*Tony's Pov*
"Tony?"

"Tonyyyyyyy?!"

"TONY!"

" TONY WAKE THE FUCK UP!"

"What, what? I'm awake what do you want?" I moan as I adjust to the bright florescent kitchen lights

"Good morning sunshine" Clint scoffs in the backround

" Shut it Barton" Natasha snaps

" Tony you passed out last night!" Steve informed

" Yeah so?" I question, confused about what the problem was.

"YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO BE AT HYDRA BY NOW TONY, SAVING YOUR DAUGHTER!" Pepper yelled hitting my arm.

"Shit" I mumbled

I sat there not saying anything, thinking about what we should do next.

"Well lets just go now then" I said nonchalantly

" There's multiple problems with that" Steve points out

" First; your still shitfaced, second; we can't scope out Hydra in broad day light we would get caught, and third; your not packed and ready to go." Natasha states.

" Oh yeah..." I get up from my spot at the kitchen counter and go into the living room, lying down infront of the TV.

" We'll leave tonight, once we get him sober" Clint suggests

"Oh and someone get Banner up here to put an IV in him" Steve says.

I spent most of the rest of the day lounging on the couch attempting to get as sober as possible for the evening. People would come by and check on me through out the day, mostly making sure I wasn't drinking anymore. By five o'clock I was sober enough to pack a small bag for our little trip to Hydra and prep my suit for our battle the next day.

" It's almost seven o'clock Tony, you ready to go?" Pepper reminded me

" As ready as ever" I smirk

" Then I'll get the rest of the team" Pepper said

There was an awkward silence between Pepper and I, we really hadn't had a conversation since we decided to take a break and ever since then we had just avoided each other and only talk when necessary for Stark Industries.

" Do you know how long you will be gone?" Pepper asked, breaking the silence

"Three days at the most" I reply

" It's gonna be quiet without you" she said with a sad smile

I'm not sure what compelled me but I grabbed Pepper's hips and pulled her in for a kiss.

"Tony, we shouldn't- were not-" She said pulling away

There was a moment of intense eye contact, then Pepper leaned in and kissed me. Just before we got into a steamy make out session the team walked in.

" Were on a break, were just friends" Steve mocked, trying to imitate my voice

" Okay love birds we have to get going" Natasha reminded

I kissed Pepper one more time and turned to go to the elevator to go to the helipad. We all piled into the elevator, waving goodbye to Pepper as the elevator doors close.

When we got to the helipad we filed onto the helicopter and got situated.

" So you and Pepper are back on again?" Steve asked, smirking

" Shut up" I say and jokingly punched his arm

" Get use to it Stark were gonna be on this plane for 8 hours together" Steve says

" just my luck" I say sarcastically and roll my eyes.
