The morning after Bakugo received his license, a reporter had arrived at the U.A. dorms to interview him and Todoroki about their masterful take-down of the villain.
"Pro-level work just minutes after getting their provisional licenses." she stated, pausing the news report she had been playing for them on her laptop. "I have some questions for the students who defeated the villains. They are from Class -A of U.A. High, Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo."
Bakugo looked away, annoyed. He had been woken up extra early when the reporter arrived, asking to speak with the students. He had been asleep with Shiori when Eraser Head knocked on the door, and to say that it was an unwelcome interruption would have been a massive understatement.
"Do you two have fun training together?" the reporter asked, made nervous by Katsuki's attitude.
"Does it look that way to you?" Bakugo asked. "You should get your eyes and brain checked."
"We're friends." Todoroki said.
"Huh?!" Bakugo turned to the boy sitting beside him on the couch. "Don't spout out that crap! Since when have we been friends?!"
"We were always together while taking lessons for the provisional license test."
"Your logic makes no sense! Spending time together doesn't mean we're friends!"
"What do you mean by my logic?"
"How should I know?" Bakugo yelled. "You should get your brain checked as well!"
Shiori, Midoriya, Uraraka and Iida watched dumbfounded from the other side of the room, as the poor reporter sweated through her clothes.
"I don't know why we expected anything else." Shiori muttered, while Izuku chuckled awkwardly in agreement.
----
After classes were done for the day, Shiori decided to head to her room for a bit of quiet before dinner.
She was taking in the breeze when she heard steps in the hallway, followed by a knock on her room door.
"Come in!" she said, smiling. She already knew who it was.
"Yo, what the hell is taking you so damn long." asked Bakugo, walking in.
"What do you mean? I'm done." said Shiori. "Just hanging out here till dinner."
"Why didn't you tell me, Stitch?"
"Um, I don't know, just didn't think you'd care about knowing?"
The boy clicked his tongue and walked out into the balcony to stand beside her.
"What the hell are you doing?" he asked.
"Enjoying the breeze, Katsuki. You know, simple pleasures of life." she shrugged. "Don't even bother telling me it's stupid, I don't care what you think."
"Why the fuck would I say that, moron? If you like it you like it, dammit. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks."
Shiori smiled. That's how she felt about him.
She looked at Bakugo's soft expression, looking out at the city scape before them.
He was beautiful. Especially when his complexion wasn't contorted with rage.
When the boy noticed her staring, he looked at her from the corner of his eyes.
"What the hell are you looking at?" he asked.
"You." Shiori replied, simply.
Katsuki then growled angrily, looking away to hide the fact that he was blushing. "Why do you have to pull some weird shit like that? Stop annoying me and let's go eat."
She chuckled and turned away from the view. "Alright, let's go."
-----
The semester was almost at an end, and the end of December brought with it seasonal festivities.
Shiori was sitting at her desk in the 1-A classroom while she heard Kaminari and Mineta laughing over the interview with Todoroki and Bakugo, which had been aired in the local news.
"Don't you feel any fear?" the reporter's voice sounded from Kaminari's phone.
"No, I felt no fear. I just did what I usually do in training." Todoroki replied.
"The interview lasted for one hour!" Kaminari was laughing so hard he was struggling to get his words out. "But Bakugo's part was completely cut out! There was only a glimpse of his head!"
He flipped the phone to Shiori, who couldn't help the giggle that left her lips. Beside her, Bakugo was grinding his teeth so hard she could have sworn she saw tooth dust coming out his mouth.
"The provisional license holders are young, but we can surely count on them. I hope they can start their career as pro heroes as soon as possible. We wouldn't want another disaster
Shiori frowned. The past few months had been riddled with attacks throughout the country, as if the villains had been growing in numbers and boldness like a plague.
The classroom door then opened and Mt. Lady and Midnight walked into the classroom together, waving their hands enthusiastically.
"Hello class 1-A!" they spoked in union.
Aizawa walked in behind them, wearing his yellow sleeping bag. "I invited them to give you a special lesson today. After all, you students are getting more exposure on the media."
"I'm not getting any exposure!" Bakugo growled, complaining.
"Work harder next time!" Kirishima gave the boy an encouraging thumbs up, which only seemed to make him angrier.
"Today's lesson is about the media!" Mt. Lady explained. "As the beauty who is in the spotlight, I, Mt. Lady, will show you the proper behaviour of a hero in front of the media."
The class headed outside to find a stage had been set up for training. Mt. Lady made her way up with a microphone.
"Let's start with some interview practice." she said. "Katsuki, why don't you hop on over and get us started?"
Bakugo clicked his tongue and marched over to the stage.
"I'm not going to say any random crap." he said to the microphone. "Shut up and follow me!"
"Hum, you sound a bit better when you get a solo interview." she pondered. "I think your issue is that you don't get along with human beings."
"Sorry, Bakugo." Todoroki chimed in. "They cut out your interview because I was there."
"Don't be so full of yourself!" Bakugo growled. "A lousy jerk like you isn't enough to make me look bad!"
"I see." Todoroki nodded.
"I think your best strategy would be to learn from Aizawa-sensei about how to avoid the media." Shiori suggested, making Uraraka chuckle.
All the students got to go up on stage and practice interviews one-by-one. It was clear to see that Mt. Lady get more and more stressed as the class went, but at least for Shiori, it was very entertaining.
"What's your number one goal as a hero?" Mt. Lady asked Aoyama.
"To sparkle!" the boy swung his cape around dramatically.
Mt. Lady sighed and slouched her shoulders. "Okay, I think we're done for today."

That afternoon, Shiori walked to the store to get snacks for her dorm room.
While she walked through the isles, picking out food, Bakugo followed her grumpily.
"This date is boring." he complained.
"This isn't a date." Shiori said, turning around to look at him. "I said I was going to the store."
"Then why the hell did you invite me?"
"I specifically said 'don't come with me' and you said 'fuck you, Stitch, I do whatever I want' and followed me here."
Bakugo clicked his tongue and crossed his arms.
"Don't worry, I'm almost done." Shiori said, grabbing a bag of chips. "After this we can do whatever you want."
The malicious grin on the boy's face made her want to take her statement back.
"Within reason, Katsuki." she glared, making him frown.
——
When the students returned to the dorms that night, they were summoned by the class rep to plan out their joined Christmas party.
"Everyone, before we go home for the weekend to celebrate with our families, I think we should throw a class Christmas Party." Iida announced. "I have decided to divide the roles so we can ensure the most efficient event possible."
"Sure, when I think party I definitely think the number one goal is efficiency." Kaminari smiled sarcastically.
Iida ignored the comment and began to assign roles. "Jirou, Uraraka and Koda can help Sato cook the dinner."
The two girls smiled and wrapped their arms around Koda.
"Tsu, Todoroki and Kirishima can take care of beverages."
Kirishima offered a thumbs up, while Todoroki nodded simply.
"Himura, Yaoyorozu, Shoji - you guys can help with decorating. I figured with your Quirks it would be best."
Shiori, Momo and Shoji shared a group high five.
"Sero, Ashido and Midoriya will be in charge of preparing the gifts for the Secret Santa game."
Everyone had agreed to join a class gift exchange game, and the gifts had already been wrapped and put under the tree.
"Everyone else can just-- just try not get in the way." Iida concluded.
-----
They got started with decorating early in the morning the next day, while Sato and his group worked in the kitchen.
Shiori was running around hanging garlands around the common room, when she head a tumbling noise coming from the stairway.
"What was that?" Shiori asked, peaking her head over.
"My shirt fell down the stairs." Kaminari was wiping himself off. His hair was spiky and dishevelled.
"That sounded larger than a shirt." she questioned.
"I was in it." he admitted.
Shiori chuckled. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, but I'm bored!" he complained. "Can you give me something to do?"
"Hum..." Shiori looked around. "Why don't you hang these string lights outside?" she handed him the light cable.
"Okay, I can do that!" he took it from her and headed outside.
When Shiori was about to get back to her task, Bakugo came down the stairs as well.
"Oi, Stitch." he called out to her.
"Hum?" she hummed while she went up the stairs to hang another garland on the wall.
"Let's go train."
She turned her head to look at him. "Can't you see I'm busy?"
"Then finish quicker." he gritted his teeth, annoyed.
"Can you go outside and help Kaminari with the lights? I will be done soon." she said, trying to get rid of him.
He scoffed. "Like I would do that."
"If you can help him finish we'll all be done quicker."
"No."
"Please." Shiori insisted.
Bakugo looked away to avoid her eyes. Growling, he ultimately gave in. "Fine. But I'm only fucking doing this so this stupid party can be done sooner."
"Sure." Shiori smiled and got back to work.
——-
It didn't take long until Shiori was done so she headed to the kitchen to get the plates and cutlery ready.
Uraraka was standing by the open kitchen window, her eyes wide at whatever it was she was seeing.
Shiori heard the sound of explosions and a high-pitched scream, and the stress headache already felt like it was forming.
"Bakugo's fighting Kaminari outside, don't you think you should do something?" Uraraka asked, pointing.
Shiori turned her head to look at the scene. Bakugo was chasing Kaminari around and nearly setting the trees and bushes on fire.
"You're right, I should." she stepped towards the window and closed it, blocking the noise. She then smiled at Uraraka and walked away.
-----
The time to start the festivities was approaching, and everyone went up to their room to switch into Christmas Elf clothing. Half of the class was dressed in green and the other half in red - Iida was wearing a Santa outfit, and Shiori was impressed by the realism of his beard.
"That looks so... fluffy." she said, touching the white beard around his neck.
"Yeah... I see something fluffy too." Mineta was staring at Yaoyorozu's butt and drooling, which earned him a kick in the leg from Jirou.
"Wait, where's your outfit, Bakugo?" Ashido asked.
The boy was standing in a corner, not wanting to participate. "I'm not fucking wearing that stupid crap."
"You have to! It's more fun that way!" Ashido stomped her feet.
Kaminari shook his head. "If you want him to wear it you should ask Shiori. She's the only one who has a chance of convincing him."
Mina looked at him and frowned. "Why? I'm sure I could convince him too."
Kaminari raised his eyebrow at the girl. "Alright, good luck then." he scoffed.
All the 1-A students gathered around the couches, sharing drinks and appetizers while they waiting for the main course to be ready.
"You know the school wants us on internship again after the break." Uraraka commented. "We must be the busiest first-year students in the history of U.A. High!"
"Are you returning to Ryukyu's agency?" Shiori asked.
"Yes. What about you, Himura? Are you working with your father again?"
"Yeah, I am!" Shiori nodded.
"Midoriya, do you have any plans?" Iida asked.
"I don't know where I should go yet." Midoriya shrugged. "But I assume the school will contact agencies for us."
"I see..." Iida pondered.
"Why are you sneaking around me?!" Bakugo's yell made them turn their heads to look over at where he was.
Ashido had been trying to get him in Christmas elves' clothing like the rest of them, but failing miserably.
"I told you, you should have just asked Shiori to put it on him." Kaminari shook his head at Mina. "It's the only way it would have worked."
Ashido frowned, annoyed.
"Bakugo, will you go to Best Jeanist?" Kirishima asked.
"What?" Bakugo seemed to remember then how Best Jeanist had been injured during his rescue mission, and had been found missing since then. His face went grim. "I haven't decided yet."
"But plenty of agencies are asking for you because of the sports day!" Kirishima smiled. "You can go wherever you want."
"I don't want to learn from some second-rated heroes after all this time." Katsuki scoffed, walking away.
Once again, Mina crept up behind him with an the Christmas sweater.
"I'm not wearing that!" he yelled, shooing her away.
"Come on, put it on!" she complained. "Give in to the peer pressure."
"It's a Holy Night!" Mineta hit the table, frustrated. "How long are you going to talk about school stuff?"
"Mineta has a point." Sato said, as he walked into the sitting area from the kitchen, holding a delicious-looking turkey. "Let's enjoy the feast!"
Everyone began to serve themselves, while Shiori got up and walked over to where Bakugo was grumpily standing.
"Aren't you hungry?" she asked him.
"Not for this stupid festive food." he scoffed.
"It's really freaking good. You're missing out." Shiori poked him in the arm, and he shot her a death glare.
"What would you rather do? Eat with us and have fun or sit around and complain?" she asked.
"Sit around and complain!" Bakugo frowned.
Shiori rolled her eyes and walked over to the dining table. She grabbed a turkey leg and walked it back to where Bakugo was sitting. Without saying a word, she shoved it into his mouth.
He let out a grunt that sounded a little like a muffled "you fucking moron I'll kill you" but eventually he began to chew.
"See? Isn't it good?" she smiled.
While he angrily enjoyed his turkey leg, Shiori placed an elf hat on Katsuki's head and an a santa coat over his shoulder and called it a day.
"I need to pack tonight before I go home to see my parents tomorrow." Kaminari said, taking a sip from his glass of punch. "My mom said I need to bring something nice to wear. What does that even mean? She needs to be more specific!" he turned to Tokoyami, who was sitting beside him. "Do you know what kind of clothes would count as 'nice'?"
"I don't know the first thing about clothes." Tokoyami said. "Pretty much all I can do is look at something and tell you if it's clothes or not. This chair? Not clothes."
"The only clothes I care about are the clothes that make girls' butts look good." Mineta added.
The girls sitting around the table glared at Mineta, and then Shiori noticed Sero's tape stick to the back of his the boy's and pull him away.
"If he likes looking at butts so much, why doesn't he look in the mirror?" Kirishima smirked, felling proud of himself.
"Thank god you finally said that." Shiori exhaled. "I saw you write that on your napkin two hours ago."
"Hey, Jirou, may I interest you in a quickie?" Aoyama asked, leaning over to the girl.
"W-What!?" she was blushing and her eyes were wide with shock.
"You know, one of those egg thingys?" he pointed to the plate in front of him.
"OH. It's pronounced quiche, you idiot!"
Shiori almost spit out her drink, overhearing.
"Can we start the gift exchange now?" Ashido asked, excited.
"Okay, let's do it." Iida nodded.
The Secret Santa had set up a creative method for the gift game. They had taped a piece of Sero's tape to the bottom of each of the gifts, and stacked them all into a big pile. The tape was extended out in strips around the pile, and each of the students were supposed to grab one and pull at the same time. That way, each person would end up with a random gift.
Bakugo was trying to refuse to participate, but Shiori quickly taped one of the strips to the bottom of his foot, so that when he walked away he would pull a gift.
"Everyone ready?" Yaoyorozu shouted. "Three...Two...One!"
Gifts went flying everywhere on three.
Shiori's box was white with bright yellow stripes. She unwrapped it carefully to find a poncho with a beautiful pattern across it. Smiling, she looked over at Sero: "This was from you, wasn't it?"
"Yeah!" he smiled back enthusiastically. "Do you like it?"
"I love it!" she swung it over her head and put the poncho on, admiring herself.
"Shiori, I think I got yours!" Kirishima was holding up a dagger, sharp and shiny. "It's awesome!"
Standing beside Kirishima, Bakugo looked furious as he held a pair of glasses. "Trade with me!" he yelled.
"No way!" Kirishima clung to the dagger protectively.
Shiori stood up to throw her food scarps in the trash can. When she lifted up the lid, she saw a lump of tape moving around, stuck to the side of the inner part of the trashcan.
"What the hell?" she leaned in closer to look at it.
"That's just Mineta." Sero walked over to explain.
"How did this happen?" Shiori spoke over the noise of Mineta's grunts of frustration.
"How does anything happen? Let's move past it." Sero shrugged, closing the lid back down and walking away.
-----
When the feasting was over, the students were banding together to clean up the dishes, take down the decorations and recycle all the wrapping paper.
Bakugo walked by Shiori to say he was going up to his room to sleep.
But before leaving, he grabbed Shiori's waist and pulled her in for a kiss. What he seemed to completely ignore, however, was the fact that the entire class was in the room and none of them knew they were together.
After kissing her, he walked up to his room as if nothing had happened, and Shiori was left standing with her face bright red as her friends stared at her dumbfounded.
"What the actual fuck." said Kaminari, dropping his glass.
"Did you guys just..." wondered Sero.
Kirishima and Uraraka had huge cheeky smiles on their faces,
