We arrived at the hotel earlier this morning, I don't know why we all agreed to share one room, but we had made it work. All of us showered and got settled in and now everyone was sleeping except for me, the person who should be asleep is wide awake. Every time I try to fall asleep, I get anxiety, so sleeping would be the last thing I did right now.

Jax snores loudly next to me while Kai, Aria, and Aaron shared a bed. I was still on the fact that they didn't get their own room, instead they rather be packed in one bed. Angus was left on the floor, which pissed me off. I rolled my eyes as I got out the bed to walk over to him.

"Angus, do you wanna sleep in the bed?" I asked crouching down next to him, "Next to Jax? Nah." He rasps.

I sighed, "Well, come on we're going on a walk."

I slid on my slides and put on Jax's oversized security jacket over my shorts and tank top. We quietly made it out the room and to the lobby where we exited the hotel to who knows where. We walked side by side on the sidewalk where Angus pulled out a cigarette, having me light it for him. As I held up the lighter, I caught somebody out the corner of my eye across the street taking a picture or video of us, I flipped them off and shoved the lighter back in my pocket.

"Mae." Angus laughs, grabbing my hand with his free on, intertwining our fingers to prevent me.

We walked around for about fifteen minutes, and I was about to suggest that we turn around, but we stumbled across a beautiful meadow, a slight smile forming on my face as I let go of his hand and walked into the flowers.

I turned back towards Angus to see that he was now taking pictures of me, I was thrown off a bit at first but then I started to playfully pose. He walked over to me and grabbed my waist and pulled me beside him, which also took me by surprise. We took a couple of selfies and joked around some, before admiring the beautiful scenery around us.

Angus sparked up another cigarette and plopped down on the grass next to me, I sat down next to him as we continued to admire the view. There were some mountains in the distance, I've never seen anything so beautiful. Even though we did grow up here we never really got to see this part of Virginia.

We sat there in a comfortable silence for a while, enjoying each other's company. After a while he grabbed my hand and interlocked our fingers, sitting them on his leg. Which made me look away, flustered, part of me has always liked Angus. I know he's my best friend and it's wrong but it's something about his hazel eyes, short brown hair and beard that's he's been growing out over the years. I loved his personality too, he's actually a goofball when he isn't being an asshole and actually quite serious when he needs to be.

He's likes to love in the moment, and that's my favorite thing about him.

THREE YEARS AGO

Me, Jax, and Angus were at the skate park. I had just started like a week ago and I had no business being at that skate park performing tricks that I had no idea how to do. I stood at the top the ramp procrastinating if I should go down or not.

"You don't know what you're doing, get down." Jax yells at me, "Fuck it, just do it." Angus shrugged.

That's all I needed to hear. I pushed myself off and skated down, immediately falling and hitting the back of my head. Both Angus and Jax ran over to me. And while Jax was trying to see if I was alright Angus laughed his ass off, and so did I.

I ended up with a concussion.

End of flashback

"What you over there thinking about?" Angus looked over at me, "That time at the skatepark." I slightly laugh.

"When you bust your ass and gave yourself a concussion?" He joined in on the laugher.

"Yeah."

"Jax was so mad at me." He shakes his head.

"I don't know why; I was the one who did it."

"Cause he fucking hates me." He laughs and I joined in. It's no secret that Jax isn't the biggest fan of Angus, they used to be close, but something just happened over the years. But they have to deal with each other because of me, I had met Angus when I was eleven, and Jax when I was seventeen. I'm twenty two now.

"Fucking Jax." I shook my head and laughed, "Such a punk! He's a good guy though..." Angus says.

"Yeah, he is..." I trailed off. We sat in silence for a moment and then my phone started to ring.

Where are you?

Went on a walk with Angus

Come back, we're going to breakfast

Oh...okay

"Guess we're going to breakfast." I told Angus after I hung up the phone, "Let's go then." Angus says.

I really didn't want to though; I was enjoying the moment we were having. Whatever though, it was probably for the best. As Angus got up my hand was still interlocked with his causing him to fall right back down and we both started to laugh.

"Sorry." I said in between laughter.

We stood up and walked back to the hotel, hand in hand. When we entered the hotel room all eyes were on us, is it that obvious? I ignored everybody and walked over to my bag and grabbed something to wear. I walked into the bathroom and quickly got dressed and then brushed my teeth, before joining everyone else in the room.

"Where'd you two sneak off to?" Aaron teased.

"Just on a walk," I shrugged, "We found a meadow."

"Is Mae back?" I heard Gio yell as he rapidly knocked on the door.

"Yes Gio, I'm back."

"Come on, we don't got all day." His voice fades as he walks down the hall.

Everybody walked in front of me except for Jax. I closed the door and started walking towards the lobby.

"So where'd y'all really go?" Jax says, "Like I said before, a walk..." I trailed off.

"Oh." He blankly replies, "Did you take your medicine today?"

"I'll take it when I get back."

We caught up with everyone and then all crawled into the van, I had no idea where Gio was taking us, but we needed to get there as soon as possible because I was actually hungry today. I sat beside Angus of course, he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me close him. I look up for a split moment and caught Jax giving me a death glare but as soon as he noticed I was looking at him he changed his expression. What the fuck was that?

"You wanna see the pictures from earlier?"
Angus asked me, "Yeah." I nuzzled my head in chest.

Angus pulled his phone out and showed me the pictures he took of me earlier and the selfies, we actually looked like a couple. The thought of us being a thing made me happy but at the same time I don't wanna ruin our friendship. I wish I had a girl friend to talk to this about, yeah there's Aria, but we aren't close at all, she's only here because she's Kai's girlfriend.

After a couple minutes we pulled up to some old-fashioned diner, we all got out and followed Gio into the restaurant. The waiter sat us down and ordered drinks and looked over the menu, after a couple minutes we ordered and then waited for our food to get here.

"Mae, what are your plans for after tour?" Aria asked, "I don't make plans, things just happen." I shrugged and she rolls her eyes at my response.

"Take a vacation kid, you deserve it." Gio pats me on the back.

"I don't even know where I'd go."

"You always said you wanted to go to Kauai." Angus suggested, "Damn you remember that?" I laugh.

"You talked about it every day."

Vacation may be a good idea, I'm off tour in a couple of days so I'd need to start planning right now. Should I go alone? Invite the others? It'd be nice to be alone for a while...I don't know, I'll figure it out later on tonight. Our food came and we all talked and ate, we ended up leaving the restaurant around noon. Behind schedule as always.

When we got back to the hotel, I planned on sleeping until the concert and that's exactly what I said, nobody bothered me they just let me sleep the day away. I woke up an hour before the concert and got ready to leave, we were actually running a bit late and the hotel being so far didn't help at all. When we reached the venue, we quickly set up and started the concert.

Now me and Jax were sitting in the courtyard of the hotel planning my trip to Kauai. I stared at my computer screen in front of me procrastinating literally everything, I didn't even know where to start. I huffed and buried my face into my hands.

"Wassup?" Jax asked, "I don't even know where to start. I've never planned my own vacation." I say.

"Spoiled ass." He laughs, "First you have to find out where you're staying, what about a villa?" He suggests.

"Far from spoiled...and a villa sounds nice."

He takes my computer and types something in, he stares at the screen for a bit and then slides it back over towards me. There was a beautiful villa pulled up available for next weekend, I booked it with no hesitation. Then I pulled up plane tickets.

"What class do you wanna fly?" I asked Jax, "I'm not going." He says still looking at his phone.

"Why the hell not?" I frowned.

"We've been gone for a long time, I have a lot to take care of when we get back home, I'm gonna be busy for the next month."

"But you're my bodyguard..." I trailed off.

"Just take Angus."

"I can't 'just take Angus' I have to ask him too." I rolled my eyes, "He'll say yes." He says bluntly.

"Sure, whatever." I roll my eyes while booking my ticket, "I'm going upstairs, are you coming?"

"I'll be up in a minute." He waves me off.

I walked back into the hotel and got on the elevator to our floor, once I get off the elevator and to our door Angus is coming out as I approached.

"Where you going?" I asked, and he held up a cigarette box.

"Oh, well I have a question." I grinned, "What weirdo? Stop grinning at me like that." He chuckled.

"Wanna come to Kauai with me next weekend?" I looked up at him shyly, "You wanna take me with you?" He asked, shocked.

"Why is that so shocking to you? You're my bestfriend." I hit his arm.

"I thought you'd take Jax or something." He shrugs, "But yeah sure, I'll come to Kauai with you."

"Great. I'll send you what seat to book and also you need to rent a car since I'm paying for the villa." I tell him as I'm about to walk in the room, "Where do you think I'm gonna get all this money?" He jokes.

Angus is a producer, tattoo artist, and part time drug dealer.

"Very funny." I close the door.
