When Y/N was a kid, she used to go up to her balcony all the time. She'd watch couples holding hands, people walking their dogs, and families bringing their kids for walks. It kept her entertained and often times Y/N felt like it made her own hardships become visible in a new light.

Y/N's father leaving was one of the worst times in not only her life, but her mothers too. And so she would come up to the balcony and picture her parents strolling down the street with Y/N planted between them, holding their hands.

She imagined this scenario for a while. But eventually it just slowly became boring, because Y/N knew that it would never happen again.

The sun beamed down on Y/N's face as she sat in her little lawn chair on her balcony. She needed to think. And her mother was out shopping so it was the perfect time.

She didn't glance around at the view too much, she was content with watching the clouds move in the sky.

She crossed her legs and breathed in the fresh air. Her mind was about to circle back to the events of today with Adrien, but she refused to think about it.

She squeezed her eyes tightly and shook her head. She didn't want to think about that. Her face felt hot just at the idea of rehashing how close she was to Adrien.

Y/N wondered why she kept ending up in situations like that with him. First it was the project they had to work on together, and then it was his party.

"Why do things have to be so confusing." Y/N mumbled to herself.

"Why do what things have to be confusing?"

Y/N let out a yelp and jumped up off her chair, pressing her back against the railing of her balcony. Her eyes were wide and she looked as if she had seen a ghost. "What the fuck!-"

Chat noir was leaning against the opposite side of the balcony. His elbows were resting on the railing and he had a smirk on his face. "Hey." He greeted nonchalantly.

"You weren't kidding when you told me you made it a hobby to invite yourself onto peoples balcony's."

"See, you should always trust me."

Y/N's body relaxed and she raised an eyebrow, "I don't think I should trust someone who dresses like a cat."

"You're right, you shouldn't." Chat paused and used his elbows to push himself up. He leaned forward, close to Y/N's face with a smirk on his own, "But trust me."

Y/N felt her face heating up and she looked the other way. Chat took notice of her flustered state and couldn't help but think she was quite cute.

"So, where are we going?" Chat turned away from Y/N and looked off her balcony. He glanced from the ground and back to the confused girl behind him.

"Nowhere?" Y/N questioned, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Okay I'll choose." Chat pretended to be deep in thought for a few moments before grabbing Y/N's wrist gently. He tugged her towards the front of the balcony, "let's go get ice cream!"

Y/N wiggled her arm away from Chat's grasp, "Chat! I'm not going to get ice cream with you!"

Chat noir frowned, "why not? It's the perfect day for ice cream!"

Y/N tried to come up with a good excuse as to why she couldn't go. She didn't want to refuse his offer, she actually wanted to go with him.

But she was too confused. Her mind kept flipping from him to Adrien. She felt something for both of them but was too afraid to let her feelings develop any further.

Plus, Chat noir was a mystery to Y/N. She didn't know his true identity, nor did she know his true intentions.

"Just- let me go get changed."

Chat noir nodded his head and Y/N flipped open the hatch to go down to her room.

She tried to look for something to wear as quickly as possible, but it was difficult to pick something. She tried to pick something that Chat noir would like but then pushed that thought away.

It was hot outside so she decided on Jean shorts with a white tank top. It was basic, but it wasn't like she needed to dress up to get ice cream.

Y/N grabbed her thin black purse and swung it over shoulder. She ascended the ladder and locked eyes with Chat noir. His eyes scanned her body briefly before he glanced away and cleared his throat, "are you ready?"

Chat noir had his staff out and he was about to climb up onto the railing when Y/N stopped him. "What do you think your doing?"

Chat looked confused, "going to get ice cream?"

"So you plan on jumping off my balcony to do so?"

Chat noir laughed and looked from his metal staff to Y/N, "oh I don't plan on jumping alone."

Chat extended his gloved hand out to Y/N and she stepped back, "yeah.. that's not happening."

Chat noir just smirked, "come on princess we will get there faster."

"I value my life." Y/N shook her head and crossed her arms over her chest.

"I value your life too, so just make sure you hold on tight." He winked and walked over to Y/N. He stood straight, his tall frame towering over her. "Well, go on." He ducked down a bit and waited for Y/N to hold onto him.

She hesitated a moment before putting a hand on his shoulder, "it would be easier to walk." She whispered. "Yeah but where's the fun in that?"

She laughed at his words and wrapped her arms around his neck. The thick material of his suit rubbed against her forearms. Chat lifted her legs and she wrapped them around him.

Her face grew hotter and hotter, and although she couldn't see his, Chat noir was blushing too.

Y/N gripped onto him for dear life, "are you ready?"

"Please don't drop me." Y/N whispered with a nervous laugh. Chat noir's chest vibrated against her own as he chuckled.

Y/N shut her eyes tightly as Chat launched them off the balcony. He jumped from one place to the next and Y/N just held him tighter.

He wasn't lying when he said they would get there quicker, because in a matter of a minute Y/N's feet were back on the ground.

She let out a shaky breath and glared at Chat noir, "never. Again."

"Aw come on princess, admit it, it was fun."

"In your dreams." Y/N felt her face flush from the nickname.

Chat smiled and started walking towards Andre's ice cream stand. Y/N followed closely behind and glanced around at the other people on the street. She spotted a few girls across from them, they had their hands covering their mouths and were staring at Chat noir.

"You're pretty popular." Y/N adjusted her gaze back on Chat's back. "I haven't noticed." Y/N could her the sarcasm in his voice and she playfully pushed his back. He laughed and stopped to walk beside her.

"What's your favourite ice cream flavour?" He asked the girl beside him. "Mint chocolate chip."

Chat made a twisted face and shook his head, "oh you're weird."

Y/N stopped walking and put her hands on her hips, "Oh yeah? What's yours?"

"Mango pineapple."

Y/N snorted, "now that's weird."

Chat put a gloved hand across his chest and pretended to be offended, "it is not!"

"Oh it definitely is. I could understand mango, but pineapple too?"

"Don't hate it until you've tried it." Chat retorted as he pursed his lips.

Y/N smiled and rolled her eyes as they began walking again.

"Chat noir! And- who is this?" Andre said, a bright smile on his face as he looked between the pair.

Chat waved, "Andre, this is Y/N."

Andre gasped, "what a beautiful name!"

He took out his scooper and began scooping ice cream onto two cones. Y/N was a little confused because she didn't even tell him her order.

As if sensing her confused expression, Chat informed her, "this is his thing."

The girl nodded her head and continued to watch Andre. He looked so happy scooping ice cream.

"Mango pineapple for the lady, and mint chocolate chip for the Chat." Y/N snorted at the last part, and glanced at Chat who gave her a 'don't you dare say anything look.'

As Y/N took her ice cream into her hands, she realized that they never ordered, so how would Andre know to give them each other's favourite flavours?

"Here." Chat held out ten euros to Andre.

"Oh I could never accept this from someone who is so heroic!"

Chat sweat dropped, "I could never accept this for free, but thank you." he said, handing the money to Andre who hesitantly accepted it.

"Thank you." Both Y/N and Chat noir said as they began walking away.

Y/N tasted the cool ice cream and immediately wanted to taste more. It was delicious.

Chat noir glanced over at her with a smirk, "I told you it was good."
