"This... this just won't do. No." I watched the old man. He intertwined his long fingers together, placing them on the mahogany desk.

I could feel my heart stop. I stared at him in shock. It didn't feel real, it was like watching a movie, I became numb for a split second.

Disappointment, shock, anguish, anger, and a stabbing feeling in my chest. There had to be some way to talk him out of it, something I could do.

This wasn't the type of situation where I could to take my loss and let it go, but I knew from the cold and emotionless look in his eyes that that's what had to happen. He had the eyes of a life long psychopath who wouldn't hesitate to kill steal and destroy.

He wasn't going to change his mind. He needed to.

"No? What do you mean no?" His knuckles turned white as he squeezed his intertwined fingers tighter together. He glared at me, crows feet wrinkles revealing themselves on the side of each eye.

"You aren't good enough for him. I have a girl in mind for him. Rachel! Get in here!" I glared at the door, watching it slowly creek open, revealing the platinum blonde woman from Vitalys party.

The bitch. The wretched bitch. This was, I believe, the first time I've felt such intense emotions of anger.

I've never been this angry. This sad. I wanted to hurt them both. I wanted them to suffer.

I clenched my hands, forming a tight fist, I could feel my long fingernails digging into my palms. "I'm sure you've ran into her, one time, or another. This is his true fiancé. You are nothing more than a toy, I suppose, to sow his wild oats."

I stared at him, thinking of a way to kill 2 birds, no, two people, with two fists. "You Can leave now. Don't worry, I'll tell my grandson how you don't love him and decided to leave and be with your precious James."

"Hell no. If you think you're going to separate us like that you have another thing coming." He raised his eyebrow, his features screamed that his patience, if existent, was wearing thing.

"If you won't comply, I'll be forced to get rid of you. You'd be wise to be obedient. Don't worry, you can keep the bastard and I'll even pay you off a good sum, but you must never contact him again."

I could feel the wheels in my head turning, plotting. It was either die, or die, which one was worse? To die physically? Or to have any sort of emotion of happiness I've ever had shrivel up and die.

There had to be another way. "Where is he? I want to say goodbye at the very least. Please. It's the least you can do."

He eyed me suspiciously, only for a moment before parting his lips slightly, only to snap them shut again.

"Please, just to say goodbye. He won't believe you if you tell him I just left. Please, let me break it to him. He won't give up any other way."

He squinted his eyes at me momentarily, then let out a gruff before nodding. "Fine. I'll give you 10 minutes. During that time, you will pack and explain to him that you don't love him anymore, tell him you want to go back to James, understood?"

I nodded my head, "Understood."

I walked out of the room. I could feel my heart beat as I walked down the bright corridor, thinking of what I could do, and where I went wrong.

Earlier he was kind, courteous. He had no problem with our relationship. As soon as Calix left he became another person entirely.

It didn't matter, not much anyways. I refused to let Calix go. The feelings are very much mutual.

We've hurt each other enough. We've moved past too much. All to let some idiot tear it apart.

Haven't we done enough damage to one another? Can't we just be happy? Normal?

Normal. Normal is subjective. One persons weird is another persons normal and vice versa. I want a normal for us.

A normal that might be weird for the rest, or strange I suppose, but Its what i want, or I guess it's more of a situation about who I want that with. Only him.

It can only be him. It will only be him. Only Calix.
