These are thoughts

Mizuki pov.
I wake up and I get ready. I leave my crutches in my room, and I go downstairs.

"Where are you're crutches?" He asks me.

I shrug. "I don't need them. My ankle feels fine."

He sighs. "Fine, just be careful. You can pick up a snack at the store, let's go now."

I follow him to the car, and we go to the store.

I help organize a few things, and take some food as well.

"I'm gonna go now, see you later!" I call to my brother and i leave for school.

I see Yachi just arriving at school.

"Hey Toka!" I call her and wave.

"Hi Zuki!" Yachi smiles and waves back.

She points to my foot. "Is it feeling better?"

I nod. "Yup! It doesn't hurt as much anymore."

We start walking to class.

"Toka, you're not in a club yet, right?" I ask her.

"Ya. I'm not sure what to do yet."

"What if you became the manager for our team? Shimizu Kiyoko, who is our current manager, is graduating this year. She's looking for someone else to take her place, so what if you did?"

"Ummmm, I'm not sure..." She says in thought.

"Would you consider it? I can introduce you to Kiko today, if you want."

Yachi nods. "Sure! Maybe I can become the manager. But I donno if I'm suited for it. I don't know much about volleyball..."

"I'll help you out! You can always ask me if you need anything."

"O-okay! Can I meet her, Shimizu-san right? Could I meet her today?"

I get a big smile on my face. "Of course! Maybe during lunch!"

Yachi nods, and we go to class.

When the teacher isn't looking, I quickly ask Kiyoko if she could come to meet Yachi by text.

After a few minutes, she responds saying that she can.

The bell rings, and lunch starts. I wait outside the class waiting for Kiyoko.

"Woah, who's she?" "Maybe a third year?" "She's so pretty..."

I hear a few people saying, and I see Kiyoko coming.

"Kiko!" I smile and jog to her.

"Wait, Mizuki knows her?" "How?"

"Hello Zuki." Kiyoko smiles and greets me.

I take her hand. "My friend is over here, I'll introduce you!"

I go into the class and to Yachi, pulling Kiyoko with me.

"Toka! This is Shimizu Kiyoko. Kiko, this is Yachi Hitoka!"

"Nice to meet you, Yachi." Kiyoko waves to her.

"N-nice to m-meet you too!" Yachi responds, a bit jumpy.

I put my hand on her shoulder. "Relax Toka! Kiko is amazing, you don't have to worry!"

Yachi nods.

"So, would you be interested in becoming the boys volleyball manager?" Kiyoko asks Yachi.

"Ummmm..."

I smile and give her a thumbs up.

"M-maybe I can try it out!" Yachi exclaims.

"Great! I can give you the forms later on today." Kiyoko says.

"Okay!"

Kiyoko starts to leave.

"See you later Kiko!" I wave to her.

"See you, Zuki!"

After that, Yachi and I talk and eat.

Then, classes continue, and suddenly it was the end of the school day.

I leave Yachi, and I go to the gym.

I quickly change into shorts and a tshirt, and I see some of the team waiting.

"Hey guys!" I jog to them. "Where are the others?"

"In the clubroom right now." Ennoshita says.

"Hey, is your ankle feeling better?" Asahi asks me.

"Yup! I don't need the crutches anymore, and I don't think I need the cast as well, but whatever."

"You should keep the cast on for now. Just in case." Daichi says to me.

"Ya, I know I know. Let's get the others."

We go to the club room, and Daichi opens the door.

"Get out of here already, we're going for a run!" He says.

"Hey guys, Ushiwaka is in the Youth World." Suga says to us.

"Youth World? What's that?" I ask.

"He's representing Japan in the under 19 year old group." Daichi tells me.

My eyes get big.

He's already playing there? That's amazing! Wait, that would be Ushijima Wakatoshi right? The name sounds familiar, but I donno why...

"Alright everybody, let's go running!" Daichi yells.

"Yes sir!"

I quickly take off my cast and keep it in the club room. We go outside to the bottom of a path of a hill.

"This is the famous Heartbreak Hill." Tanaka says.

"Everyone! Run in a pair, ten dashes up the hill to the halfway mark!"

We line up. I stand beside Asahi.

"You're ankle is okay to run?" He asks me.

"Ya, I'll be fine."

Asahi and I get to the front of the line.

"Ready... Go!" Daichi claps, and we start running.

I sprint past Asahi, and past Yamaguchi and Tsukishima.

I see Tanaka and Ennoshita running infront of me.

I'll scare them. Hehehe

I quietly run up to them, and I jump on Ennoshita.

"Boo!" I yell.

"Ah! Mizuki!" Ennoshita stops.

"C'mon Enno!" I run past him, and he tries to catch up.

I see Tanaka trying to catch his breath on the side, so I stop beside him.

"How...did...you get here...that fast?" Tanaka asks me between breaths.

"And how...aren't you tired?" Enno catches up.

I shrug.

"Donno. I like running, I guess?"

I see Yamaguchi coming, and the Tsukishima.

"Hey guys!"

Yamaguchi smiles and waves, and Tsukishima nods.

Then, I hear yelling coming up the hill. I sweatdrop.

Is that-

Hinata and Kageyama run past us and continue up the hill.

"Where are you going?!" Tanaka yells, but they don't hear.

"I think we can let them go." Tsukishima says.

I sigh. "I'm gonna go after them. Tell captain and Keishi-nii that I'm going."

"Wait-!"

I run up the hill before they can say otherwise.

I follow the yells, until they suddenly stop. So I stop.

What happened?

I look back, and I'm already kinda far from the others.

Might as well just keep going forward. I'll keep a look out if they're anywhere else.

I jog forward, and I look around. I don't see them anywhere.

I stop at an intersection.

Where the hell did they go?

I look at the street name.

Wakano 3-chrome

Wait, didn't Keishin say that that school was near Wakano? Shiratorizawa, right?

I look around to see if I can spot the two anywhere. They're nowhere to be found. I sigh.

I'm sure they know that the school is here. They most likely went there. If they aren't then...I'll figure that out later.

Wait where is Shiratorizawa?

I quickly drop by the store in the side and ask for directions.

Then, I continue to run to Shiratorizawa.

When I get there, I see a big gate with an eagle on the side.

I walk in, and see a bunch of buildings.

Woah! Shiratorizawa is huge!

I jog forward, and I see signs for directions.

It's this big? Anyways, I'm gonna assume that they're at the volleyball gym...

I follow the signs, and I also hear some people talking about me.

I ignore them, and I continue to look. Then, I hear some people talking near the gym.

Maybe they're over there.

I walk to the voices.

"Everyone except Oikawa at Aoba Johsai is weak." I hear when I get there.

I freeze.

EXCUSE ME?

I walk up to the boy, pissed.

"Hey! Don't you dare say they the members of Seijoh are weak! They are all amazing at volleyball!"

The boy looks down at me, glaring. I glare back.

"Oikawa can bring out the best of his team." He says. "He can make their best the strongest powerful."

"But he can't do that alone! Yes, he's an amazing setter, maybe the best here, but the rest of the team is amazing too! Sure, the setter controls where the ball goes, but the rest of the team also keeps the ball in play and are the ones who do most of the attacks, so they are just as good!"

"Mi-Mizuki?" I turn around and I see Hinata and Kageyama, looking at me in shock.

I sigh and walk to them.

"There you are! Why the hell did you run all the way here? I was looking for you."

"Um, Zuki, do you know who you're talking to?" Hinata asks me.

I tilt my head, confused.

"That's Ushiwaka." He points to the boy.

I turn back to the boy, and glare.

"So you're the famous Ushijima Wakatoshi." I say sarcastically.

"Yes I am." The boy responds. "I apologize if I hit a nerve, but the words of a person who couldn't even stay in the prefectural finals means nothing to me."

I glare at him, and then a volleyball bounces outside.

Ushijima jumps to get the ball. I quickly run and jump infront of him.

I catch the ball, and I land with the ball in my hands.

I stand and turn to Ushijima.

"I thought I knew you, since your name sounded familiar." I say as I walk to him. "But I don't think I'd remember someone as rude as you."

I hand the ball to him.

"I'm Ukai Mizuki, but it's Ukai to you. I'm from Karasuno, and we're going to beat you and go to the nationals."

I start walking away. "Let's go you guys. We have to go back."

"You are the Falcon, aren't you." I hear Ushijima say.

"How many times do I have to freaking say this? I'm not the Falcon anymore, and never will be!" I yell, frustrated.

"Hey are you student from another school?" A teacher passes by and says to me, Hinata and Kageyama. "You shouldn't be here!"

"We were just leaving, sensei." I say to him.

I bow to Ushijima. "If you'll excuse us, we'll be leaving now."

I walk away. Hinata and Kageyama bow as well. We leave the Shiratorizawa and we run back to Karasuno.

Ushijima pov.
I stand there with the volleyball in my hands, watching the trio leave.

That girl... her name was Ukai Mizuki? Do I know her? She looks familiar...

Then I realize.

She's that girl I met at the farm! She told me that she was leaving for Canada...was she lying? Or maybe she came back.

I grip the ball with both of my hands.

Ukai Mizuki. Shoyo Hinata. Tobio Kageyama. You won't be taking the spot to the nationals.
