*Catherine's P.O.V.*

"Hayden!" I squealed. "You are such an idiot."

"Geez, thanks," he laughed, walking into the kitchen with his signature grin on his face.

"Why the heck did you wake me up an hour earlier?" I asked him, now really confused.

"Because," he shrugged. "It's payback for suggesting me a poop eating job."

"At least what I did was funny," I sighed sitting on a chair and balancing my head on my hands.

"Trust me, mine was hilarious. Wait until you watch the video," he laughed and I glared at him playfully.

"Hey! You are mean!"

"I know. But you love me," he said, ruining my not-that-perfectly-styled hair anyway.

The hours at school passed extremely fast. Thinking of scenarios of Wattpad books I could write really helped with that. To at to this, most of my teachers were too excited to leave for the weekend that didn't even bother giving us homework.

"Guys," Lucy said to catch our attention. "Are you coming to my boyfriend's birthday party tonight?" she asked us, kissing Nick on the lips afterwards.

We had been sitting at the parking lot, as we all had our last period free. I couldn't leave, though, because I was supposed to pick up my brothers from school and thankfully enough my friends wouldn't leave me alone.

"Totally!"

"Yes!"

"I'm going to get wasted, man!"

"Yeah," we all said at the same time.

"Great," Nick high-fived us all excited.

Oh shit! I haven't bought a present for him!

"Hayden, can I have a word?" I furrowed my eyebrows and stood up to go away from the others.

"What happened?" Hayden asked concerned.

"I haven't bought Nick a present yet."

"Me neither," he scratched his head. "Neither have you bought a dress for tonight," he added and as much as I wanted to deny it, he had a point.

"Can we go to the mall before the party? I can change in your car," I said and stuck my bottom lip out like a lost puppy.

Do puppies even have lips?

Oh, shut it.

"Stop it with that lip," Hayden rolled his eyes laughing. "I didn't even try to argue, geez. Though, you have to be designated driver for the night," he smirked.

"You're evil," I sighed. "Why can't we just stay there?" I asked.

"First of all, because you have two brothers?" he raised his eyebrow. "And I don't think that you'd want to be in that house when Lucy gives Nick the present," he winked making me gag inside.

"Ugh, fine. I'll be it."

After picking up the boys from school, we headed home. Hayden cooked, like he was supposed to, and I took a warm bath to relax my body from the stress of the entire day. That early, rather brutal awakening didn't do a good job to neither my body nor my brain.

Then, we all sat down and ate, telling the boys that we would be gone until around midnight. We warned them not to open the door to anyone and told them some general stuff about emergency calls they already knew anyway.

It was a bit odd leaving the house to go to a party and wearing my grey sweatpants and a tank top. Thank goodness we were taking Hayden's car.

"What gift are you getting him?" I asked Hayden once we parked outside the mall.

"I'm not sure, yet. I'm thinking of a T-shirt or something. Not much money, honey," he chuckled and walked out of the car. I followed his lead and together we walked in most girls' paradise.

"You know, we could buy him something together. I have my credit card with me," I smirked. "What about a pair of new football trainers, huh? And one for you too?"

"I won't let money change me," Hayden mocked me by repeating my unfortunate words of the other day.

"I'm not changing," I argued. "I just want to buy a nice gift for my best friend."

"I will only accept your gift if you let me buy the new Play Station for the boys," he smirked and got into a store selling sports wear.

"With our money which is in my credit card. Sounds fair," I said quickly and smirking in triumph.

"What no-"

"Shut it and choose a pair," I snapped playfully.

We left the mall carrying about ten bags each. We bought Nick a present, the Play Station for the boys, Hayden's trainers and some clothes for me, and the boys after Hayden's annoying pleading. He kept on mumbling about how much they wanted him to upgrade their wardrobe with stylish clothes like his.

I mean, really?

We also got a Disney's Frozen Anna Bear for Elsa, from 'Build A Bear'.

"Now, change," Hayden told me as soon as we got into the car.

"With you in here? No way! Get out."

"I will still be able to see you through the windows," he shook his head, laughing. "What's the difference?"

"Get. Out," I pushed him towards the opposite side of me even though the door wasn't even open.

He rolled his eyes and went out of the car.

I quickly slip out of my casual outfit and into my new dark blue strapless dress. It looked so sophisticated and classy. It was tight in the perfect places, covering any curves that didn't really compliment my body. I took my white sandals on my lap, as I always loved being barefoot inside Hayden's car. He had those really soft, tingly mats which I just couldn't resist.

I tapped on the window and signaled for Hayden to come in.

"Huh, you're fast. Why does it take you an hour to get ready for school?" he chuckled making me hit his arm playfully.

"Let's go."
