Delilah's POV:

The first of September finally arrived and I couldn't even begin to explain how excited Draco and I were, let alone Indie. She's been babbling on all morning about all sorts of nonsense as me and Draco finished off the last of the packing.

We said goodbye to our parents the night before so it would be easier to leave. Staying with them over the last couple of months have definitely made us grow so much closer and even become slightly attached to each other so it was going to be strange without having them around with us, or to help us with Indie.

"Ready?" he asked when we'd packed the last of the items into our luggage.

"Ready", I said. He took hold of two of the bags and I took the other whilst holding onto Indie.

We apparated away to Platform 9 3/4 and said goodbye to each other as we went out separated ways to find our friends.

Draco and I both wanted to have Indie on the train and see our friends, but he didn't want to sit with my friends, and I didn't want to sit with his friends. So, after a little argument, we decided that I would have Indie for the train ride, much to his dismay, as I would be able to feed her. Plus, I had a lot of her stuff packed in my bag as well in case we needed it.

I boarded the train and walked along the carriages to find the compartment that my friends were in. When I eventually found them, I walked in and I was greeted with massive smiles all around. The smiles were mostly for Indie though and not for me, but I was used to that by now.

The atmosphere in the compartment was definitely very different than usual, without Ash to lighten the mood. This was the first time all four of us had been together in at least a year, so that was also quite odd.

We spent a lot of the train ride trying to distract ourselves from that devastating topic by either playing with Indie or chatting about random things.

Despite the memories it brought back, we were all very relieved to be returning back to Hogwarts as it would help bring our lives slightly back to normal. We were also very surprised at how quickly they were able to fix Hogwarts and return it back to its original state, but I guess that's magic for you.

"How are you and Draco doing?" Grayson asked when we were about an hour away from Hogwarts.

"We're doing really, really well. This I actually the longest we've been apart for ages", I told him, smiling at the memories I've made with him over the past year.

"Do you love him?" Cho said, wanting to make sure I was doing okay and he wasn't forcing me into anything.

"I do. So, so much. And not to mention how much Indie loves him, they're pretty much attached at the hip."

"Why isn't he here then?" Gray said, obviously questioning Draco's loyalty.

"Well, both of us wanted to be with our friends and Indie, but neither of us wanted to be with each others friends so we eventually decided that I would have her for now."

"Dada?" Indie said in a questioning tone.

"Yes, we're talking about your daddy", I said to her.

"Dada!" she exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air and making everyone in the compartment laugh.

"Dada", she repeated again when everyone stopped laughing. "Where's dada?"

"You'll see him later, Indie, don't worry", I reassured her.

"No! Dada now!" Indie shouted. I knew she hated being away from either of us for this long and, if I'm being honest, I missed being away from him for this long too.

"Okay, fine. Let's go see dada", I laughed. Hearing this made Indie clap her hands in excitement.

Draco's POV:

I was in absolute hell.

I was sharing a compartment with Blaise, Greg, and Pansy. To be honest, Zabini and Goyle weren't too bad, but Parkinson was something else.

As soon as I stepped foot on the train she wrapped her arms around my neck and told me how much she missed me and how happy she was that I was okay. It was absolutely disgusting and it made me feel sick.

At that very moment, I wished for nothing more that to be with my Lilah and Indie, but I knew I couldn't go over to her compartment because that would prove that she was right, and that her friends really weren't that bad.

For the past eight hours all I've heard is her blabbering on in my ear about her past year and how upset she was that I never received her letters - even though I did but I just burned them.

Whenever anyone tried to change to conversation over to something actually interesting, she would always interrupt them and continue talking about whatever it was she was talking about.

She was suddenly silenced, however, when the door to our compartment slid open. A huge smile spread across my face when I saw who it was, and I saw her chuckle slightly at the relieved look on my face.

"What the fuck are you doing here, Ravenclaw?" Pansy snapped at her.

Lilah ignored her and continued to face me. "She's been nagging me nonstop to see you so I thought I'd bring her here", she said.

I was confused at first as to who she was talking about but then I saw Indie's little head peak out from behind her legs.

"Dada!" she shouted when she saw me, she stumbled towards me as I stood up and bent down to her level. As soon as she reached me, she wrapped her tiny, little arms around my neck, holding me close.

"Hello princess", I said, picking her up and hugging her close. Even though it's only been about eight hours since I last saw her, I had missed her so much and I was so glad she wanted to see me too.

With Indie's body still firmly wrapped around my torso, I leant closer to Lilah and gave her a quick peck on the lips to show her I missed her as well.

"Who the fuck is this?" Pansy spat, pointing to Indie in my arms.

"This is Indie, my beautiful daughter", I said proudly, giving Indie a kiss on her forehead.

"Daughter? What the hell are you going on about?" Pansy said, confused.

"It means that I'm a father and she is my child", I told her, trying to hold in my laugh at her angry face.

"Yeah," Blaise said, "that's what daughter means Pansy, didn't you know that?"

"Of course I fucking know what a daughter is Zabini! It's just- it can't be true because Draco and I are together."

"We are not together, we never have and we never will be", I said, annoyed that she could never take a hint.

"Yes we are, we were supposed to get married Draco, we have our wedding all planned out. Remember, Dransy forever!" she said. God, does this women ever shut up.

"No we weren't, and we don't have our wedding planned out, you do. I have told you plenty of times that I don't want you, and trust me when I say I never will."

"Take a hint Pansy", Goyle said. "Everyone apart from you can see that Draco doesn't want you, and never has."

"That's not true! Draco, tell them it isn't true", she urged.

"Oh my god Pansy! Have you not been listening to anything I've just said you incompetent pug face?!" I said, and I could hear Lilah chuckle under her breath.

"Pug face!" Indie giggled as she pointed her finger at Pansy, causing Lilah to let out a loud laugh.

"What are you laughing at Davis?" Pansy said as she swung her head round to face her.

"I'm laughing at what my daughter just said", she chuckled.

"Daughter? Draco has a kid with you?!" she snapped, a disgusted look on her face.

"Yeah, why else would I be hear? I'm not just a random person who decided to bring Draco his daughter", she laughed. Could Pansy seriously not put two and two together?!

"I can't believe this!" she shouted, them turned back to face me. "We're over Draco, and don't come crying back to me when she breaks your heart!"

"Oh, boohoo", I said, faking wiping my tears away.

She stormed out of the compartment, slamming the door behind her and everyone burst out laughing.

"Congratulations mate", Blaise said when we stopped laughing. "I wondered why you were smiling to yourself when Pansy wouldn't stop talking."

"Thanks", I said, feeling weird that Blaise just congratulated me.

"So, how old is she?" Goyle questioned, wanting to know how long I'd kept her a secret from them for.

"18 months", I said, and Blaise's eyes widened.

"18 months! How come I didn't hear about this sooner?!"

"Well, I didn't even find out until a few days before I had to... you know", I said, slightly cringing at the memories of that dreaded night in the astronomy tower.

"Oh, okay", he said. He decided to ask another question when he saw I was a little uncomfortable about that topic, "Is that a- is she wearing a Slytherin robe?"

I pulled my head slightly away from her to properly look at her outfit and saw that she was, indeed, wearing her Slytherin robe. My face lit up as my heart filled with pride, and I looked over to Lilah.

"Yeah, it is. Madam Malkin made it especially for her when we were collecting our own robes", she said.

"Okay, I've officially seen everything now", he chuckled, leaning back in his seat.

"So not a Ravenclaw then?" Goyle asked, one of his eyebrows raised in question.

"She's got both house's robes, but I called dibs on her being a Slytherin today", I told them, and I saw Lilah roll her eyes sarcastically.

"Well I gotta say, she definitely looks like a Slytherin", Blaise said.

"She definitely will be one when she comes here when she's older", I said.

"No she will not, she will be a Ravenclaw just like her mother", Lilah interrupted.

"Sure, keep telling yourself that", I chuckled, which made her push my arm slightly.

"Hufflepuff!" Indie shouted, making Blaise and Goyle burst out laughing.

"No princess, you don't want to be a Hufflepuff" I told her. I wouldn't go as far to say I would disown her if she was a Hufflepuff, I just wouldn't be very happy.

"How did she even learn that word anyway? I don't think I've ever mentioned it", I asked confused.

"Mama say you Hufflepuff", she said. I narrowed my eyes over to Lilah in question, needing answers as to why my daughter thinks is saying I'm a Hufflepuff.

"What?" she laughed when all the attention was turned to her. "You act very differently when you're not around your friends or parents, almost kind, like a Hufflepuff", she admitted.

"I must say, your voice does sound much nicer when you're talking to Indie than when you're talking to us", Goyle said.

"Shut up! I'm not a Hufflepuff, I just love my daughter", I moaned.

"Okay, okay. Believe what you want", Lilah chuckled and I rolled my eyes jokingly.

I was about to say something but Goyle spoke before I had the chance. "Oh look, we're almost at Hogwarts", he said, gesturing out the window.

We all looked out of the window and saw that Hogwarts was quickly approaching. My heart started beating a bit faster out of excitement and nervousness, as the last time everyone was here it didn't exactly start off as a happy occasion. And I was on the wrong side.

"Magic Castle!" Indie exclaimed as she pointed out the window.

"Yes, this is going to be our home for the next year", Lilah said as she came up and wrapped her arm around my waist.

"It sure is", I said. I smiled at all the thought of all memories we were going to make here as a family.
