Emily's POV

The next morning I woke up to someone's hair falling to my face. I groaned and lifted my head to see who was waking me up. My face held a horrified expression as I realised that I had slept the whole night in Jack's arms.

Wow.

I started slowly lifting my body from the couch. You thought I could do that without him waking up? Nope.

Jack shifted next to me and opened his eyes, gently rubbing them. He was kind of cute when he was sleepy.

"Morning." I was embarrassed, "Do you want coffee?" I asked. I usually didn't drink coffee, but now I needed it more than anything else.

"Uh no thanks." Jack answered. He was looking around, like trying to process what had happened last night.

"I'm going to take a shower." He informed, before storming to the bathroom.

Okay.

About fifteen minutes later, when I was just chilling and eating my breakfast, I heard a shout behind me.

"BOOO!!"

Can you guess who it was?

"Jack I swear to god if you scare me one more time I'm going to beat your ass!" I groaned in annoyance.

"I would like to see that happen." He laughed, "So did you sleep well last night?" Jack asked smirking, and took the last bite from my sandwich.

"Jack! That was my sandwich!"

"Exactly. That was your sandwich." Jack pointed winking. "You never answered my question." He said raising his eyebrows.

"No I didn't sleep well." I said, but you could clearly tell I was lying.

"Sure whatever you say." He grinned and I swatted his arm.

"I'm going to take a shower now." I said and walked to the bathroom, hearing Jack whistling after me.

He was such an ass.

The shower was refreshing. When I stepped out I noticed that the mirror was full of steam so I started doing a smiley face on it. I always did that when I was a kid, so why not do it now.
I turned around and began to grab my towel, but it was nowhere to be seen. I'm sure it was there before.

Oh.

Jack couldn't have taken it? I thought I locked the door? When I turned the door knob, the door opened.

"JACK!" I shouted from the top of my lungs.

A second went by and Jack was there. "Mm?"

"Could you please hand me my towel." I pleaded from the other side of the door.

"Towel? What towel?" He acted innocent but I knew he was the towel thief.

"Jack please." I pleaded one more time but it didn't work.

"I don't know what you are talking about." Jack said. Even though I could't see him, I knew the stupid smirk was covering his face.

"Looks like you have to come out without a towel." He laughed and walked away.

We had been living with each other for a day and he was already this comfortable around me? I could never do something like this to a person I've just met.

I sighed and started to think what to do. Maybe if I ran to my room? No, he would still probably see me.

But what else could I do? Nothing. And then I ran. It was horrible but fortunately Jack was nowhere to be seen.

As soon as I was in my room I closed the door. And there was my towel, nicely folded on my bed. Ugh. I was so going to murder Jack after this.

I decided to wear my sweatpants and a white top, just something comfy since it was Saturday. Just as I started to put those on, the door flew open. I put the towel on as fast as I could to cover my almost naked body.

"Jack what the hell!" I shouted, he was getting on my nerves so bad.

"What?" He smirked.

"Rule number two, knock on the door for God's sake."

"Oh I totally forgot about that one."

"Shut the door and let me put my clothes on." I hissed.

He came inside to my room and then shut the door.

"What now?" I groaned.

"You asked me to shut the door, I did." Jack was smiling, clearly proud of his clever joke.

"Ha ha ha, you're so funny! Could you please get out of my room, and then shut the door?" I said smiling sarcastically.

"Oh well why didn't you say that right away?" He said grinning. Once he had shut the door, I finally started putting my clothes on.

When I came out of my room, Jack was laying on the couch.

"You're so annoying you know that don't you?" I huffed.

He didn't answer me.

"Jack?"

No answer.

I walked to the couch but he didn't move. Was he breathing? Was he sleeping?
I couldn't see his face.

"Are you going to give me some space from now on, or do I have to sit on you?" I chuckled.

Still no answer.

Then I decided to go with the last thing; I sat on his back.

He stiffened.

"Huh so you aren't sleeping."

I seriously thought he would be sleeping because he wasn't answering me.

"Jack? Answer me?"

"Mm?" He breathed against the couch.

"What's with you?" I was confused about his odd behaviour.

"Nothing." He just answered quietly.

"You know you can tell me." I tried. "We're living togerther so we need to help each other, you know."

He tried to get up, so I moved from his back and sat beside him on the couch. I looked at him, waiting for him to answer me.

He just looked back at me. "What?" Jack snapped.

"What is wrong with you?" I asked again.

"Nothing." He answered shortly. Jack took his phone out and started playing with it.

"Well clearly there is something bothering you." I tried, "If we are going to be friends, we need to-"

"Oh no, no we are not friends." He shook his head.

"But last night you wer-"

"Last night I was kind to you only because you had just moved in." He snorted, "Don't think I will be nice to you all the time because I can tell you that's not me. If you annoy me, I will be a bitch to you, and make your living here hell."

"What the heck?" I snapped. "I'm annoying you?" I raised my voice, "You have done nothing but annoyed me since I got here."

"Have you noticed that you whine all the time?" He ignored me and rolled his eyes, "You can be a real pain in the ass."

"I don't understand where this is coming from?" I was the one who was supposed to be mad, not him.

"Look just give me some space and don't surround me all the fucking time."

I frowned at his words. I had done nothing but been kind to him. I just wanted us to be friends because he clearly needed a listener. "I'm just trying to help you and listen to your problems."

"I don't have any problems." He huffed and got up. "And I most certainly don't need your help." Jack snorted and went to his room, slamming the door after him.

Great. What did I do now?

I went to my room also. I decided to let Jack cool off. I dropped to my bed and crawled up into a ball. I drifted off to sleep, I guess I was still tired from yesterday.
