed his way lately, he'd rather not put his trust into a stranger related to the very man they were trying to kill.

"Whenever I start business with someone new, I make it my job to learn everything there is about that person and everyone close to them too," Rico said.

"We know, because you're a nutcase," Freddy agreed and before Rico could respond, Rowan had jumped to his defense for him and told Freddy to shut up.

And he did.

Rowan wasn't in charge here but everyone knew Rico could handle anyone talking about him, but if Freddy said something smart or rude to Rowan, the man would die a slow and painful death.

It was ridiculous really.

"Like I was saying," Rico growled, shooting a convincing warning glare in Freddy's direction, "studying Daniel himself nothing came up but information I already knew. But then I studied Sammy's mother-"

"Why? Hasn't she been dead for years?"

"God dammit Freddy if you interupt me one more time I'm fucking shooting you! Can you understand that or you wanna ask another question?!"

Even though Ray was sick of these two going back and forth and wasting time, he couldn't help but smirk. Freddy was a "fancy man" so to speak and he liked being in charge, being the one to lead. But everyone knew Rico would die and go to hell before he let someone take control of any situation he was involved in. And unlike Freddy who liked to keep up the image of a sophisticated criminal, Rico was crazy enough to just start killing people if he got annoyed.

"Rico continue," Ray spoke for the first time since Vincent's name was even mentioned.

Still glaring, Rico huffed before pulling the files open and pointing to a sheet of paper.

"I started studying Sammy's mother Victoria and figured out she was crazy as hell. Her worst trait though was jealousy. I already knew Daniel wasn't faithful and so did she apparently. Daniel messed with a lot of women but one of his favorites was a woman named Amani. Some could even say he loved her. Well, Victoria began to get annoyed and one night Amani's car just happened to fly off a bridge. Sammy's mother did it. She was jealous that Daniel spent so much time with this other woman so the crazy butch tried to erase her from the picture. What she didn't realize though was that Amani was pregnant when she flew off the bridge. Doctors saved the baby, but Amani died just five minutes after they took Vincent."

"Does Daniel know?" Rowan asked, a frown on her face.

Rico shuffled through the files again and slid another piece of paper across the table. It was another photo only this time it was of Drita Vino, Daniel's mother and Sammy's grandmother. Ray knew it was an old photo because Dita had passed years ago, but in the picture she was still very much alive and was walking with a little boy who was about two years old holding onto her hand.

"When Daniel found out he knew he couldn't just bring the kid home, Sammy's mother would kill him, but you know how Daniel is when it comes to having kids, especially sons."

"So he pawnned his first born off to his mother. I remember this. Everyone kept asking where she got this baby from and she just said she found him on the streets and decided she wanted to take care of him," Freddy mumbled.

"After Drita died Vincent was already old enough to take care of himself but it's like when she died, he did too. Anything, any information about him ever even existing disappeared. To this day these are the only two photos I could get of him. It made me curious though. Apart from blood Vincent really had no ties to the outfit, so why couldn't he just grow up using a new name and live a normal life? Why was he hiding? It didn't sit well with me so I kept digging and, one day when I came home, Vincent was there."

"Wait so he came to you?"

Rico nodded. "I thought he was gonna kill me or something but instead he just asked me to stop. He said he knew who he was and where he came from, but it was better for everyone if he just stayed gone. I asked more questions, he refused to answer, and then he left. When he was leaving though, one of my guards he'd managed to slip by glared at him and he completely lost his shit. He slaughtered all twelve of the men I had on duty that night. He didn't even have a weapon on him but he beat them all until there was damn near nothing left to recognize them by. And he did it all with a smile."

"Sounds like someone we know," Freddy mumbled, glancing up and meeting Ray's eyes. Ray tensed though, his skin cold for a moment. Had he killed men like that? Yes. Had he gone on a rampage and just murdered people in cold blood before like that? Yes. And he was damn good at it. But there was a distinct difference between Ray and Vincent that separated them by my miles.

"No. No this guy is different. When Ray kills he's in the moment and just doing a job. This guy.....Vincent killed like he enjoyed it, like it turned him on almost. I'm telling you he's a nutjob. But he may just be the nutjob we need."

Freddy sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, pacing the room as Ray leaned forward and rummaged through the few files Rico had managed to keep on this guy. There wasn't much and that alone made Ray frown. Clearly Vincent wasn't afraid to kill someone so where in their gap of missing information had he turned into a murderer? If he really did grow up away from mafia and away from his father and brother shouldn't he have turned out more.....normal?

What the hell had happened to him and turned him into a man who got pleasure from taking life?

"Okay so great, we use Vincent to get to his father and expose Sammy that way when Sammy dies, it's a family affair, and not an Outfit one. Anyone who questions his death or wants to take revenge, both Vincent and Daniel will be there to tell them to stand down."

As they broke it down it all sounded like a wonderful plan. They still had to figure out how they were going to pull it all off, but plays were being set in motion and so far, their little team of outlaws were on top of the game.

So why wasn't Ray comfortable? Why did he feel like something was going to go wrong or there was something about Vincent that they weren't seeing? Something about Danny's involvement that they still weren't seeing?

Why the hell was he so on edge still?

"Hey." Ray looked down and let out a breath he didn't realize hed been holding. Rowan could see it in his stance that he was tense and she sighed, reaching forward and squeezing his hand gently.

"We got this," she whispered.

"What if he says no Row? What if he refuses to help or worse, he rats us out before we can get close enough to finish the job?"

"Then we handle him and anyone else who gets in the way. Come on Ray, I know you're upset about your girl finding out who you are and being involved, but that's not something you can fix. You're Charlie Brown. The Outfit's best and youngest hitman. Before you killed for the hell of it, and you were pretty damn good at it. Imagine how good you're going to be now that you're fighting for something."

Rowan squeezed his hand in encouragement and Ray squeezed hers back. She was right. Ray wasn't gonna drop his guard, but he wasn't gonna chicken out or let his worries intimidate him either.

Hopefully, all would work out, but, if it didn't, it didn't matter. Ray would be damned if anyone got in the way of what he needed to do.

Sliding the files to the side Ray looked up at two out of the only three men left in the world who didn't want to put a bullet to his head. If Gage were here, the team would be complete.

And as small as they were, they all were probably just crazy enough to pull this off.

"The play is set, but now we need our gameplan. We need to figure out how to get into Sammy's and get proof because there's no way Daniel or Vincent aren't gonna want proof. Rico, if what you say is true and Vincent found you the first time, then all we have to do is ask around and he'll come to us again on a silver platter. From there we get him on our team and use him to get close to Daniel. Sammy will be watching us so we've got to keep our heads down but his blow up at the restaurant will keep him in the shadows for a while. That has to be on every news channel in Chicago so we've got some time before he can afford to make another public attack."

"What happens if Vincent finds us before we get the proof we need?" Rico asked and Ray clenched his jaw. There were still a lot of holes he'd yet to fill in with this plan, but he couldn't waste his time worrying about the what if's. Sammy had made his move and now it was time for them to make theirs.

So, with a little bit of confidence and maybe a little arrogance too, Ray shrugged his shoulders.

"Then we bluff until we can get it. At the end of the day no matter how this goes down or what steps we take to get there, I'm cutting the head off the snake. I'm killing Sammy Vino."

Hope you guys enjoyed the treat! And because I don't say it enough, thanks to everyone who still reads this story despite my terrible grammar mistakes but, alas, I am about to begin editing so it should get better soon lol. In the picture above is Rico, played by the male model Victor Ross.
