Kakashi and Rin watched as Naruto healed Obito. "You know how to do medical ninjutsu?" Rin spoke up in awe as she watched.

"Oh, well, just a little ya know." Naruto spoke up after taking his hands away from Obito. "Mostly it's because of the state I'm in right now." He was referring to the Six Paths Sage mode he was currently in.

"Well, either way, thank you." Rin had a smile on her face. She was glad to see Obito was alive. "How long until he wakes up?"

"He should be waking up here pretty soon. So don't worry." Naruto gave Rin a huge smile as he glanced over at Kakashi. He could sense that the panic and guilt he was feeling was being replaced with relief and happiness. "It's different when you see a comrade fall isn't it little brother?" Naruto spoke directly to Kakashi.

Kakashi looked up at Naruto and sighed. "Yeah, it is. You were right, Naruto." He let his gaze shift to the side as he spoke.

Naruto let Kakashi dwell in his own thoughts as he turned his attention back to Obito. "Hey, Obito, wake up." He shook Obito slightly by his shoulder. He knew they needed to get out of there. When Obito didn't wake up, Naruto pulled him onto his back to carry him away. "Come on, we have to get out of here." He motioned for Kakashi and Rin to follow him.

When Naruto felt that they were a safe distance away, he finally set Obito down and turned towards Kakashi and Rin. "I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner."

"Don't be sorry. You showed up at the perfect time."

Everyone turned towards the voice that spoke up and saw Obito pushing himself up into a sitting position. Naruto helped him finish sitting up.

"How are you feeling?" Naruto asked Obito.

"I'm fine. My head just hurts a little." Obito was holding his head when he suddenly remembered what had happened and his eyes shot wide open. "Wait! How are Rin and Kakashi!"

Naruto felt Obito's panic rising so he calmly spoke up. "Don't worry Obito, they're both here and both are safe." He held a comforting hand on Obito's shoulder.

"That's really good." Obito finally looked away from Naruto and noticed Rin and Kakashi standing a ways off to the side. Rin had tears in her eyes and was smiling at him, while Kakashi did everything he could to not look at him.

Naruto shook his head at Kakashi's reaction. "They were both very worried about you ya know." Naruto smiled at Kakashi as he received a glare in return.

"Really?" Obito looked at Naruto astonished by what he said before turning back to look at Rin and Kakashi. "Kakashi, you?" He didn't know how to finish his sentence, so he left the unspoken question hanging in the air.

Kakashi stayed silent for a while, not knowing how to answer. It was only when he felt a tear fall from his eye that he began to speak. "Yeah, I was worried." He paused as he wiped his eye, then met Obito's gaze with conviction. "I'm so sorry Obito. I should have listened to you."

"Don't worry Kakashi." Obito smiled at his friend. "I'm just glad we are all here together." Obito looked at everyone until his eye fell on the bandage that Kakashi had around his face, and he brought his hand up to his own eye. "Come to think of it, I never did give you a gift for becoming jonin did I." Kakashi, Naruto and Rin all looked at Obito in surprise as he spoke. "Kakashi. I want to give you my sharingan."

Naruto instantly made eye contact with Obito. "You what?" He never imagined that this would happen by saving Obito. "But Obito, I can heal his eye, it's no problem." Naruto didn't want to admit that he wanted Kakashi to have the sharingan, but he didn't know why Obito would give it to him.

"He lost his eye saving me, because I was being useless like I always am. This sharingan helped me save him in return. I want to give it to him as a thank you." He had a small smile on his face as he spoke to Kakashi. "And as a sign of friendship."

Kakashi was utterly speechless at what Obito said. All he could do was stare at Obito, baffled by his confession of friendship, and wanting to give him his eye. "But Obito, I'm the reason you got hurt."

Obito ignored Kakashi's comment and turned to Rin. "Can you use your medical ninjutsu to give Kakashi my eye?"

Rin was about to say yes when she turned to Naruto. "Shouldn't you be the one to do it?"

"No, this is for you to do." Naruto smiled at the exchange between the friends. Maybe things will be okay after all.

Despite Kakashi saying he didn't need it, Obito did end up giving Kakashi his eye. He was glad to finally be doing something useful.

"Obito." Naruto called him over after everything was finished.

"What is it, Naruto?"

"Let me heal your eye." Naruto put his right hand up in front of Obito's left eye. Closing his own eyes, he concentrated on what to do. It was the same thing he had done for Kakashi in the future. When he finally lifted his hand away he spoke up again. "Alright, open your eye now."

When Obito opened his eye again he couldn't believe what had happened. "What did you just do? That should be impossible."

"Well, it's a special power that I have, but I can't use it all of the time ya know. The main thing is that everything is okay now."

Kakashi and Obito looked at each other again. Obito noticed the active sharingan in Kakashi's left eye, and he himself noticed that he could still use the sharingan in both eyes. Without any words between the two of them, they nodded in understanding that things were indeed going to be okay.

"Alright, we need to make our way to Kannabi Bridge. We've lost too much time already." At Naruto's reminder they all stood up and started running towards their final mission.

Just as they were about to reach the bridge they met up with Minato once again.

"It's good to see everyone is okay." Minato glanced at the four other members of his team. It was only after glancing between them that he noticed that Kakashi now had a sharingan in his left eye, and a scar that ran from his cheek to his brow. But Obito still has both eyes? What happened? He turned to ask Naruto, but the boy shook his head so Minato figured it was a story best saved for later.

"Minato, what is the plan here?" Naruto needed to know how they were planning on destroying the bridge.

"Right, let me explain." Minato began explaining what the others had missed. "We have two different squads prepared. I will lead the first one to go head on with the enemy. This will be a distraction as Naruto works with Captain Asahi to lead the second platoon behind the enemy so we can box them in. When both groups are in position, a small group will break off from both squads during the confusion and they will be the ones to destroy the bridge."

The members of Team Minato were listening intently to the instructions that Minato was giving. Kakashi, and Obito were going to be in the first group with Minato and Rin, since she is a medical shinobi, would go with Naruto in the second group.

I have a bad feeling about this for some reason... Naruto knew to trust his instincts, but he couldn't think of why he had a bad feeling to begin with. I'm going to have to be extra watchful during the battle. He knew that they had won the battle once before, so why couldn't they do it again, and this time they had Obito with them.

"Naruto? Did you hear me?" Minato called out to Naruto.

"Huh? What?" Naruto looked up with a confused expression.

"Geez, can you be any more of an idiot?" Kakashi couldn't believe a strong ninja like Naruto couldn't even pay attention.

"Oh, yeah sorry. I was lost in thought, ya know." Naruto laughed, a little flustered as he scratched the back of his head.

Minato just shook his head, amused at the boy's antics. He reminds me so much of Kushina. She gets distracted too. "Naruto, we will be leaving in five minutes."

"Got it." Naruto nodded, showing he understood the orders.

When their five minutes of rest were over the five team members got ready to split up into their two groups.

"Minato? Obito? Kakashi?" Just as they were about to leave, Naruto called out to the other three members of his team.

"What's up, Naruto?" Minato was the one to answer.

"Promise me you guys will be careful." Naruto had a pleading look in his eyes. It showed a certain vulnerability that Minato recognized from when he had left earlier and told him not to die.

"We promise Naruto." Minato nodded and smiled at Naruto, hoping to set his worries at ease. Minato knew that they had a tough fight ahead of them but he believed in his team.

"Thank you." Naruto smiled at his dad as he watched them run off in the direction of the first group. Don't die, please! Naruto thought to himself as he turned towards Rin. "Alright Rin, let's get going. We don't want to be late ya know." Naruto and Rin both ran off in the opposite direction than their other three comrades and ran towards the second battle platoon, ready to fight.
