All they could do was stand there completely dumbfounded by what they found laying before them.

"It's a guy!" Obito said the first thing that popped into his mind, clearly surprised to find just one person, and an unconscious one at that.

"Thanks for stating the obvious, idiot." Kakashi was already annoyed with Obito. "What if he is an enemy huh? Just because he's out of it doesn't mean we should do anything."

"But Kakashi, he looks really hurt!" Rin, being a medical ninja, she cared about others being okay. She didn't like seeing the young man injured. "Minato-sensei, what do you think?"

Minato just stood there. He was shocked by what he saw, and by what he was feeling. Why do I feel like I know this boy? Why does he kind of remind me of Kushina? Where did he come from? What was that light just a little while ago? What is going on? Questions continued swirling around in his head. Minato hated not understanding something and it was really starting to frustrate him that he didn't know anything. Then his eyes landed on a particular headband the boy was wearing. It was a ninja headband - a hitai-ate - and it had the Leaf Village's symbol on it. "He's a Leaf ninja..." Minato was awestruck. He had never seen this boy before, he was sure of it.

"If he is, Minato-sensei, can I treat some of his wounds? I'm worried about him." Rin couldn't help but ask this. She looked at the young man, he seemed to be pretty tall, and had a handsome face that had three parallel whisker marks on each of his cheeks. His hair was just as blonde as her sensei's, and seemed to be almost the exact same style, which she couldn't help but giggle at.

"What are you laughing about Rin? I don't feel like this is the situation for that." Kakashi again seemed to be the serious one of the group, which came as no shock to his teammates. "He could still be a spy."

"No Kakashi, I was laughing because he looks a lot like sensei!" Rin couldn't help but laugh as she was saying this. "Well except for his clothes of course." As she was examining she noticed that he was wearing orange ninja pants and his legs were wrapped from the calf down to his ankle and he was wearing the common ninja sandals. He wore a black long sleeve shirt that had three orange rings around each wrist. He had common half gloves on that left his fingertips free and they had metal protectors on the backs of his hands, and he was wearing the common green jonin vest. Over everything he was wearing a high collared red cloak that had black flames around the bottom. "Well, I guess it looks just like what you would wear though, sensei!" she was still laughing as she saw the crazy similarities.

"Say, Minato-sensei, do you have a long lost twin or something?" Obito was surprised when he noticed how much they look alike after Rin pointed everything out. "Rin's right, he looks just like you."

"No. I don't. Rin, what sort of condition is the boy in?" Minato was on guard, he could sense others gaining on their position, and he was still wary of this strange boy, but for some reason that he couldn't explain, he didn't want this boy to die.

"It's bad sensei, like really bad! He basically has no chakra left, many broken ribs, a dislocated shoulder, many many cuts and lacerations all over his body, and he seems to have some internal bleeding." Rin was almost in tears now. Her laughing was completely gone and all she felt was sorrow for this poor boy. "I don't know how he is even alive sensei, he should be dead."

Minato's eyes widened as he heard all that was wrong with this poor boy. He has to be only around eighteen years old. What happened to him? He looks like he was on the front lines of the war... Minato couldn't bring himself to leave him there. "Rin, do what you can for him now, but hurry. We are about to have company. Kakashi, Obito, you're with me. We have to protect these two."

Minato had barely finished talking when eight other ninja arrived at their position. They could tell they were enemies right off the bat.

"There seem to be three jonin and five chunin in the group." Minato was assessing their situation trying to come up with the best plan of action. "I will take the jonin. Kakashi and Obito, I want you two to handle the chunin." With that said the battle began.

Minato was able to take down one of the jonin but was having trouble with the other two. He was anxious about Kakashi and Obito, but they seemed to be holding their own right now. It looked like they had taken down two chunin so far, but they were also getting tired. The battle was taking too long.

Rin was trying to work as fast as she could so that she could go and help her teammates fight off the enemy. The boy's wounds were critical though and she needed to make sure that he was stable first. Suddenly she felt a hand on her wrist that made her jump.

"Where am I?" The blonde she was healing was the one who spoke.

"We are about twelve kilometers from the Hidden Leaf Village. Wait! How are you awake?!" Rin could not believe her eyes. This boy shouldn't be awake, not with his injuries.

"There's fighting near us. What is happening?" Again the blonde spoke with a quiet voice, not really knowing what was going on.

"My teammates are fighting some enemy ninja just past this clearing..." Rin couldn't even finish before the boy was just gone. "What in the world was that?"

Minato could tell they were having a hard time against the enemy. They were tough and his team was low on chakra and energy after having just come from a mission and running all day. All of a sudden he felt a burst of chakra and turned to see the young boy from earlier taking out the last 3 remaining chunin like it was nothing, then in the blink of an eye he was next to him and he was finishing off the two other jonin that he had been fighting before. What the actual hell?! That was all Minato could think about. This kid just took out five high ranking ninjas in less than five minutes...

After finishing off the ninja the boy turned to face the ninja that had saved him, but what he saw left him speechless. Well shit...shit shit shit. That was all that would come to mind.

Minato, Kakashi, Obito and Rin were all staring at the boy who just took down five enemies like it was nothing with wide eyes and open mouths. They saw his eyes widen when he turned and it was then they noticed his blue eyes, so blue they rivaled Minato's. But he didn't say anything, he just stood there as if he had seen a ghost.

"Hey, are you okay?" Rin was the first to ask. She didn't have a chance to finish healing some of his more serious wounds and she could see fresh blood dripping them. The boy was still pale and still very very low on chakra. But the young boy didn't answer. He just continued to stare, until they saw his eyes roll to the back of his head and he started to fall.

Minato noticed the boy was about to pass out. He ran to catch him before his head hit the ground. "Hey kid!" He was feeling the desperate need to make sure this boy didn't die in his arms. "Kid, come on, wake up!" He was nearly yelling at this point. He was starting to freak out a little bit when the kid barely opened his eyes and groaned. "Hey, you're going to be okay. What's your name, kid?"

The blonde could barely comprehend what was being said to him, it took him a while to reply. "Naruto..." He only managed to get out one word before the world went black.
