"That's insane, this is insane!" Jax cries, after hearing my far fetched plan.

" You already said you're in, so no going back now." I remind.

Jax sighed in defeat, knowing I was right.

"So when do we leave?" Jax says, now more relaxed.

"...Tomorrow..." I say hesitantly.

" WHAT?!"

***

It's one a.m. and I'm suppose to be asleep along with Jax but the though of leaving tomorrow for Hydra won't let me. The thought of leaving Tony and Pepper again eats away at me, I hate that I have to but if I don't the madness will never end, Peter needs his revenge, even if he can't get it for himself, and Aulluver needs to pay for what he's done.

I toss and turn for hours wondering if I made the right choice, eventually I give up on sleep and get up to get a drink. I quietly slip off the couch diagonal from Aulluver, who still sleeping soundly. Walking into the kitchen and slowly opening the refigerator to get a water bottle, I quickly turn around when I hear a creak in the floor behind me. Flying around I find Jax standing behind me, squinty eyed and messy haired.

" Couldn't sleep?" He asks, rubbing his eyes and sitting at the kitchen table.

" Kinda." I reply closing the refrigerator and joining him.

" Are you scared?" Jax asks, catching me off guard.

" W-what...no are you?!" I answer quickly, luckily it was dark so my nervousness wasn't totally given away.

" Honestly, yeah I am" Jax says in a low voice, I couldn't tell if it was from his sleepiness or vulnerability.

I was at a loss for words, for my time knowing Jax he was the braver of us two, always strong, on the streets back then as kids and now. I never understood how he did it, or even why, I just assumed he never wanted me to worry.

For a split second Jax and I lock eyes, a flash of an emotion I couldn't decipher is there then leaves just as quick.

" I lied, I'm terrified." I blurt out, not even sure why I said it.

" I don't blame you, you're risking a lot." he says.

" That doesn't make me feel better Jax." I say, laughing uneasily.

He smiles too, which that makes me feel better.

***

We never did fall back asleep last night, just stayed up for the rest of the night talking. By the time the sun came up we were already prepared to leave.

" Ready to go?" Jax says, zipping his small duffle.

" As ready as I'll ever be." I reply, taking a deep breath.

" So how are we even going to get to Hydra, we don't have any money or a car?" Jax asks, making me realize I never told him that aspect of my plan.

" We don't need to get to Hydra, just attract them." I answer.

Jax  gives me a questioning look but before he can argue I take his arm and press something into his wrist, making him hiss in pain.

" What the hell was that?!" Jax asked, looking at his unscathed arm then up at me.

" Your new suit" I say smiling.

"Why is it in my arm then?" he asks again, still clearly confused.

"Basically you say the command and your suit comes from there." I tell him, flipping his wrist over and showing him the small device now attached to his skin.

" So I'm like Iron Man now?" Jax says smiling like a a little boy

I scoff and roll my eyes at how childish he can be.

I grab the other suit device and press it into my wrist as well.

"Ready to kick some hydra ass?" I ask, smirking.

***

"Hydra is in an abandoned warehouse, funds must really be low?" Jax scoffs, looking around.

" No, but if what Aulluver said was true, about Hydra needing me, he knows where I am." I answer.

Jax gives me a concerning look, I guess the idea of handing ourselves over to Hydra wasn't thrilling to him.

"So now what, we just wait for them to come get us?" he asks.

" Basically." I reply, finding an empty crate and sitting on it.

Luckily it didn't take more than twenty minuets for Aulluver and his Hydra buddies to find us, I assumed after the surprise visit on my birthday he would be tracking me, waiting for a moment I was alone without the protection of an Avenger to get ahold of me.

" Well, well well, handing yourself in or walk down memory lane?" Aulluver say, making both me and Jax spin around.

" Came to my senses." I say, using all the fake confidence to mask how terrified I actually was.

" The Avengers didn't want you, did they? Saw what you had become?" Aulluver said with a fake pout.

The comment stings, but I know it's not true. So I bite my tongue and agree .

"And you brought a friend..." Aulluver says noticing Jax beside me.

"Yeah, thought you'd enjoy a new recruit." I say, nudging Jax to look convincing.

" We always have room at casa Hydra." Aulluver says with a smirk.

Then two of Aulluver's hench men handcuff both Jax and I's hands, throw bags over our heads, and lead us into what feels like some sorta of vehicle.
