" Rebel?!"

I freeze in place, the voice makes my heart drop, its Tony. Slowly turning around I see him a few feet away standing in pure awe, "DUCK!" he yells, before blasting a guard behind me, preventing him from shooting me. His pace quickens till he right in front of me, he pauses for a moment before wrapping his arms around me, practically squeezing the life out of me.

" Oh my god it's really you, you're alive" he says between breaths, I can't tell if it's me or him shaking.

I laugh a little, trying to push down the tears.

" Really not the time guys" Nat's voice jumps in, looking past Tony I see Natasha, gun lock and loaded ready to fight. Tony lets go of me and lets his mask cover his face again, raising his hand ready to blast.

Soon the whole gang arrives, I even spot Peter shooting his webs at oncoming guards. As the team assembles so do the guards. I leave the majority of the group to go find Luna, Dylan and Jax, racing back to the training arena. Luckily they were all still there, Crystal had regained herself, fighting along side of Aulluver and the trio of super teens seemed to be holding up okay while I was gone.

" Forget about me?" I yell, causing the group to turn around mid battle.

Joining them, I tell the three to let me handle my mother and brother while they go help the Avengers. Luna and Dylan don't hesitate to follow my order though Jax refuses to leave my side.

" Go with Tony and the team, they'll protect you." I call out to Jax who is still going at it with Aulluver.

" No way, then who will protect you?" He answers back, his eyes never leaving Aulluver's.

" You've got yourself quite the little boyfriend huh?" Crystal scoffs, I go to punch her but she leans away and I'm left stumbling.

" Oh please Rebel I think we've taught you to fight better than that" She mocks

By now I'm tired and losing stamina, the overuse of my powers is quickly draining my energy. I struggle to stay on my toes to avoid getting hit by Crystal, who for an adult is still pretty good at combat.I throw punches and kicks and only half of them actually making contact with Crystal, though not enough make her but merely pause before sending a kick to my ribs.

" I hate that we're doing this, a mother never wants to have to end her child, but when push comes to shove..." she says threateningly.

" You wouldn't...you don't have the guts to kill me" I reply.

" Are you sure?" She say, pulling a gun from its halter and aiming it towards me.

Thinking fast I plan to use my powers, get the gun out of her hand, but before I can put in plan into action the familiar feeling of all the air rushing out of my lungs returns.

" You may be my sister, but she's still my mother" Aulluver's voice sounds from behind me.

I gasp and claw at my throat as I collapse onto the floor.

"P-please...mom, don't" I manage to get out, I'm sure this is it, my lungs feel like they've been set ablaze and I'm waiting on my heart to combust.

Then seconds later the feeling of suffocating is gone and the air rushes back into my lungs so fiercely I'm coughing and choking. Looking behind me Aulluver is on the ground in a small pool of his own blood with Natasha standing not far way from him. I turn back towards Crystal who for a split second looks terrified, then all the emotion leaves her face and she is back to looking as cold as ever. Jax is stuck in place after experiencing Aulluver getting shot in the back of his head, and soon the rest of the team, Dylan and Luna come to join us in the training arena. The ten of us all up against one psychotic women. Tony doesn't hesitate to start blasting in her direction, while Steve throws his shield at her. Luna and Dylan are using their powers to help out as well. While the team has her distracted  I use my powers to send a loose punching bag her way, unfortunately she ducks along with everyone else just in time before it hits her.

I watch as she throw each one of the team members into the walls around her, leaving them mostly unconscious. My anger erupts into rage and all the control I had disappears. I scream at an ungodly loud level which sends her flying into the wall behind her, I make my way over to her, now ready to finish her, when I realize she wasn't moving. taking a closer look I notice her neck had been snapped.

" I...I did it." I mumble "she's...dead"

Steve comes behind me and puts a hand on my shoulder " You did what you had to do." he says solemnly

My mind is blank, I killed my mother... I killed my brother. A few minuets later when the unconscious members of the team regained their consciousness they walk over to see the sight for themelves . Tony lets out a long, tired sounding sigh, turning around I meet his eyes

"Do you remember her?" I ask quietly, looking down at her dead body

" Of course I do..." He answers grabbing my hand and squeezing it.

" Uhh guys..." Clint interrupts, urgency in his voice

Walking over to him I see the punching bag I attempted to throw at Crystal earlier, peaking out from under it looked to be a persons hand, still and cold. My heart drops,  I look to where Aulluver is lying still one the ground across the room, then I count the team, Dylan and Luna, but one is still missing.

I think the rest of the team made the same realization because before I could even say anything Clint grabs me and pulls me into his side, shielding my eyes from the sight. Tony and Steve together clear the rumble and move the now destroyed punching bag, revealing an alarming still Jax. Pulling myself out of Clint's grasp I run over to Jax's side and cradle the top half of his body.

" No, no,no" I repeat, voice cracking.

Behind me I could hear the sad mumbles of the other Avengers, no one dares to approach me.

" Jax, Jax please....no Jax....I'm so sorry" I cry, pulling him into me more.

I feel the presence of someone behind me, It's Peter.

" Rebel,I'm so sorry." he says, crouching down next to me and touching Jax's hand.

My small cry soon turns into ugly sobs that shake my whole body, Peter wraps his arms around me and mumbles apologies into my hair. Behind I hear Dylan and Luna sniffling, realizing he's really gone too. Tony comes and tries to get me to let go of Jax's body, but when he touches my arm I scream for him to get away.

" It's all my fault...I-I forced him to come with me here, I'm the reason he's dead!" I sob, Peter just holds me tighter, knowing too well how I was feeling. Soon I'm so hysterical I can't even hold onto Jax anymore, once I let go Peter fully embraces me, helping me to stand up. I'm led out of the arena by Peter and Tony not far behind, and onto the quin-jet. Once there were physically no more tears to cry I cashed, Peter still holding me.

(Hours later)

I wake up to the sound of hushed voices.

I groan and slowly open my eyes seeing Bruce by my side, he gives me a small smile when he notices I'm awake. When I realize I'm most definitely not on the quin-jet panic sets in, jolting up only to have Bruce scold me for doing so, telling me to "take it easy".

" What happened? Where is he? WHERE IS HE?'"

" Rebel, you're home and you're safe now" He says calmly.

I don't care where is he?

" Where is Jax?" I ask again, this time with more force.

When I get is a sad look from Bruce the memories come rushing back.

Crystal...Aulluver...Jax...all dead, because of me.

Bruce must have saw how upset I looked because he instantly started fumbling for words

I...we did everything we could...He didn't...I couldn't" He stutters, clearly unable to come to the fact that he was really dead and there was no one who could have saved him.

A small stream of tears run down my face, all the overwhelming emotions left me unable to even express them physically.

" Rebel I truly am sorry, it wasn't your fault."
