The first half of the day included me sitting in class looking at the teacher with boredom in my eyes and hunger. I was seriously hungry that I couldn't wait for lunch.

Finally, the bell rang indicating lunchtime and Paige and I walked hurriedly to the cafeteria.

"We won't be eating alone today," Paige spoke up while we walked.

"Why?" I looked at her in confusion, what's happening now, whats Paige thinking now.

"Well I made a friend at Photography class today and he invited me to his table to meet his friends and I asked if you could come along too and he said its fine."

"Oh," I said. I don't really like the idea though. I would just be like a lost puppy on the table and would have nobody to talk to.

"Lilia I know you don't really talk to people but please do this for me, Aidan is really cool and cute." She winked at her last statement.

I looked at her unsure.

"Please Lilia," she whined, tugging at my arm.

"Fine I understand I'll follow you, it's just to eat, it won't change anything."

"Thank you so much," she squeaked.

We entered the cafeteria and placed our food on the tray and headed to Aidan's table. We got to the table and they were chattering lots, the table was located at the far end of the left corner of the room and had five people on it; three boys and two girls.

"Hey Aidan," Paige said waving to a blonde boy while grinning.

The table suddenly went quiet and I couldn't help but notice the stare they gave us especially me. It looked like a look of disgust and contempt. Honestly, I wasn't comfortable and Paige must have noticed the looks they gave us but chose to ignore it.

The boy who Paige called Aidan broke the silence and welcomed us.

"Hey guys! Come sit! I couldn't help but notice the fake smile he put on his face and the look he gave his friends like they should stop staring and welcome us.

Paige immediately squeezed herself between Aidan and a girl on the table while I just sat at the edge.

This is really weird for me because I have never and I repeat never eaten on a table with a group of people. Paige felt free with the group quicker than I had imagined and chuckled at jokes a guy named Joshua made. How do I know his name? Because it was mentioned.

"Doesn't your friend talk?" A girl named Iris asked Paige. I looked up from my food to the table hearing this. Paige in return just shrugged and kept on eating.

"Maybe she's shy," A random voice from the table said.

"Or dumb," Aidan added which made everyone at the table snicker including Paige but she stopped and looked at me apologetically.

I hated the fact that they talked about me like I wasn't there or I was void. I wanted to talk, I wanted to yell at Paige for putting me in this situation but what if I say something that makes me look like a fool and in turn makes them laugh more. I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth and looked at them with pure hatred. Paige looked sorry and I didn't want to ruin her chances with this Aidan guy but he is an asshole to me. I continued to eat and endured the bickering on the table when a shout was heard across the room.

"Ah! Are you fucking blind? Can't you see I stood here?!" a voice growls.

The voice turned out to be Kyle's. Apparently, a guy bumped into him and spilled food on him and trust me it ain't gonna end well for him.

"I'm so so-rry" the guy stammered apologetically. He is fidgeting and clearly intimidated by Kyle.

"Is your brain not supposed to communicate to your legs that a person stood here and you should move?!" Kyle antagonized.

Now let me tell you how the atmosphere was; there was a fuming Kyle with food debris on his top, the guy was squirming and fidgeting, even the women who served the meals paused to watch, the hall was quiet and the only voice heard was that of Kyle and the boy when they spoke.

"I ca-n w-ash it," The guy said unsure.

Kyle looked like he was about to punch the guy. He just kept looking at the boy with clenched fists and lowered eyebrows.

"Wash it? So I'm to walk around school shirtless for the whole day?!" He growled.

Shirtless? I smiled as this thought, now that's a sight most girls would love to see.

At this time I'm sure Caleb & Sawyer must have felt the tension in the air rising and it won't take long before Kyle punches the living day out of this fellow. Caleb grabbed Kyle by the arm and whispered something into his ear.

"Calm down? Caleb, there's fucking mustard on me!"

"I'm sorry I couldn't see you there," He pleaded.

What?! Now that must have been a complete lie to cover up, it seems like Kyle was pretty obvious from where he stood. If I were this guy I would just shut my mouth and stare. Talking is only going to infuriate Kyle.

"You are not blind! Stop using excuses to cover your stupidity." He scoffs and runs a hand through his brunette hair. He looked away & Sawyer and Caleb were still trying to calm him down when he noticed the boy still standing there.

"Do I need to draw you a map on how to get the fuck out of here?!" Kyle spat.

"N-no," the boy stuttered and scrammed.

Kyle looked as frustrated as he could be and dashed out of the cafeteria in annoyance. Poor him, now he has to sit through class smelling like food.

Everyone continued eating like nothing happened but people couldn't help but talk about the incident that we all witnessed. I just went back to eating quietly and being ignored. I finished eating ten minutes before lunch would be over and decided to take a walk to the back of the school to clear my head since Paige was busy with her "new friends."

I got there and saw someone I didn't want to see, Kyle. He has held a box of tissue and tried to get the food off him. He huffed in annoyance while cleaning it and I could see he wasn't making any progress in getting the food off his shirt. Our eyes met and damn I was scared.

"You again," He said and looked away continuing to wipe his shirt. I just stared at him unsure of what to say. Should I say sorry or how are you or what? I don't want to say anything that's gonna provoke him.

"Are you just gonna stand there and not talk?" He said not looking up.

"Uhm, I don't know what to say," I admitted.

"I'm so gonna kill that fucker!"

"Well he did say he's sorry and he kind of looked it."

He looked up at me, "If sorry meant anything why are there still prisons?"

"Well um, I don't know." I've never actually thought of that though. Why can't criminals just say sorry and everything would be okay.

"Why are you here anyway?"

"I just wanted to clear my mind I guess. Do you need help, I could wash that part of the top."

"You want to help clean my shirt? He raised his eyebrow at me and I couldn't help but wonder why he was surprised I said that.

"Uhm yes, I guess. It looks like you need help."

He walked closer to me, with a smirk growing on his face. "You want me to take off my shirt?"

"Uhm yeah, I can wash that part while you wear my gym tee."

He moved closer to me that our face was now inches apart. One more step and our face might touch, possibly our lips.

"You want me to take off my tee?" He said with a smirk plastered on his face. My face heated up and I could feel my cheeks burning from embarrassment which could be considered as blushing.

"Y-eah, my gym top is quite com--fy and it would fit well on y--ou." I stammered and right now I could feel his breath on my nose and hear him breathing through his nose.

"Hmmm," he said still not taking a step back. He looked into my eyes sternly and backed away. Phew! I released a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Never mind I'll wash it myself just give me the gym tee."

"Well okay but it's in my locker."

"Cool let's go get it."

I couldn't help but wonder how I got myself in this situation, the school's hottie Kyle Rogers walking behind me. I could feel his gaze on my back but I didn't dare turn. We got stares from everyone in the hall and I couldn't blame them. They would be confused as to why Kyle would be following a nobody. Yes! A nobody. We got to the locker and I put in my combination. It opened and I brought out my gym top.

"Here you go," I said handing it out to him. He took the top and inspected it before throwing it over his shoulder.

"C'mon," he said and dragged me by the arm pulling me to the girl's toilet. We got in and he closed the door.
