Preview

He took one step forward, I took one back. He took another step forward and I took another one back doing this trend until I felt my back hit the cold concrete wall behind me.

He closed the distance between us, standing mere centimeters away. I could feel the warmth his body radiated. The distance between our faces were close, close enough to catch the scent of his minty breath.

Okay too close.

"I have an offer." He finally spoke up. "See, you need my help and my help isn't free." His eyes slowly scanning my appearance which caused my cheeks to flame up. Maybe today was the wrong day to wear jeans and a t-shirt. "So, let's make this little agreement interesting." A sly smirk found its way onto his lips.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "How?" I asked curiously.

"Let's make this into a game." The word flowed of his lips smoothly.

Seriously? A game?

"A game?" I asked incredulously. "You want to play a game?" Of course he would make this into something for himself.

Jace let out a soft deep chuckle. "You know if we do this thing , one of us is bound to develop feelings for the other. It's pretty much inevitable." He said referring to my proposal earlier. Yeah right. "Let's see who will fall first."

I rolled my eyes at him. There was no way I was going to develop feelings for this guy. I scoffed. "You might, but I definitely won't."

A sly grin filled his lips "Oh come on, wouldn't it be bragging rights if you get me of all people to fall for you? You would be a legend. " He added trying to convince me to agree. I gave him a pointed look which just extended his grin even more. "You're harder to convince then some."

"You've played this game before?" I asked curiously.

"Getting jealous already?" He teased.

I raised an eyebrow. "You wish." I scoffed once more. "What do you get out of this little game?"

"Just some fun and well, to know I can even make any girl fall for me." His eyes held the same type of playfulness as before. "Well, what do you say? Do you agree to my terms?"

Unfortunately, I did need his help because at this point I'm pretty sure Nate thinks that there is something going on with us. I might as well build on this while I have the chance. If this was the only way he would actually help, I guess I have to do it. There is absolutely no way I was gonna fall for this jerk.

I didn't even have an ounce of like for this guy.

This was gonna be a an easy game.

"Deal." I spoke signing away my soul to the devil
