Minato didn't even wait for his students before he was on his feet and running as fast as he could towards where he could sense the chakra coming from. "Please be okay, Naruto!"

When Minato finally arrived at the spot in the woods, what he saw made his eyes widen and his jaw drop. Naruto was hunched over on the ground and Minato could tell that he was having a hard time breathing. The air was swirling around him at extreme speed, gold chakra was tracing a circle in the ground around him and rising towards the sky. This amount of chakra is unheard of! And it's gold! Minato was awestruck. No wonder he said he normally suppresses it. This is intense, even for me... And I'm married to Kushina.

As Minato was watching Naruto, trying to figure out how to reach him, he suddenly felt more unknown chakra signatures making their way towards them. He could tell that there were at least twelve of them. This is not good. Minato was only able to get a couple steps closer to Naruto when the others showed up.

"What are you Leaf brats doing here?" The man that spoke was a large, muscular man. He had large weights around each wrist and a lightning tattoo on his right bicep.

"Judging by your appearance, you must be the cloud shinobi known as A. Am I wrong?" Minato spoke directly to the man, all the while inching closer towards Naruto.

"It seems you know who I am. That makes little difference, since we are going to kill you now." A spoke to the other shinobi around him, though almost all of them were looking at Minato in horror.

"Sir, that's the Yellow Flash of the Leaf! We have been given orders to flee on sight if we encounter him." One brave ninja spoke up from the group, earning a cold glare from A.

"I don't care who he is, there are twelve of us and only one of them is in fighting condition. The other was lucky enough to get caught in our trap." A was casting a devilish smile towards the young boy who was on the ground.

"What did you do to Naruto?" Minato was more worried about his companion than anything else.

"We made a trap in the woods here that anyone who entered with a strong enough chakra would be stuck in a genjutsu, he is probably living in his worst nightmare right about now."

"What?!" Minato was terrified at the news. No no no no! His worst nightmare could be something really bad! Minato pulled out his flying raijin kunai to get ready to teleport to Naruto's side, but in just the blink of an eye, he found himself face to face with A. He's fast! Minato barely managed to dodge the attack in time, but it took him farther from Naruto. "Naruto! Wake up!" He knew it probably wouldn't work, but he had to try. It was the only option left.

A was laughing maniacally now. "You can't wake him up. This was a trap designed to be unbreakable."

Naruto could barely hear his name being called over the beating of his own heart. Who was that? The voice sounded familiar but he couldn't think hard enough to place who it belonged to. Naruto was staring at a scene he never wanted to see again. "NO!" He yelled as loud as he could, but no one could hear him.

He was in the war again. He was watching as his friends fell one after the other. He was paralyzed with fear. He couldn't stop shaking and tears fell uncontrollably from his eyes. He watched when Madara chained him up to watch as he tortured those he loved right in front of him just for the sick pleasure of it. "No stop! Please!" He felt like a child who needed saving.

"...to..."

Naruto turned to a new sound.

"...ar...to..."

What is it saying? He thought to himself.

"NARUTO!!!"

"Dad." Like a spell had been lifted off of him Naruto's eyes flung open. His chakra was spinning out of control, but more importantly he could feel the chakra of twelve enemy shinobi and his dad's chakra among them. "Dad..." He quietly whispered this to himself as he stood up. He was angry now, more angry than he had felt in a while. What he heard next made him snap.

"I can't wait to take your head back to the Cloud, Yellow Flash." A was throwing punch after punch at Minato, who barely managed to dodge each one, until he noticed Naruto's chakra change slightly. It distracted him long enough that A finally got a hit in, sending Minato flying thirty feet in the opposite direction until he slammed into a tree with extreme force.

Naruto watched as his dad got sent flying into a tree. NO! No sooner had he thought this, he let the suppression on his chakra fully go and let an extreme killing intent flow through the area he was in. "How DARE you!"

Every eye in the forest turned to look at the boy who had managed to escape the genjutsu trap. His chakra was so powerful it nearly brought everyone to their knees. Even A could feel the killing intent that was seeped through every molecule around them. B, who had been watching the fight ensue, recognized the young boy as the one he had met the previous night.

"I REALLY don't like killing, but if you guys don't leave RIGHT now, I will not hesitate to dispose of all of you." Naruto was livid. He was sick of seeing those close to him get hurt. Especially by those he once called comrades.

Ten of the shinobi were trembling so hard they couldn't move. A was glaring at the boy like he was worth even less than the mud on his shoes. "You stupid fools, don't let this, BOY, scare you. You are shinobi of the Cloud, you are better than he is!"

At the command of their leader the shinobi all ran to attack Naruto at the same time. They figured that if they all attacked, he wouldn't have the option to defend himself. But when they got to him, they were proven to be very wrong.

Naruto could sense that they were going to attack and got himself into his fighting stance, ready to attack. He knew that with his dad around he could only use taijutsu. He ended up taking down three of them before the others could even realize what was going on. Alright, three down and seven to go.

Ow... Minato was trying to stand up after getting thrown into the tree. "Man... that was a good punch." Minato then noticed the sound of fighting from where he had just been. He looked over to see Naruto fighting off ten of the cloud ninja all by himself. "I've got to help him!" Minato was still trying to move when he heard Naruto yell at him.

"Minato! You stay there! I'll be okay!" He was talking while still focusing on his fight. Minato couldn't deny that Naruto was handling himself really well.

I'm in no condition to fight anyways I guess. Minato was thinking this to himself as he just relaxed back against the tree. He watched as Naruto took down each and every ninja that was trying to attack him. Wow, he's using only taijutsu. He's really good!

Naruto finished off the last of the ninja and turned to face Killer B and A.

"How dare you--" A was furious, but was cut off by Naruto.

"Now. You guys are in the Land of Fire. You are the ones trespassing here. Leave and go back to your own land with your dignity before things get worse."

"I think we should listen to him, my brother." Killer B spoke up for the first time. He was looking at Naruto with interest.

"What?! How could you say that B?! He just took down ten cloud shinobi!" A could barely contain the anger he was feeling at that moment.

"I like this kid. He's got guts!" A could tell B was serious because he wasn't rhyming anymore. "Plus he is correct, my brother. We are the ones in their land. He had every right to attack." B nodded to Naruto, who nodded back.

"Fine." A started to speak, noting that B was right but not wanting to admit it. "But mark my words, boy! The next time we meet, it won't be a friendly one."

Yeah, you were never friendly to begin with. That was all Naruto could think as he mentally rolled his eyes at A's comment. He then noticed Killer B coming towards him.

"That was a gutsy move my homie, Naruto!" Killer B put his fist out for Naruto.

"Ha! Yeah. But I don't ever give up, ya know!" Naruto bumped his fist against Killer B and they then parted with a small smile.

Naruto watched as A and Killer B gathered up the other shinobi, who Naruto had left injured but alive. Only after they had disappeared did Naruto relax, before remembering about his dad. "Minato!" He ran over to where his dad was. "Hey, are you okay?!"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little bruised." He tried to stand up to show he was okay, but he was hit with a stabbing pain in his leg and side. "Argh" Minato started to fall back down but was caught by Naruto.

"Oh yeah, you're totally fine, old man." Naruto rolled his eyes as he half carried Minato back to the village.

"Hey! Who are you calling old? I'm not that much older than you kid!" Minato was glad for the lighthearted conversation.

"Ha! You're still old to me." Naruto couldn't help but feel sassy. He was just glad that his dad was okay.

When Naruto got Minato back to his room at the inn he began healing him.

"You know medical ninjutsu?" Minato was surprised. He didn't know that Naruto had that ability.

"Well, yeah. I'm not super good at it though, and it takes a lot of concentration. But my friend taught me." Naruto had a slight sad smile on his face as he thought of Sakura. Though he also didn't want to mention that part of it was from the power the Sage of Six Paths had given him.

"Well thank you." Minato let Naruto heal him. Just when Naruto was finishing up, Kakashi, Rin and Obito walked into the room.

"Sensei, Naruto! Are you guys okay?!" Obito was the first one to speak up.

"Yeah, we're both okay." Naruto spoke before Minato could say anything. He didn't want him to say anything about what happened with that genjutsu.

"Yes, we are. And we will be headed back home in the morning." Minato decided not to say anything about Naruto. "The cloud ninja we were supposed to be tracking have all left back to the Land of Lightning. So our mission is over now." Minato didn't give any specific details, but he figured they didn't need to know.

After some more arguing from Kakashi about not knowing anything, and Rin being worried, they all disappeared to their own rooms.

Kakashi was about to fall asleep when he noticed that Naruto hadn't come back to the room yet. "This guy is so irresponsible." He was frustrated that Naruto didn't seem to care about actually completing anything.

Naruto was standing outside his window listening to Kakashi complain about him. Oh man... he really is different as a kid huh? Naruto was laughing to himself as he thought of Kakashi throwing a fit. Oh well. He'll change eventually.

They were all getting ready to set out the next morning when Minato noticed the shadows under Naruto's eyes. He must have stayed up all night again... Minato sighed, because he knew there was nothing in particular that he could do for him. I guess I'll just have to keep an eye on him on the way home.

Over the next couple of days Minato kept a close watch on Naruto. He noted that Naruto was always the one to keep watch at night and that he never slept. During the day he was quiet, seemingly lost in his own thoughts and he only ate a little bit. That genjutsu must have done more than he is letting on... Minato was trying to find a reason as to why Naruto was acting the way he was. He is normally so happy, but now it's like he is feeling no emotion at all, which makes it worse.

It wasn't long before Team Minato reached the gates of the Leaf Village. Naruto seemed to instantly brighten at the sight.

"Oh man, I missed this place! Time to get some Ichiraku Ramen!" He had a wide smile on his face as he looked at the village.

"How about we all go together then?" Minato was so glad that Naruto wanted to eat.

"As long as I get ramen I don't care who comes!" Naruto was already running off towards the Ramen shop.

All five of them were eating ramen together when Obito spoke up. "So what happened during the mission? Why did they leave so suddenly?"

Naruto stiffened just slightly. "Nothing much. We just told them to get lost." Naruto shrugged before getting ready to leave.

"Why don't you stay a little longer, Naruto?" Minato didn't want Naruto to be alone. He didn't know what would happen.

"Nah, it's okay. I'll go report on the mission to Gramps." Naruto was just about to walk away when a blur all of a sudden rushed past and Minato was tackled to the ground. When Naruto looked at who it was he couldn't believe his eyes.
