These are thoughts

Mizuki pov.
We continued the set. I started to get more points too.

But since I didn't practice for a really long time, my stamina got low fast.

After I did a high spike, I was out of breath.

Jeez, this is taking more energy than I though...

The game continued. I started dozing out a bit too, which sucked.

21-23, Nekoma

Dammit, they're winning. We gotta get more points...

Kuroo gets the ball, and serves. Daichi receives it, and it goes to Kageyama.

"Kags, high!" I call him.

This is the fourth one...

He sets it to me high, and I run up to it and I jump.

I was above the blockers, and I spike it half strength again, for the fifth time. It hits the ground on the back line.

We get a point.

But when I land, my legs crumble.

"Oof!" I fall.

The others rush to me.

"Are you ok Mizuki?" Daichi asks.

"Ow... ya I'm fine. Can you help me up?"

Asahi extends his hands, and I take them he pulls me up, but then I stumble a bit.

Stupid legs.

"Thanks Asahi!" I smile and he blushes.

"Do you think you can finish the match?"

I look at the score.

22-23, Nekoma

I nod. "Ya. Let's finish and win this set."

"Ya, we don't want you to help Nekoma now do we?" Tsukishima says.

"Don't be mean to them Keikei! But ya."

They nod, and we go back to our spots.

I don't think I can do anymore high spikes. And I think Nekoma knows that I'm tired too...

Asahi gets the ball and serves, and their libero receives it. It goes it Kenma.

I watch him carefully.

Number 6

Kags sees me get ready, and runs to my side. Tsukishima stays on the other side just in case.

Kenma sets it to number six, and he spikes it.

It hits my arm, and goes in the air.

Ah crap!

"One touch!" I yell out.

Nishinoya gets the ball, and it goes to Kageyama.

"Kags!"

I run up to the net as he sets it, and I spike it through the block. Number 2 receives it, and it goes to Kenma again.

I watch him carefully again.

Dump. I'm gonna trick him.

"Number 7!" I call to Kageyama and Tsukishima, and they move to block him.

Kenma dumps it, and I dive to receive it.

It goes in the air.

"Kags, high!"

He was shocked, but understood what I did. Then, he sets to ball high again.

I jump as high as I can. But not high enough.

C'mon!

My fingers just barely touch the ball, but it goes over and just behind the blockers. It hits the ground, and we get a point.

But as I land again, my legs give in again and I fall.

"Crap" I mumble.

Kageyama jogs to me, and helps me up. I was about to fall again, but he hold me up.

"Thanks Kags." I say to him between breaths.

"Sorry about telling you to go for number 6 too. You too Keikei."

Tsukishima walks up to us and nods.

"Its fine. It was a good move."

I nod and I let go of Kageyama, but then I fall again. Tsukishima catches me.

"Ack!" I hold onto Tsukishima's arms, and I try to stand.

Daichi comes up to us.

"Mizuki, I think you need to take a break."

"But the set isn't over yet! It's almost done too, I can finish it!"

"No way, you don't have enough energy to keep playing."

"But-"

"No buts. Tsukishima, can you help her to the bench?" He asks.

"Yes sir." He says, and puts my arm around his neck. He holds my waist, and starts walking.

I frown, but I go to the bench. I highfive Tanaka when he goes on, and I sit on the bench.

"Thanks Keikei."

He nods and goes back on court.

"You ok?" I turn and see Keishin.

"Ya, I'm fine."

Kiyoko gives me some water.

"Drink some water. You need some more energy." She says.

"Thanks, Kiko."

She sits beside me.

"You need to be careful of how much energy you use, Mizuki. You could hurt yourself." Takeda says to me.

"Ok, ok." I nod.

Sigh, this is more tiring than I thought. Five high spikes though... I need to get more in.

When my legs start to feel better, I stand up.

"I'm gonna go out for some fresh air. I'll be back in a bit." I say to Keishin, Kiyoko and Takeda.

Before they can say anything, I jog to the door, change my shoes and I go outside.

I look around and I see a tree on a hill. I walk there, and I sit at the trunk under the shade.

Ahhhhhh, it feels so much better here.

I look around, and I don't see anyone.

Oof, that match took too much energy. Wait does this mean that the bet is still on? Or if they lose, I'll still have to coach Nekoma?

I keep thinking to myself, and without realizing it, I fall asleep.
