There is a saying, 'Eyes are the windows to the soul.' It means, mostly, people can see through someone else by eye contact in seven seconds. I have a habit that if I meet someone I don't know, I'd like to look at her or his eyes on purpose. When my eyes lay on them, I can immediately see their true color. -Peng Liyuan

Zee Banks...

I enter Starbucks, standing in line behind a gentlemen. He's next in line, and I'm kind of in a hurry to just get me a Frappé so I can meet my woes at the mall. I draw attention to myself, smacking my lips as I look through my purse for my wallet. It's right on top by the way.

"Oh come on." I whine, pretending to look through my things.

"You ok?" He questions. I avert my attention to him, putting my frames on my forehead. He's about, 6'3" to my 5'2" frame. Not bad looking but I'm just trying to get up to the counter.

"Yea, I'm just trying to find my wallet because I'm kind of in a hurry. I just wanna have my stuff ready when I need to pay."

"Well you can go ahead. I'm still undecided of what I want." He chuckles, I laugh leaning my weight to my right hip.

"Really?"

"Yea go ahead." I giggle and thank him going right up to the counter. I could feel his eyes dancing upon my body doe. Taj the clerk hands me my usual. I come here often and when ever I come in, he already has my stuff ready for me. A carmel frap with a scone.

"Thank you Taj." I hand him the exact amount, grabbing my things.

"You're welcome. Did you think about the answer to the question I asked?" He smirks. I laugh and nod walking to the door.

"So what's the answer Zee!" He calls after me. I shake my head laughing, putting my shades back on my face.

"Neveruary." I mumble, leaving out. Taj asked to take me out on a date a month ago, and me being the person that I am I told him I'd think about it. Ever since then he kept bugging me about it. My answer was always no but today I thought I switch up.

I get in my car, sitting my stuff down as my phone rings. It's a call from Bricks, so I answer it.

"Where you at?" I roll my eyes, pulling off.

"I'm on my way to the mall Bricks. What do you want?" I mumble, turning onto the drive.

"My lunch break is in like 30." I sigh clenching my thighs tight while biting my bottom lip. No matter how much I try to fight it, I always get the urge but Ima fight it today. I need some space from Bricks right now.

"I'm not coming to your job yo." I tell him.

"Well can you come over tonight. I just wanna spend some time witchu."

"Bricks I-."

"Or I'll come to your place, I just wanna watch a movie and chill like old times. No sex." I sigh in frustration knowing damn well I'm about to give in. I don't know why I can't say no to this man.

"Fine. Come by around eight." I hang up the phone just to be petty like his rude ass is to me. Now he said just a movie and chill like old times so that's what we're gonna do. Nothing more. And if he tries to pull some slick shit, I'm kicking his ass out. No I'm not.

"Ard bitch you done?! We been waiting for the next outfit for like an hour." My friend Ryan over dramatically groans. I roll my eyes, checking the fit out in the mirror.

"Ryan shut the fuck up, she ain't been in there but five minutes." Piper defends for me. I step out tucking my hair behind my ear looking down.

"The shit is fly as fuck." Lia smiles.

"Yes the ass just popping." I do a little dance as they all hit my ass chanting 'aye'. I laugh shaking my head.

"So it's a yes?" I question.

"Yes bitch now come on we been here all day. It's going on five and my plug bout to leave." Ryan whines. I frown, twisting my lip up.

Bitch always trying to smoke. I blame her ex though, nigga put her onto weed because he's a drug dealer, who is now her plug. She smoked once and she's been smoking ever since.

"Damn bitch you stay smoking don't you know that shit ain't cute?" Lia frowns.

"Who said I was trying to be the fuck cute?! I smoke to get high and to get high only." Ryan sasses with the roll of her neck. I forgot to mention Ryan and Lia are twin sisters.

"Word." Piper agrees, munching on some hot Cheetos. I laugh shaking my head while re-entering the dressing room.

"Got damn Lia. Come onnnnn, relaaaaax, suck a diiiiick, smoke a blunt, have some fun." Ryan stresses in her Cardi B voice.

"I knew I should of drove here myself." Lia mumbles. I shake my head, putting my street clothes back on. Lia is a homebody type of friend, she hates going out, always complains and wants to preach at the worst times.

I'm the chilling one with Piper, we're very observing. She's the calm smoker and drinker while I'm the calm drinker. And then theres Ryan, she's the wild, funny one and the 'I'll whoop a bitches ass' type of friend. That I don't give a fuck, where, when, why and who ya momma is type of attitude. She'll fight anybody.

After paying for our stuff, we leave out. It's now 5 in the afternoon, and I got some hours before I have to be back at my apartment. I wish time will go slower.

"So what's next bitches?" I question, putting my glasses on my face.

"Got damn." Ryan announces to our attention. I swear everything went in slow motion like a movie. It's a group of guys walking opposite of us. And may I say they all gorgeous, but it was one that caught my eye. I think I caught his as well because our eyes locked in unison.

He's caramel skin, bout 6'1" 6'2", brown eyes with curly hair that I just wanna run my fingers through. And those pink full lips, my God. He flashes a perfect bright smile, averting his attention away from me. Straight curved my ass.

"Aye, come here!" Ryan calls, waving them over. They laugh as one of them nods with his arms up smiling.

"You come here!" He chuckles, licking his lips.

"I think I told you to come over here first. Let me get them digits!" Piper and I both laugh shaking our heads at Ryan. Bitch is a trip. They begin to walk over to us, talking amongst themselves in amusement. I know they all calling dibs on who they want to smash most likely. All men do it.

"Why would you call them over here!" Lia yell whispers, shyly. Ryan snatches her head in her direction, screw face.

"You 21 acting like a 15 year old girl. Grow the fuck up!" Ryan tells her. Lia smacks her lips wallking off as the guys approached us. Piper and Ryan begin talking as I sit back waiting patiently.

"Oh so what your friend dosen't speak?" One of the guys comments. I smirk, locking my phone while putting it in my pocket.

"No I'm actually mute and I think your friend is as well." I point to the guy that caught my eye minutes ago. He chuckles causally licking his lips as his dimples appear. Damn he's fine as hell. Like you ever look at a fine man and wonder what the sex is like? Maybe it's just me.

"No. I can speak just fine miss." He smiles. Oh my God he's just so fucking scrumptious. All I need is one night forreal. I smile back.

"Oh. He got manners!" Ryan says in her 'He Got Money' imitation. making us all laugh. I swear Ryan has no life. The guy humbly nods, looking at me. The way he was studying me was different from the way other guys look at me.

It was like he was trying to figure me out and I don't know how to feel about that. It was as if he was the artist and I was his work of unexplained art. Ryan and Piper exchange numbers with the guys they wanted as I wait patiently. That's when my phone rings.

"Ok so Ja'ere (Ja-Ear), Inez, Kris and......" Piper snaps her fingers.

"Tay." He says looking at me once more.

"Aight, Ryan, Piper, Lia scary ass." We all laugh "and..." Ja'ere points to me.

"Zee." I smile looking at Tay.

"Is that a nickname?" Inez snickers. I shake my head no laughing.

"No." I simply say, ignoring my vibrating phone. I myself don't even know why my parents named me Zee. I asked them plenty for times why my name was different from other kids, the answer was always ask so and so I'm busy.

They all nod as we depart saying bye. I take my phone out my purse seeing Bricks has canceled dinner and that something came up.

I'm happy as hell because I get to relax and just chill to myself. I know if Bricks would of came over, we would be right where I don't want to be. So I'm glad things didn't go as planned. That was a bullet greatly dodged.
