The next morning, class 1-A was sitting on their desks waiting for their next period.

Shiori was napping on her desk, when someone opened the door so loudly that she almost fell off her chair.

"I AM COMING THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" announced a big, muscly man with blond hair and a smile too wide to be healthy.

"It's All Might!" said Kaminari, excitedly.

"Wow, he really is a teacher!" added Kirishima.

All Might made his way to the front of the class, where he stood with his trade-mark heroic pose.

"I teach Hero Basic Training. It is a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero. You'll get the most units of this subject!" his voice thundered through the walls as he spoke "Let's get right into it! This is what we'll do today--Combat Training!"

Shiori looked over at Katsuki, and she saw the word 'combat' light a fire in his eyes.

"And to go with that, are these!"

All Might pointed to the right-most wall of the class, where shelves filled with containers began emerging.

"Costumes made based on your Quirk registrations and requests you sent in before school started. After you change, gather in Ground Beta!"

"Yes, sir!" replied the class.

---

After a few minutes, class 1-A made their way to training ground Beta wearing their new hero costumes.

Shiori's costume was modelled after her father's, and it was mostly black to allow her to blend into the shadows. She requested the same material of her mother's costume, which was friction resistant, allowing her to move in super-human speed without destroying the fabric.

She also kept her arms bare, since she usually stored her sai in the skin of her forearms.

"They say the clothes make the man, young men and ladies. Be fully aware, from now on, you are heroes!" said All Might, as the students arrived on the training grounds. "Now, shall we begin, you zygotes? For this class, you'll be split into villains and heroes and fight 2-on-2 indoor battles."

"Without basic training?" asked Asui.

"This is a real battle to understand those basics! However, the key this time is that there's no robots you can just beat up."

"How will wins and losses be determined?" asked Yaoyorozu.

"Can we beat them up anyway?" asked Bakugo.

"Will the punishment be expulsion like with Mr. Aizawa?" added Ochaco.

"How shall we be split up?" asked Iida.

"Isn't this cape crazy?" said Aoyama, waving his glittery cape around.

All Might looked like he was going to explode.

"I'll answer all your questions! Now listen: the situation is that the villains have hidden a nuclear weapon somewhere inside their hideout. The heroes are trying to dispose of that. The heroes need to catch the villains or get the nuclear weapon back in the allotted time. The villains need to protect the nuclear weapon the whole time or catch the heroes. Teams and opponents will be determined by drawing lots!"

He then pulled out a box, where slits of paper with the student's names were stored.

"The first villains to fight will be..." All might reached into the box "... Katsuki Bakugo and Tenya Iida!"

Bakugou shot Iida his classic 'I will blow your head off' look, which was an indication of his team-work skills.

"The first heroes will be... Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka! Everyone else, head toward the monitor room."

The students began to move, when Shiori looked over to see that Bakugo was standing still.

He then clicked his tongue and crossed his arms angrily.

"What's wrong?"

"Can't believe I'm paired with that stupid four-eyes."

"What's the problem with Iida?"

"He's my enemy."

"Katsuki, that's the 23rd enemy you've had this week."

Bakugo looked at her angrily. "...make that 24."

"Stop being so dramatic. Go, its your turn first. Remember, Katsuki: Patience yields focus."

---

"Villain team, go in first and set up!" said All Might. "In five minutes, the hero team will break in, and the battle will start!"

Shiori stood in the monitor room, as she watched Bakugo and Iida enter the building.

She didn't want to admit it to herself, but when Izuku and Katsuki's names got called her heart sank.

She was scared of what Bakugo would do against Midoriya in combat, and she didn't want to find out.

Shiori heard steps headed towards her, and she didn't need to look to know it was Eijiro Kirishima and Denki Kaminari.

"Hey!" greeted Kirishima.

"Sup." added Kaminari.

"Hey guys." said Shiori, without moving her eyes from the screen.

"Who do you think will win?" asked Kaminari.

"Definitely Bakugo. He's so manly!" replied Kirishima.

"I don't know man, that Midoriya kid can pack a strong punch. What do you think, Himura?"

"I'm not sure." she said dismissively, while keeping her eyes glued on the screen.

The two boys then looked at each other and shrugged.

"Now, let's start the indoor person-to-person combat training with the first two teams!" said All Might, who then turned towards the students in the monitor room. "You all should think as well. This is a good learning opportunity."

Shiori observed as Izuku and Ochaco entered the building through a window and made their way up the floors.

Suddenly, Bakugo ambushed the two, causing an explosion that they barely managed to evade.

"A surprise attack from the start?" said Kaminari.

"Bakugo, that's cheating!" said Kirishima. "A surprise attack is not manly at all!"

"A surprise attack is a strategy, too." said All Might, as he made notes into his grading book. "They're in the middle of a real battle right now."

Shiori flinched as she watched Bakugo make his way towards Izuku once again.

But this time, little Deku was prepared. He grabbed onto Bakugo's right arm and used his momentum to throw him on the floor.

The class gasped as Katsuki hit the floor.

Shiori's eyes widened with shock. It was a rare sight to see Bakugo being overpowered.

When Katsuki got back up, he looked absolutely livid.

'Oh boy.' thought Shiori. If Izuku was in trouble before, now he had his head on a guillotine.

Bakugo attacked once again, and while Midoriya blocked the attack, Uraraka ran towards the nuclear bomb.

Once Izuku evaded the incoming attack, he ran off in the opposite direction, leading Katsuki away from Ochaco.

Midoryia hid in a hallway until Bakugo found him.

In the monitor room, the students couldn't hear what they were saying, but Bakugo's face was enough indication that things were about to take a turn for the worse.

Then, Bakugo extended his arm forward and began to pull back the trigger in his gauntlet grenade.

In that moment, Shiori remembered how he had told her he designed gauntlets for his costume that could store the nitroglycerin from his sweat to create a massive explosion.

"Sir, he's going to blow the whole place up!" Shiori said, turning towards their teacher in desperation.

All Might frowned and brought his radio up to his mouth.

"Young Bakugo, stop! Are you trying to kill him?!"

But the trigger was pulled, and the entire second floor exploded.

"This is supposed to be a class!" said Kirishima, as the students felt the tremor of the explosion all the way to the monitor room.

"Young Midoriya!" called out All Might, as smoke covered the entire surrounding area.

'Katsuki, you idiot, what have you done?' thought Shiori, as she scanned the screen for signs of Izuku.

Once the smoke cleared, the two boys could be seen facing each other on a half blown-up area of the floor.

"Sir, you need to stop them! Katsuki will kill him!" said Shiori, with fear in her voice.

"Young Bakugo, next time you use that, I'll stop the fight and your team will lose." said All Might, through the radio.

'Are you serious? He's not going to stop them?' thought Shiori.

She was starting to think All Might just wanted to see how far either of them would go. But when it came to Bakugo, Shiori knew better than anyone that there was no limit.

When the two began fighting again, Katsuki was completely destroying Izuku.

Shiori flinched with every blow, getting more and more nervous for Midoriya's well-being.

"This is lynching!" said Mina. "He can capture him for this exercise by just wrapping the tape around him!"

"Those are not the actions of a hero." said Tokoyami.

Her classmates' words broke Shiori's heart, mostly because she knew they were true.

"I thought Midoriya was pretty amazing too, but in terms of combat power, Bakugo is definitely a ball of natural instincts." said Kaminari.

Shiori closed her eyes and wished for Bakugo to come to his senses. 'Please. Please stop.'

Katsuki and Izuku then charged at each other head on, and this time, Midoriya looked like he was going to use his Quirk.

"No!" said Shiori, realizing that a punch from him would kill Bakugo.

All Might must have thought the same, because he quickly brought the radio to his face.

"You two, sto-"

But before he could order them to stop, Izuku moved his arm, and instead of aiming for Bakugo, he directed his punch to the ceiling.

His attack travelled all the way to the roof, making a massive hole through the building's structure.

As the walls trembled and the building began to crumble, Uraraka seized the moment to float her way to the nuclear bomb.

When she touched it, the test was over and the hero team had won.

Nonetheless, in order to aim for the ceiling, Midoriya had to take Bakugo's attack full-on. He was left with one arm completely burned, and the other destroyed from using his Quirk.

"Hero team wins!" announced All-Might, as Izuku fell over unconscious.

---

Midoriya was taken to the nurse's office, while Bakugo stood paralyzed in place.

Once Izuku left on a stretcher, Shiori made her way out into the training grounds, striding towards Katsuki.

"What the hell were you thinking? You could have gotten both of you killed!" She almost never confronted him about things, because over the years she had learned to just let him be. This time, however, she couldn't help it. "I know you have a grudge with Izuku, but you went too far!"

Shiori was expecting Bakugo to blast her into the next training ground. But to her surprise, Katsuki just remained silent, looking down to the floor.

Shiori was about to say something, when All Might made his way towards them.

"Himura, your name has been drawn. Please make your way inside to meet your partner."

She looked at Bakugo and sighed.

"Yes, sir."

With that, Shiori made her way back into the monitor room.

---

The next battle was between Shiori and Kirishima, playing the villains, and Mina and Rikido, playing the heroes.

"Indoor person-to-person combat training number two: START!" announced All Might.

Shiori and Kirishima stood in front of the bomb, ready for the arrival of the heroes.

"Alright, be quiet so I can try and listen to them coming." said Shiori as she closed her eyes to focus on the sounds traveling through the walls.

"Or we can just draw them out!" said Kirishima, as he knocked down one of the pillars in the room, causing a tremor throughout the building.

"Now they know where the bomb is! If they touch it, we lose. Did you stop to think this through?"

"Bold of you to assume I ever think." shrugged Kirishima.

"Alright, change of plans. All we have to do to win is wrap them with tape, right?"

"Yeah, that's what the Teach said."

"Okay, I can take out Mina pretty fast, but you gotta stay with the bomb. I'll come back when I'm done."

"All right boss!" Kirishima held his thumb up and flashed his signature shark-toothed smile.

"Don't call me- ugh, whatever. I'll be back soon."

With that, Shiori disappeared with a gush of air.

"Woah, she's really fast." whispered Kirishima.

---

Shiori ran through the corridors of the building like a shadow, trying to listen for Mina's steps.

She reached a crossing of two hallways and stopped to listen. Suddenly, she heard slow steps to her left.

"Got ya." she whispered.

Shiori ran towards the sound, and before Mina even noticed her presence, she had been wrapped in tape.

In normal circumstances, Mina could have dissolved the tape with her acid. But in this training battle, once she was tapped up, she lost.

"HEY! That's not fair!" complained the pink-skinned girl. "I didn't even see you!"

"Sorry. Just wanna get this over with."

Shiori then ran back up to the bomb room, where she found Kirishima and Rikido wrestling.

"YOU'RE NOT GETTING THROUGH!" shouted Kirishima, who had his whole body hardened in an attempt to keep Sato from pushing his way to the bomb.

Shiori sighed and got her tape ready.

Before both boys noticed her presence, she wrapped the tape around Rikido's legs and torso.

The alarm sounded, signalling that the battle was over.

"Team Villains WINS!" announced All Might.

"Alright!" commemorated Kirishima, as he shared a fist-bump with his partner. "Good job, Shiori! Can I call you Shiori?"

"Sure." she smiled.

---

Back in the monitor room, Kaminari made his way to Kirishima and Shiori as they entered.

"That was crazy! Shiori, you ended the whole thing in like, 5 minutes!"

"I just got lucky with the conditions of the training" she shrugged "had this been a real battle it wouldn't have been so easy."

"Everyone, gather around!" announced the teacher. "Combat training three is about to start!" announced All Might.

After all the teams completed the training, the class gathered at the gates of Ground Beta.

"Good work everyone! We didn't have any major injuries other than Young Midoriya, either! You all did a good job for your first training!" said All Might.

"To have such a proper class after Mr. Aizawa's class, it's kind of anticlimactic." said Asui, as her classmates nodded in agreement.

"We're free to have proper classes, as well! Well then, I must review the results with Young Midoriya! Change and return to the classroom! Dismissed!"

As the students began to leave, Shiori saw that Katsuki was still looking down to the floor in silence. He had been quiet throughout the whole class, and she was beginning to worry.

As Shiori was about to make her way over to Bakugou, All Might appeared in front of her.

"Young Himura, may I speak to you for a moment?"

"Yes, sir."

"You and Young Bakugo are friends, correct?"

"Yeah, we've known each other since we were babies."

"Then you know that Young Bakugo is a mass of pride. And there's nothing more fragile than a heart that's swelled to bursting. Young Himura, as his friend, I ask that you be there for him. He needs it more than you might realize."

"I- yeah, of course."

"Thank you. Good job today! I must go now. Plus Ultra!"

With that, All Might ran out of the training grounds, leaving a trail of smoke behind.

Shiori looked back to where Bakugo was, but he had already left.

---

After the students changed out of their hero costumes, Shiori helped Kaminari get the notebooks for the next period.

"So, that Bakugo has some anger issues, huh?" asked the blond-haired boy.

"Well, I wouldn't exactly call it an issue." shrugged Shiori. "An issue is something you can fix."

"You know, Shiori, we should grab a bite sometime. What kind of food do you like?"

"Oh, I like everything-"

Shiori stopped on her tracks when she looked over to Bakugo's desk and realized it was empty.

"Where is Katsuki?" she asked.

"We all tried to stop him, be went home just now without saying anything." said Ochaco, who was standing close-by.

"What?"

"I think Izuku went after him." added Iida.

'Oh no.' thought Shiori. She put down the notebooks and grabbed her backpack, then ran out the classroom door.

As she ran down the school's stairs, she could feel Bakugo's scent getting closer.

"Katsuki!" she called out, as she made her way towards the front gates.

But when she stepped outside, she saw Midoriya was already there. She decided to observe from afar as the two boys argued.

"As I watched the ice guy I thought, 'I can't beat him'!" said Katsuki. "Damn it! Even Shiori has gotten stronger and I don't know if I could have beaten her! Damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!"

Tears started covering Bakugo's eyes, and Shiori's heart tightened as if a fist was closing in around it.

"But I'm just getting started! You hear?" screamed Katsuki. "Here, I will become number one! You won't beat me again, bastard!"

With that, he turned around to leave.

Shiori, upon noticing that, ran towards him. In the blink of an eye, she was walking beside him.

"Wait for me, Katsuki."

Bakugo eyes widened as he saw the girl appear next to him.

"What the hell are you doing here?"

"Walking home with you." she smiled.

"You have class, moron! Go back inside!"

"Nope. I'm not going anywhere. We've walked home together since Junior School, Katsuki. And I told you nothing was going to change."

Bakugo looked almost speechless for a quick second.

In the end, he just growled grumpily.

Shiori smiled and proceeded to tell him about her day as they walked, knowing quite well how much it annoyed him. But right now, she figured it was exactly the kind of annoyance he needed.
