I had forgotten the misery of waking up at five am, and apparently Hydra doesn't use clocks.

I rub the sleep out of my eyes and stretch while the guards were unlocking my cell, the handcuffs were put back on and I was walked out. There was Jax looking possibly more tired than me, handcuffed and at the guards side like an animal. We are led through multiple hallways till we stop in front of a door, from the looks of it I can't remember that I had ever been in here so I had no idea what was lying on the other side of it, which almost terrified me more than the things I did know.

The guard opens the door  to a compact room with a wide wooden desk, and sitting behind it was Aulluver. The guards push us into our seat and one of the two guards unlock our handcuffs while the other stands by the door. Once both guards are ready they exit the room, locking it after them.

" I'm glad the two of you agreed to come" Aulluver says with a fake smile.

I scoff, out of the corner of my eye I see Jax tense beside me.

" So what are you gonna do, interrogate us?The whole 'easy way or hard way' shit?" I ask derisively .

" No, just some question, see where your loyalties lay." Aulluver say  calmly.

"Hmm" I hum.

" So what really brought you back, I know it wasn't me." Aulluver says seriously, leaning forward on his elbows.

" It's like you said, the Avengers couldn't handle me, hell they were afraid of me." I ans trying to match his nonchalant tone.

" So you just decided to come back on your own? Seems weird because the last time we met you were fighting with the Avengers against me." He brings up, seeming more and more suspicious of my claims.

" Look, I know how it sounds, but after that night the Avengers disowned me, threaten my life, said it was my fault or the death of Pete-Spiderman." I say, trying to quickly cover up my slip up. Of course Peter didn't actual die that night, but I thought it would spark an interest to help convince Aulluver.

"So you came for revenge?" Aulluver clarifies.

" Well I guess you could say that, I really came to see if you can help strengthen my powers, and maybe together we can bring the fall of the Avengers... for good" I say leaning in, locking eyes with him

" How can I be so sure you don't have other motives?" he says, sitting back from the desk.

" I spent months with the Avengers, I know their weaknesses, their fears, what makes them tick, I can assure you my loyalties are with Hydra." I reply.

" What about him?' Aulluver mentions, now focusing his attention on Jax.

" I-my loyalties are with Hydra as well." Jax answers, I can tell he's struggling to stay calm.

"So what's your story? very few join Hydra without a motive." Aulluver says, seeming more and more interested with the idea of Jax.

I panic, we never thought of cover story for Jax, and with all his nerves I'm sure we'll be made.

" Death of my sister, died in one of the Avengers battles, they just called her and the thousands of others death 'collateral damage'." Jax says, pulling the story practically out of his ass.

I turn to him, shocked he managed to keep his cover. He notices the amazement in my eyes and gives me a quick, small smile.

" So you want revenge as well?"Aulluver asks.

" I want a lot more than revenge, I want them to feel the same pain my family felt when we were told my sister had died." Jax says, anger rising in his voice.

" You wanna make them pay, huh?" Aulluver say, shocked satisfaction on his face.

Jax nods.

I gotta give him credit he's not a bad actor.

"Alright well I'm glad we are all on the same page." Aulluver says, leaning back in contentment.

I shake my head in agreement.

"Questioning our loyalties now?" I ask, trying not to seem over interested.

"Consider yourselves part of the family." Aulluver says grinning.

Aulluver gets up from the desk and walks over to the door and bangs it, probably to let the guards know we are finished. The lock of the door clicks and the door swings open, Jax and I are taken back to our cells and for the first time since we've been here we don't seem to mind the idea of being stuck in a cage.

For the first time I have hope, real hope that when we get out of here we will be the last people to ever have to have gone through it.
