*Catherine's P.O.V.*

Walking into my room, I striped off of my clothes and put on my lime green pyjama bottoms along with my father's favourite white T-shirt. I let my hair down, feeling my scalp ready to fall apart. Shouldn't have left my hair up in that ponytail all day. Slipping on my flip-flops, I walked into Hayden's room, not forgetting to knock first.

Pinching the bridge of my nose and squinting my eyes, to prevent myself from sneezing, I heard the sound of a camera flashing.

"Your face expressions are literally the best," Hayden laughed, holding out his phone for me to see the embarrassing picture he had just taken.

"How did you even get the camera ready so fast?" I asked desperately, feeling the need to sneeze coming back.

Achoo!

"Well," he blushed. "The sure thing is that I was not taking a selfie," he laughed nervously. Gosh, he is hopeless, I thought to myself. "Anyway, come here."

We sat on his bed and took the boxes of pizza on our laps. He kept on repeating the fact that he was full and didn't want much pizza, but I knew he couldn't resist a good ol' slice of Pizza Capricciosa.

We were eating in silence, when Hayden sighed heavily. It felt like he wanted to say something, but he couldn't find the words, or himself speaking them out.

"What's wrong?" I asked him feeling worried.

"It's just that... What you are doing isn't good for you, Cat. You can't do everything alone. You are only eighteen," he told me wiping the sauce off the corner of his mouth.

He was kind of right... All summer I didn't have time to relax. I had to work at an ice cream parlour, babysit and tutor younger children to make money for my family. Having to think not only about the past (which contained all the bad memories), but also the future of both me and my brothers, was quite difficult. I had to stay focused though. I couldn't give up.

"While you were getting ready I called my mum," he stated, but I couldn't see where he was going with that.

I simply nodded, putting down the crust of my second slice. Hayden raised his eyebrows, silently questioning himself why he had as a best friend someone who didn't eat the best part of the pizza.

I just don't like it, people!

I rolled my eyes smirking. "And?"

"Um," he started hesitantly. "First I asked her if she could drive your brothers to school tomorrow," he raised his thumb as if he was counting all the things he told his mum.

"Uh huh," I made a note to myself to thank him about it later. Though, I knew something more important was coming out of his mouth soon.

"She was okay with it," he nodded.

"We all know that this is not what you wanted to tell me. What happened? Are you okay?" I asked, now scared that I am having bad news for dinner along with my pizza.

He closed his eyes for a second, taking a deep breath and then turned to face me. "I asked if she allows me to stay here with you guys and help you," I stayed silent as my eyes had already started to tear up. "At first she didn't say anything, like you," he smiled noticing the similarities between the two of us. "But then she agreed and told me she's proud."

His statement caught me by surprise, but I couldn't help but almost suffocating him with a tight hug.I was crying like a crybaby, but I didn't even care. They were tears of joy and thankfulness. Hayden kissed the top of my head while rubbing circles on my back.

"Everything is going to be okay," he reassured me. And to tell you the truth, I wanted to believe him.

"I love you Cat," he said again. "You are the most important person in my life and I will help you with anything you want. I will always be here for you," he said wiping the tears off my cheeks with his thumb.

Sniffing with my eyes closed, I thanked him, letting him kiss my forehead.

"It's my pleasure," he chuckled. "Now, if you are done with this pizza go to sleep. Tomorrow he have many things to do," he told me and I didn't think twice before letting sleep take me away.

*Tyler's P.O.V.*

As I was eating dinner in the living room, I heard the front door open. My mum and little sister came in, talking loudly.

"Mummy," Elsa squealed. "I want Cat to come get from school tomorrow!" she whined, pulling my mum back by her coat.

"We'll see, honey," my mum rolled her eyes throwing me an apologetic look. "We don't want her to get tired, do we?" she asked turning to look at Elsa again, making her shake her head in disapproval. "Good. Now go change into your pyjamas and your brother will come sing you a song to sleep," she told her.

Nodding, my sister skipped happily to her bedroom, murmuring the melody of my mum's ringtone.

"Who is Cat?" I asked my mum confused. Nobody had ever mentioned her before, so how would I know?

"Oh, um..." she scratched the side of her head. "She is your sister's new babysitter. Since you have been busy, I thought of hiring someone to look after Elsa when I'm gone," she knew well of the words she was using. She wanted to make me feel bad, but guess what? I'm eighteen and I sure have better things to do than babysit my sister. "Catherine Jones. I think she goes to your school," she continued.

Catherine Jones? Most probably one of the freaks or the fakes of Blue Lake High. Sure thing is I have never heard of her.

"Have you finished eating?" my mum asked lifting my plate from the wooden coffee table.

"Yeah, I'm going to Elsa's room," I nodded. "Goodnight," I told her quickly and left.

When I walked inside my sister's room, she was jumping up and down on her bed, wearing her bright pink pyjamas.

That loon...

Don't get me wrong, I love my little sister more than anything. And to make myself clear, I will hurt whoever hurts her. It's just that sometimes she is such a dork that I can't help becoming a dork too. She's such a bad influence.

"Tyler! Guess what!" she shouted with a huge smile.

"What?" I asked silently and sat on her bed, taking her on my lap.

"I made a new bestie today," she smiled brightly, showing off her small teeth.

"I am guessing that it's Cat?"

She nodded frantically.

"Okay," I chuckled. "I will have to meet her if she is going to be your best friend then."

Cradling her in my arms, I laid her on the bed and sat down on the edge of it. Turning off the bedroom lights with the remote control, I started singing Little Things by One Direction.

Moments afterwards Elsa was fast asleep, cuddling tightly with a stuffed baby seahorse I had won for her a couple years back. I silently got up, being careful not to wake her up, and headed to my room. Laying on my king sized bed, I fell asleep, trying remember Catherine Jones. The girl who, apparently, had impressed my little sister so much.

*Catherine's P.O.V.*

"Wake up, Cat," someone whispered in my ear. I sleepily opened my eyes and looked at him.

"Goodmorning, sunshine," Hayden chuckled. "It's already twelve o'clock. Do you want to sleep more?" he asked me, with a huge smile on his face.

"No," I said, my voice hoarse from the sleep. "I will get up now. I literally had the best sleep of my life," I got up and stretched. My entire body felt refreshed and ready to go.

Not far of course, let's be realistic.

"I'm glad," he laughed. "Now go take a nice hot bath, wear something comfortable and come to the kitchen."

I looked at him confused.

"But I thought we were having a day off," I told him pouting.

"We are! After you eat some brunch, we will go shopping," he grabbed me by my hands and pulled me up. "Don't be late," he shooed me towards the bathroom and went towards the kitchen.

So much for a relaxing day.
