Just as they were about to walk out if the story Haisley accidentally bumped into a large form. She was busy looking at the receipt and not paying attention to where she was walking. She apologizes but it stops as soon as she looks up and meets the eyes that were similar to hers.

She takes a few steps back until her back touched Bears arm. Her eyes remained wide and her lips closed.

Weak. That's exactly how she felt when she was near Boyd. He scared her. Boyd would do anything for money, even if that meant hurting someone he once cared for.

"H-Haisley. Just the person I was looking for" Boyd's voice was shaking. His hands trembled as he reaches out for Haisley. He was about to step closer until she felt a strong hand take hold of his arm painfully hard.

He flinched and snapped his red eyes over to whoever had laid a hand on him "who the fuck are you?"

"Baby, take Balake to the truck. I'll be right there" Bears death glare never leaves Boyd as he grabs his keys and hands them to Haisley.

She told Bear to be careful before quickly making her way to the truck. She lifts Balake out of the buggy after she opens the back doors of the truck. Balake needed to be out of harm's way before she did anything else.

Once he was buckled in she handed him a toy from his bag so he would be distracted for a while so she could load the groceries.

Haisley would glance over her shoulder to make sure Bear was okay. She knew he could handle himself but her hands still shook nervously.

Taking a few deep breaths in before closing the back doors and pushing the buggy into the pick-up area. As much as she wanted to run over to them and help, she was still traumatized by what happened last time and she couldn't trust her reaction if she was around him long enough.

She gets in the car and stares out the window at the guys. Bear was furious. He still had a grip on Boyd's arm, she was sure it was going to leave a bruise.

Boyd looked at though he was going to shit himself. Haisley was being very anxious as to what was taking so long. They weren't far away from the car so she figured she could step away from the truck for a minute. The air was on in the truck and Balake was busy with the toy.

She got out of the truck and made her way back over to them. "Bear. Come on. He's not worth it" she says to him once she gets close enough to grip the bottoms of his shirt with shaking hands.

"Haisley go back to the truck, I've got more words for this fucker" he says in an angry tone but she knew it was directed towards her.

"Bear. Balake is gonna be hungry soon. Let's go" she tries once again to make him let go and come with her.

"Listen to your little bitch" Boyd spits out making Bear even angrier if that was even possible.

"Boyd. Shut up. Get yourself cleaned up before you speak down on somebody" she had no idea where that burst of confidence came from but regretted when she saw him snatch his hand from Bear and raise it to her.

She flinched harshly, waiting for the impact but it never came. Bear had grab Boyd arm once again but this time twits it behind his back. Boyd groaned in pain at the position he was in.

"You will never lay another hand on her again. Do you understand me, boy? She under MC protection. Any harm comes to her, your ass is 6 feet under." He growls at Boyd and twists his arm a little more making Boyd nod vigorously.

"B-babe. Please can we go home" she begs him as she pulls on his shirt slightly. Bear had let Boyd go with a slight push. Making his fall to the ground.

"You better thank your god that she and Balake are here or else I would stomp your ass now" he spits out before wrapping his arm around her waist and moving towards the truck.

Bear helped Haisley into the truck but didn't move from her side. "When I say stay in the truck I mean it." He says in the nicest tone his angry body could muster up at the moment.

"I know, Bane. I just wanted it over so we can go home and be with Balake" she mutters softly with her head down.

Haisley felt like he was mad at her now. She just wanted to leave that situation and go back to being happy for once.

"Hey. No, baby. I know you were trying to help. I just want you out of his reach. He's not gonna hurt you while I am still breathing" he places his large hand on her cheek, turning her head so she was looking at him.

"We will talk about this later. I want you both settled in and comfortable before tonight." He kisses her forehead before making his way over to his seat.

The ride home silent other than Balake playing with his toys and saying random words.

Bear had kept his eyes on the road and Haisley started out her window.

Even when they pulled back up to the compound. Not a word was spoken. Haisley had tried to say something but Bear had already gotten out of the truck and closed the door.

She sighs softly as she opens her door and makes her way to the back seat. Bear was grabbing the groceries while she was getting Balake and his bag.

Bear stomped angrily into the compound. He walked into the kitchen and laid the bags with everything that needed to go in there on the counter. Knuckles was of course in there so he told him he would find somewhere to place it.

Bear didn't even greet anyone. He only held the door open for Haisley when she had gotten out of the truck, and continued to get the rest of the bags.

K-9 got up as soon as he saw the brown-headed baby she was holding. "Boys, come look at him. He's very handsome" he tells her with a grin on his face. Balake was smiling and waving his little hands around as the brother surrounded them.

"Do you want to hold him?" She asks K-9 since he seemed the most excited about the baby.

Of course, he nodded and held his hands out for him. Balake looked back at Haisley as if he was asking for permission. She only chuckled and helped K-9 hold him.

She ruffled Balakes hair before walking out to the truck. Bear was sitting on his tailgate with his head in his hands.

"Bane?" She calls out in a soft voice while walking into between his legs.

"I'm sorry..." he mumbles as he moves his hands down on either side of him.

"What are you saying sorry for?" She reaches up and places her small hand on his face. He looks down at her with sad eyes.

"When I saw him...I got angry. I've never been that angry before. It...it was like every fiber of my being wanted to smash his head into the ground and make him apologize for everything he has done to you." Bear could feel the burning anger boil in his stomach. His hands started to ball into a fist while closing his eyes.

"Bane. He has had control over me for years. The anger I felt was his control. It overwhelmed me. I will not let him do the same for you. This anger will only cause you to go mad." She tries to level with him but she could feel it radiating off of him.

"Bane! Listen to me" she says a little louder. Haisley didn't like to yell but he was letting Boyd get to him.

Bear's eyes shot open when she yelled. He had never heard her get loud with anyone.

"Haisley. He has hurt you in so many ways. He takes pride in that shit. The bastard takes pride in hurting you" his voice remains low but anger filled.

"I'm here now. Bear. I'm safe here. I and Balake are here with you and your brothers. We are safe" her tone returns to the sweet and loving one she always had with Bear. She placed her other hand on his cheek and pulled his face close to hers, resting her forehead against his.

"You'll always protect and love us, right?" She asks even though she knew that answer.

"Hell yeah," he exclaims but never moves always from her.

"Than that is all that matters." She pecks his lips gently.
