No, no, no, I chanted in my head, watching the security staff zooming in towards all of us.

This was not in the plan. Nor was drowning the whole restaurant out, I thought.

"Save your lives!" Seth shouted, instantly running away, Francis and Liam close behind him.

I watched as Leo sneaked away before Brandon and I could even blink our eyes.

Panic gripped me as the three of the security ran behind them, with one left with us.

The man looked at us, dressed in blue overalls which were a size too small for him. I gulped and he sneered at me, slowly taking a step towards us.

"You won't be able to escape me, scoundrels," He let out a throaty laugh, and rubbed his hands together, taking another step forward.

I took a staggering step back in return and Brandon's hand immediately caught mine, pulling me close behind him.

Even in this impossible situation I felt aware of his hand, which was absurd to be honest.

Brandon squeezed my hand to get my attention and I heard his low voice in my ear, clearing me of my wandering thoughts.

"Run when I say," he said, watching me with a side glance and I nodded softly.

"3, 2, 1... Run!" he shouted and both of us whipped back and started sprinting away.

"You punks!" The security shouted at us, as his overweight body started following us.

My hands now clasped tightly in Brandon's, I pushed my feet harder to get some distance between him and us.

We zoomed left and right through the scattering of people, receiving curious glances and surprised exclaims from them.

I could hear his shouts of pushing people aside as well as the grunts and I was eternally grateful for Brandon's company.

My purse dangled from my side and I noticed regretfully that a pen and a paper bounced out from it. I watched it fall on the ground and hesitated to pick it up, but Brandon pulled my hand.

"We'll find it later, hurry up for now!" His eyes were concerned as he looked back to see if he was still following us.

I nodded and picked up my speed again, as Brandon expertly pushed people aside to let us through.

"That way!" I shouted, pointing towards a large group of people standing at some distance.

More the crowd to get lost into, the better.

"Faster," Brandon urged me on, pulling my hand and I groaned. My underworked muscles were already tired and groaning in pain.

Looking at Brandon leading me, I rolled my eyes when I saw that he was totally unperturbed.

And here I was, feeling like a dying giant whale.

"Stop, please," I begged him as my breathing turned laboured and my lungs screamed in pain.

We were admist a crowd of people now and Brandon halted, looking back at me.

"Are you alright?" he asked and I shook my head wildly.

My hair were matted to my sweaty face and I knew I represented the animal tribe perfectly.

"Please let's hide somewhere, I don't think he's following us anymore," I said between another set of heavy breaths and Brandon shook his head at me.

"Okay, let--"

"You couple of shit heads!" I heard a loud shout behind us and another shot of fear rang through my body.

"Run!" I shouted, adrenaline pulsing through my body and pushed away the crowd of people in front of us, earning a few curses and groans.

"Hey!" Someone shouted as we pushed past him.

"Watch out!" Another shouted at me, but it was too late as I tripped over someone's large foot.

My left ankle twisted, my leg giving out as it did so. The man tried to help me up, but Brandon's hand shot out from behind me and caught me in a split second.

"I'll handle it," his reply was short and curt, as he wrapped both his hands around my waist to pull me up.

The man raised his arms in surrender and walked away, mouthing a small apology as he did so.

"Yikes!" I hissed, as I put the weight of my body on my foot.

"Don't tell me you twisted it?" he asked concerned, his eyes sweeping the crowd again to ensure that he had not spotted us yet.

"I don't think it's serious, but..." I trailed off looking down at me feet with dread.

"But what?" He pulled my chin up with his hand, the other one still around my waist and forced me to look into his eyes.

"See," I raised my foot and he moved back to examine it. The broken strap of my sandals was very much evident as it dangled from it and he hissed.

"Shit."

"I know," I said, with a frown.

Now I had matching broken sandals to go with my broken purse. Yay, me.

"Brandon you should run, I'll figure something out. My spider senses are telling me that trouble is very near. "

"Stop being so dramatic, will you?"

"No but seriously, you should--"

"Hop on my back," Brandon said and kneeled with his back facing me.

"What?" I asked, bewildered, "Hop on your back? It's not the time for a massage, Brandon."

"Not literally! I'll carry you," he replied.

"What?"

"Are you getting on or do you want to spend the night in jail?"

"No no!" I hastily wrapped my hands around his neck and he picked me up.

My legs were wrapped around his torso, my stomach and chest pressed flat against his back. His hands held my lower thighs to keep me in place.

The piggyback had been so glorified that the truth had me baffled. It was really just awkward and embarrassing as fuck.

The three minutes Brandon huffed around with me in tow, was the three most dilemma filled minutes of my life.

My body was tingling all over, and each step made me bounce on his back. Which was not, like ever, a good thing.

My cheeks were red just thinking that Brandon could probably feel my whole body right now.

Which made me stall over whether I should suck my breasts in or let them be. Like, how was a teenage girl expected to know all this?

They should have written a manual on this.

"Stop choking me, Ty," Brandon groaned, snapping me back to reality and I instantly loosened my hold on his neck.

"Woah!" I screeched as Brandon stumbled a little and I immediately saw the reason behind it or more like in front of it.

My mom stood in front of us, with another someone, who looked suspiciously like Brandon with her blonde hair and green eyes.

Uh-oh.

"Mom?" Both of us said in unison and the ladies looked at us with open interest.

"Brady and Ty! Fancy seeing you here, we have some work, please don't mind us," It was Brandon's mom who spoke, giving an overly dramatic wink to my mom before pulling her away.

I instantly felt empathy for Brandon, noticing that his mom was no less of a personality than mine.

"Brandon, I think we are safe?" I asked him and he nodded, letting me down, still in a little shock.

"Oh shit, he's there," I whispered and Brandon followed my gaze to see that the security guard was still around the area.

He led me away quietly, with me half dragging my feet and trying not to let the loose strap make me trip over.

We stopped in a corner and I almost smashed my back into someone else before I turned.

"Hello ma'am, your tickets?" A man asked me and I looked at him confused.

"Sorry, what?" I asked, and Brandon nudged me to look up.

We both were standing in front of the Ferris Wheel and it was like both of us were struck with inspiration together.

"How much are the tickets?" I asked him hurriedly, taking out the money.

Shoving the money in his hands which he accepted, he opened the security gate for us to let us through.

I heard the noises of people as the security guard shuffled through the sea of crowd. Almost leaping with joy, when the small trolley opened and both of us ushered inside.

Two people were already seated in the opposite seat and upon seeing me, instantly got up.

"Mommy, mommy, the snail!" The little girl, once again shouted and I flushed thinking back to the embarrassing episode, an hour ago.

"Come on, Eliza. I'll buy you an another ice cream. We'll ride this later," With that she huffed out, leaving Brandon a little perplexed.

"What was that about?" Brandon asked me and I shook my head feigning innocence.

"Dunno," I bit my lip to stop myself from laughing.

The trolley's door closed as the two of them as they exited and I grinned realising that we were finally safe.

"He didn't get in!" I looked down at the security guard as the trolley started moving up and saw that he was still searching us in the crowd, having no clue that we were in the ride.

"Yeah," Brandon mumbled, his breath fanning over my face, making me realise the small proximity between us.

He apparently didn't notice, because he didn't move an inch away from me. I turned my head slowly towards him to see that he was watching me, and not down the window like I thought.

My nerves suddenly started tingling, and I had a strong feeling of where this was going to lead. But the more troubling thought was that it didn't bother me one bit.

A sigh escaped my lips, as the ferry rolled down, sending flutters of tickles in my stomach.

I gathered up the confidence to look up into Brandon's eyes and the intensity of his gaze, stole my breath away once again.

The circle started once again, and I felt Brandon's hand brush over mine. The same hand that I had been holding for the whole evening, now felt more sensual and exciting, being the only contact between out skins.

Our eyes stayed locked into place, none of us moving an inch away from our places, except for the same air that we were breathing.

I could feel that both of us didn't want to move away from each other and end this moment or had the confidence to move closer and take the fall.

Yet.

Our thoughts were so alike and transparent as the moment prolonged. Our wills broke down and I felt it give way to primitive need.

One moment, the silence had been filling the air between us, the other we both were moving closer, an inch at a time.

"Ty?" Brandon whispered, exhaling dangerously close to my mouth. Sending shivers down my whole body with the blow of his air.

"Yes?" My voice was small and unsure as I said it, the drumming of my heart and the soft sounds of my breath the only thing audible.

"I am going to kiss you," he said and even though that was the most obvious thing he could have told me, a gasp left my mouth.

"Okay," I gulped as he didn't immediately swooped in to claim my lips.

"Don't punch me," he said, my stomach somersaulting as the Ferris Wheel picked up speed, making my hair fly away from my face.

"Okay," I chuckled and grabbed the metal railing of the window and slowly closed my eyes, noticing that Brandon was doing the same.

He moved closer, his breath against my mouth indicating his position.

My heart felt like it was going to come out of my chest, and I gulped once again anticipating the touch of his lips.

"Ack!" I shouted as the ride bumped and stopped to a stand still and loud screams filled the air.

My first thought was that the world was going to end right now, which immediately shifted when Brandon lost his balance with the sudden jerk and his face fell flat onto my chest.

Ouch.

My scream joined the group of other screams and Brandon hastily moved back, his face red with embarrassment.

"What the heck happened?" he growled and I stopped screaming, noticing that everything and everywhere was just blackness.

"A blackout?" I said in disbelief, watching the whole Trade Fair bathed in darkness with only the emergency lights on, on a few places.

"Shit, how we are going to get out?" He looked around and all the rides were stopped in between, and I thanked God that we were not in a roller coaster or something, hanging upside-down.

"This never happens here, unless someone did it..." I trailed off, just as both our phones beeped with a message.

"Sorry, it was the only way we could escape. Hope the blackout is sexy, Seth," Brandon read the message aloud and snorted in annoyance.

"The hell!" I said but it was unnecessary as the lights switched back on almost instantly and the ride started moving again.

The sea of grumbling people got out from the Ferris Wheel and Brandon and I followed out too, no one trying to dare the ride again.

Brandon called the others up and I sighed in relief learning that everyone was safe.

We decided to meet at the ice cream parlour, and Brandon and I walked there silently. I had finally given up on my sandals, and taken them out, to walk barefooted.

Both of us were aware of each other's presence but said nothing as we reached there.

"God that was one chase! What happened to you?" Seth laughed, his face stuffed with strawberry ice cream and I just about hit him with my shoe.

Brandon was still a little iffy after what had happened in the ride, but both of our prides restricted us from beating the shit out of Seth.

Like there was no way anyone of us was going to admit about whatever had happened in there.

"Fancy seeing you all here," I heard a curt voice behind us and the ice cream fell from Seth's hands.

Leo and Liam looked shocked as well, and I belatedly noticed Francis's absence.

"I am sorry everyone," Francis mumbled, hidden behind Bella. Her outfit had changed and she was now back to her black hot pants and halter tops.

"Did you think, I didn't know you were gay?" she laughed and I frowned.

No need for pleasantries now, I guess.

"What do you mean?" Francis asked, walking towards us and facing Bella.

"I knew all about your affairs before I even came here. Do you think I am stupid?"

"I don't understand," Francis and I looked genuinely confused as we stared at her.

"Don't act coy with me. I have already made all the plans to ruin him. See," She held up a piece of paper and it was like the blood in my veins froze over.

The letterhead clearly stated Sweet Temptations the name of our bakery and it didn't look any less intimidating.

"I knew that, that Tyler was ruining you. Do you think I didn't know you two dated?" She smirked and I bit my lip, clenching my hands into a fist.

"He won the competition, huh? I have a very sweet proposal for him. So who is he?" Her eyes looked over at all of us, disregarding me altogether, her mouth pulled back into an almost sneer.

That's when I realised, that she thought Tyler, was a male. The situation would have felt funny to me had it not been related to this bitch.

"So who the fuck is he? I want to see his face when I ruin his mom's bakery," she smirked again, and my head swam with white hot rage.

I saw Brandon stalk towards her in anger, but I pulled him back, sharply.

"I am Tyler," I stepped out and hissed out through clenched teeth.
