These are thoughts

Mizuki pov.
I lean against the wall of the gym outside.

I put in one of my earbuds and I listen to music while I wait.

Is this the real life~

Or is this just fantasy~

Caught in a landslide~

No escape from reality~

Open your eyes~

Look up to the skies and see~

I'm just a poor boy~

No need for sympathy~

Because I'm easy come, easy go~

Little high, little low~

I see some of the boys coming back.

"Hey guys, I'll wait for the others to finish!" I say to them, and they nod.

They leave first and I wait for the others.

Any way the wind blows~

Doesn't really matter to me~

More of the team pass by.

Only Kei is left...I guess I'll wait for him.

After a minute or two, he finally comes out.

"Keikei!" I yell at him. "You're the last one! What took you so long?"

He ignores me.

"Are you coming or not?" He asks and I sigh.

Rude.

I walk down the hill with him.

I see Kei looking at me curiously.

"Yes?"

"...nothing." He responds to me.

"C'mon! What is it?"

"...what song are you listening to?"

"Oh! Bohemian Rhapsody. Really good song."

He nods.

"What do you listen to?" I ask him.

"...none of your business."

"Seriously?! Why cant you tell me?"

He ignores me.

I jump on his back.

"Hey! What the hell?!" He tells at me.

"You're giving me a ride down." I say to him.

He tries to shake me off, but gives up eventually.

"...fine"

I smile.

"Hey Tsukishima, Mizuki! Daichi bought meat buns for us." Tanaka says to us when we meet them down.

"Get off of me Mizuki."

I roll my eyes. "Fine."

I get down, and I take a bun.

Hinata pokes me on my shoulder.

"Yes Sho?"

"How did you get Tsukishima to give you a piggyback ride?" He whispers to me.

I laugh and shrug.

"No idea. Anyways, where Keishin?"

Asahi points to the store.

"Ok. See you guys tomorrow!"

"Bye Mizuki!" The team says and I go in the store.

"Hey Keishi-nii. When are we going back home?"

"In a few minutes. I have to put some stuff out." He says to me.

I sit at the table and start my homework.

I see the team leave to go home. Then, after 20 minutes, Keishin is done sorting everything out.

We go home, and we quickly eat dinner. Then, I go to my room, take shower and change.

Then I fall asleep.

Tike skip to the next day

The next day, at the end of the day, and the start or practice, I got my uniform.

"WOAHHHHHH!" I yell in awe as I hold the uniform up in the air looking at it.

"That's going to be you're uniform for the tournament." Kiyoko says to me.

"COOOOOOOOL!" I yell again, enthusiastically. My eyes start sparkling.

"Woah!" Hinata looks at the uniform.

"Ya, I know right!" I laugh.

I hear someone snicker.

"Jeez, you're so childish." Tsukishima smirks.

I turn to him. "SHUT UP!"

I look at the uniform again.

It was more like the girls uniform, but orange and black. I was number 13 now.

So we started practice again.

Every day after that, we practiced and practiced.

We did a bunch of drills, and learned new attacks too.

I learned to do fast attacks with Kageyama and Suga, and me and the others did new attacks. Kageyama and I also made few signals for some attacks.

I finally got eight high spikes in a row, so hopefully I'll be able to do more in a match.

I also told everybody why I stopped playing volleyball, basically what I told Kiyoko. I also told them about how I knew Aoba Johsai, since I said that I'll tell them before.

I became closer friends with the team too. Which is cool.

One day, Kiyoko asks me to help her with something.

"Hey Kiko! What's up?"

"Come over here. I would like to show you something."

She walks to a room, and I follow.

I see a black cloth thingy folded on the table.

"What's this?" I ask Kiyoko, curious.

"Help me unfold it."

We unfold it and I finally see the whole thing.

It was a banner that said Fly in the middle.

"Woah! I didn't know we had a banner here!" I say.

"Ya. I'm gonna surprise the team with it."

She looks down shyly at me.

"I wanna support them as much as I can. I'm no good at cheering though..."

"I'll help you out then!" I smile and hug her.

She nods and hugs back. "Thanks Zuki."

"No problem Kiko!"

Time skip
~~~

It's the day before the inter-high preliminaries.

We are all gathered around Takeda and Keishin after we're done practice.

"Go home and sleep early tonight." Keishin says.

"Yes sir!"

"And that's it for today."

"Wait!" I yell.

Everyone looks at me, curious.

I run up to Kiyoko and I link my arm with hers.

"You can do it Kiko!" I whisper to her.

The team watches us.

"I'm not good at cheering, but..."

I let go of Kiyoko, and I take the banner up.

"I can do it Zuki."

"Don't worry, I got it." I say to her.

We go up the ladder and we lay out the banner.

The team keeps watching us, wondering what we're doing.

"What's going on?" Nishinoya asks.

We spread out the banner. Then Kiyoko counts,

"One, two, three!"

We hang the banner up from the railing. Then, we hook it up.

The boys look at us in awe.

"I didn't know we had that!" Someone says.

"I found it and I washed it." Kiyoko says.

"I'm getting fired up!" Tanaka and Nishinoya yell.

"WAIT!"  I yell at them. "She's not done yet!"

They all look at her.

She looks at me, a bit shy.

I smile and give her a thumbs up.

Kiyoko smailes and turns back to the team.

"Do..."

"Do your best." She says.

The gym gets quiet.

She runs to me, and we go down the ladder.

The boys keep staring at the banner.

Then, Daichi, Suga, Nishinoya, Asahi and Tanaka start crying.

"No one has ever done this for us!" They cry.

I stay by Kiyoko's side, and I smile.

"You totally hyped them up, Kiko!" I say as they keep crying and scream other stuff.

She smiles and blushes.

"Ya..."

After that, we all change and go home and sleep early.

I'm so excited! I wonder how good our opponents will be...this should be fun!

Then, I fall asleep, waiting for tomorrow to start.

A/N I know in the cover picture the uniform is black and white, and it's number 0. I might change it later on, but for now I'm just gonna keep it.

But Mizuki's uniform is orange and black, and she is number 13.
