"Hey Gramps!" Naruto greeted the Hokage as he stepped into his office. He knew he had a lot to talk to him about, and he needed his permission for what he wanted to do next.

"Ah, Naruto. What can I do for you?" The Hokage looked up at Naruto as he walked in.

"Gramps, I need your permission for a mission." Naruto began speaking. "I would like to go and bring Lord Orochimaru into custody."

The Hokage remembered when they had searched through Naruto's memories, and how much damage Orochimaru had done in the future. "I would have assumed you would want to kill him." He was genuinely interested in what Naruto would say.

"Well, I would have said yes before, but he did eventually turn back to our side, so I don't really have any hateful feelings towards him anymore. I just want to make sure he doesn't hurt anyone again."

The Hokage smiled at Naruto's determination. "You are a wonderful young man, Naruto. You have my permission to go."

"Thank you Gramps." Naruto smiled at the Hokage as he spoke. "But please, don't tell my dad anything."

"I won't tell him anything, but Naruto, you know you will have to tell him at some point. You telling him now is better than him finding out by himself."

Naruto dropped his eyes as he listened to the Hokage speak. "I know Gramps... I will, I promise. I just need more time."

The Hokage looked at Naruto with a knowing smile. "Then go before it's too late. I'm sure Minato will come here looking for you soon."

Naruto gave one last nod to the Hokage before he disappeared out the window. Alright I know that Orochimaru has a lab somewhere near the village. Now I just need to find it. Naruto made his way just outside of the village borders before stopping. He knew of a couple of his hideouts already. I guess I can start by searching those places first.

Naruto was slowly making his way through the forest, carefully concealing his chakra so that Orochimaru wouldn't sense it. This was the third hideout that he had been to, and he was sure this was the right one.

Man... why didn't I just ask Pervy Sage where he was ya know? It would've been so much easier. Naruto was thinking this to himself as he finally reached the entrance to the hideout. Naruto made his way inside, watching out for any traps that there may be. It took him quite a while to make his way through the many hallways of the hideout.

As Naruto got closer to the last room he could hear Orochimaru's disturbing voice. His voice is still just as creepy as ever. Naruto couldn't help but think this as he listened to Orochimaru talk. He could hear him talking about his experiments and the first Hokage, creating someone who could use Lord Hashirama's cells. That sounds like Yamato. He then heard something else that made his blood boil.

"I suppose Danzo is going to become rather troublesome. I need to have some good results for him when he comes back, otherwise he may tell the Third Hokage what I have been up to."

Naruto could tell he was talking to himself as he spoke. So he's already helping Danzo?! Naruto could barely contain the anger he was feeling. I knew Danzo was a slimy bastard, but I didn't know it went back this far.

When Naruto had heard enough, he snuck his way into the room behind Orochimaru, who seemed to be mixing chemicals at an operating table. "Now what is one of the Legendary Sannin doing here ya know?"

Orochimaru jumped as he heard the voice behind him. He turned to see a young teenage boy with an idiotic grin on his face. "Why, this is a surprise. I wasn't aware that anyone knew where I was."

Naruto could see Orochimaru getting into a fighting stance. "You don't want to fight me, Orochimaru." Naruto didn't really want to fight, but he entered his tailed beast state in order to stun Orochimaru.

"You have quite an incredible power. I would very much like to experiment with you." Orochimaru licked his lips as he looked at Naruto.

"You always were a freaky dude, ya know." Naruto got his scrolls ready as he prepared to seal up Orochimaru's chakra. "But I can't really let you keep hurting people, and I especially can't let you team up with that bastard Danzo."

Naruto could see Orochimaru was just about to attack, but before he could do anything Naruto disappeared, appearing right behind him. "Ya know, you're kind of a disappointment. I was thinking it would be harder to catch you."

Orochimaru was in the process of turning to face Naruto when we felt all of his strength leave his body. "What on earth did you do to me?!" He couldn't believe some young brat got behind him so quickly and was able to take him down without any problems. "What are you?"

Naruto just smiled at Orochimaru. "I'm Naruto, a shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village, and my power doesn't matter, all that matters is that you can't continue hurting innocent people." Naruto finished tying up Orochimaru so he couldn't move before bringing him outside. "Shadow clone jutsu." Naruto made two shadow clones who he instructed to bring Orochimaru back to the Leaf village prison in order to be interrogated.

"Now I want to look around and see what he was up to." Naruto went back into the hideout, making his way through the hallways, this time quicker now that he wasn't trying to be quiet. Naruto was following a faint trail of chakra through the maze of hallways. He was getting close to the source when he heard a small voice.

"Who are you?" A young boy with long brown hair and big black eyes stepped out of the shadows.

Naruto turned to see a younger version of the captain he knew. "I'm Naruto." He found it hard not to call him Captain Yamato. "I'm from the Leaf Village. I'm here to bring you home."

The young boy looked at Naruto in confusion. "I don't have a home."

"You do now Yamato." Naruto extended his hand towards the young boy in front of him.

It took a little while before Yamato took Naruto's hand. He didn't really know if he should trust him, but after being caged up with Orochimaru and being experimented on, he figured anywhere was better than here. "Who's Yamato?"

"That's your name now." Naruto felt nostalgic looking at the younger version of Yamato. He didn't really know what to say to him.

"So what is going to happen to me when we get there?" Yamato was a little nervous that they would cage him up too.

"Well, I'm going to bring you to the Lord Third Hokage and he'll work with you on the next step." Naruto figured he would end up being put in the ANBU just like before, but he didn't want to say anything.

When Naruto got back to the village with Yamato, he immediately took him to the Hokage's office.

"Come in."

"Hey Gramps! Long time no see!" Naruto entered with a huge smile as he escorted Yamato into the room.

"Naruto, I got your delivery not too long ago. It seems you accomplished your mission quicker than I thought you would." He seemed impressed that Naruto could take down someone so strong so fast.

"Well it took me a while to find the right hideout ya know. But after that, instead of using force to fight him, I just quickly put a seal on him. That way he couldn't use his freaky jutsu techniques." Naruto just shrugged as he answered. "Anyway Gramps, this is Yamato. He was an experiment of Orochimaru."

The Hokage didn't need any further explanations from Naruto. He knew who Yamato was from Naruto's memories. "I see, very well then. I'll take it from here Naruto."

Naruto nodded his agreement. "Thanks Gramps. I'll see you later ya know!" With that Naruto released his jutsu and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Of course he was using a shadow clone. That Naruto really is a comedian. The Hokage thought this as he watched Naruto disappear with a small smile.

"Oh man, Orochimaru really wasn't as powerful as I thought he would be. I guess he hasn't had all those years of experience he had when I fought him." Naruto finished watching the memory play out as he thought about the time he was from. "Yamato changed a lot too. He wasn't as emotionless as he was when he was younger. He was under Danzo's influence for a while though, so it can't really be helped."

The window slowly turned black once again once Naruto had made it through all of the memories. He looked around himself and found that he was once again all alone.

"Kurama?! You there?!" Naruto tried calling out to Kurama, but didn't get any reply. Seriously? I can't even contact Kurama?

Naruto continued walking through the darkness until he started getting tired. He knew that there wasn't much he could do until he woke up. Man, being unconscious is so boring ya know. But I can feel my chakra and how little I have. I know it is going to be a while.

After what felt like hours of walking, Naruto noticed that it was starting to get lighter. He could see farther in front of him. Wait... I know this place...

Naruto found himself in an open field. It wasn't like his mindscape where there were flowers everywhere. Here there was just grass and dirt, but in the distance he could see three stumps sticking out of the ground. This is the training grounds. Naruto's mind flashed back to when his team first tried to take the bells from Kakashi and he got tied to the stump because he tried to eat without everyone.

"Oh man... I was such an idiot." Naruto was laughing at himself as he went and sat on the ground next to the middle stump. "But I learned a lot of great lessons too."

Naruto's mind drifted to memories that he had of his Team 7, with Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi. He had a small smile on his face as he thought about how he and Sasuke would fight all the time and compete at everything, even eating. He thought about Kakashi and all the training he did with him. He remembered how much Kakashi believed in him, and he remembered the first time he saw how strong Sakura was when she punched the ground and it scared the life out of him.

Naruto continued to think of past memories, and to his surprise, they were all happy. He hadn't felt so good in a long time. Some were of all eleven of his friends going to the bathhouse together, or when he finally met his mom and dad and especially when he confessed his love for Hinata. Oh man, we were both so red in the face that time. We were both so nervous that when we tried to kiss we ended up bumping noses.

Naruto laughed as he continued to play through old memories, ones he thought he had forgotten, and others he knew he never wanted to forget. It's peaceful here, I might as well stay for a while. Finally feeling at peace, and wanting to stay that way, Naruto let his mind rest, and he fell asleep with a smile on his face.
