*note this song makes me cry. ANYWAY

Weeks before.

"There's no way!" Blake shouted from the other side of the net. Parker just smirks and underhand serves it beautifully. Blake stares in shock as we all giggle from the side. Parker threw a rock and it hit him perfectly on the head.

"What the?" he ran under the net and started chasing her as she squealed in panic. We all smiled and I was drinking my apple juice.

Ty sighs and gets up grabbing the notebook for the things the boys said were our 'plans" for today. He was looking over it carefully and Cameron was glancing at it too. "Why are we doing all these things?" I turn to see Kaydon grinning and already looking at me.

"What?"

He just smiles and turns to look at Parker being picked up in the air. "Nothing." I slap him playfully on the arm and he just laughs.

"Just to make memories that's all, Si."

Si.

How could seven year old us not even notice what was coming?

——————————
Sunday, July 28th.

"I still don't get why you guys are packing," seven year old me plopped down on the ground next to Parker. Ty, Blake, and Kaydon were silent while grabbing their bags. The poster of their little league football championship was gone and into one of their bags. The iconic football blanket Blake had in his home was sticking out of the suitcase.

"Blake!" Cameron comes running in with tears streamed down her face. "How could you?" she practically yells. Cameron and Blake's mom, Carol, comes running in with an upset look on her face too. The guys turned around with guilt plastered on their faces. Parker and I grabbed onto Cameron and she turns into us with full on sobs. From the corner of my eye, I see Blake and Cameron's dad, Harry. Why is he here?

"Harry?" I see him walking in with one of the boy's suitcases. "What's going on?" my voice was shaky but I looked over to the boys as well. They were hiding their faces and Ty basically had tears welled in his eyes.

Parker looks at me with the most saddest eyes I've ever seen from her. "Sierra, they're leaving." she whispers. My eyes widened and I stare at them all. Kaydon looked at me with a look of regret, Cameron and Parker crying together in my tiny arms, Blake rubbing the back of his neck, and Ty kneeling down covering his face.

"Si," Kaydon tried to touch my hand but I stepped back closer to the girls.

"No."

Kaydon gave me a look of plea but the tears were fogging up my vision. This amount of pain building on my shoulders as I hear the girls' sobs and my mind processing what's actually happening was slowly becoming heavier. It was like all the air in my lungs couldn't get out or in. I look over to Harry and he nods slowly. A little gasp came from me.

A tear falls and down onto my thighs as I start crumbling down on my knees. The girls cry behind me, sniffling. That one tear was it. Harry stands in front of us with a solemn look.

"Girls, I know it's hard-" he tried to say but I interrupted him while staring at the ground with confusion and sadness.

"Then why?" it was barely a whisper but I kept going, staring at him. "Why are they even moving in with you?" My voice was shaking and getting louder as I kept going. He look appalled while I stared at him with fury in my eyes.

"Did you trick them? Do you think our neighborhood isn't good enough? Did you even get their ACTUAL parent's permission?" I was yelling and no one said a single word. My voice was breaking, tears slowly dripping down my cheeks as I looked at Kaydon for a moment.

"And you agreed?" I stepped in front of him as he gulped nervously. His eyes were full of shame and my heart was being shattered into a million pieces.

"Honey," I felt a hand on my shoulder and I knew it was Carol. "They have to go. Let's go downstairs girls."

The two others sniffled and walked out. It was this feeling that every single memory we made together was being ripped out of our brains and vanishing into thin air. As I begin walking to the door, I turned around and looked at the boys one last time.

"I can't believe you." was the last thing they ever heard from me.

cries in up.
