Delilah's POV:

Almost a whole month has passed since my beautiful Indie entered my world. I spent every second, of every day with her, cuddling her, kissing her, feeding her and changing her. She had my deep blue eyes, but Draco's pale blonde hair. Luckily, my friends hadn't noticed that she had Draco's hair, but instead believed it was my hair, even though my hair was quite a bit darker.

I had pretty much gotten used to being a mom by now and was almost able to do everything on my own, but a few things I still needed Madam Pomfrey to help me with.

Today was her one month anniversary of being alive so I was super excited for that, but it was also the day I had been dreading the most - my first day back at school after giving birth. All of the teachers were now aware that I was a new mom, and a few even came to visit me and her, so we have sorted out a little schedule for me to make it easier to juggle being a mom and a full time student at the same time.

In the mornings I will leave Indie with Madam Pomfrey to look after her whilst I've gone and then I'll arrive to lessons as usual. However, I will be given permission to leave class five minutes early so I can avoid the rush and business of the corridors and go and feed Indie. The teachers all agreed that it was probably best to not take her to lessons, not that I wanted to anyway, but I was allowed to take her to dinner with me. But, I decided against that as I still didn't want people to know I had a child and, as soon as Draco saw her, I knew that he would immediately realise that he was the father.

The best thing about it though is that the teachers decided that I didn't have to do any of the homework, but I could if I wanted to, since I'd most likely be busy looking after and being with Indie, so I was very happy about that.

Anyway, once I finished getting ready for my first day back, I picked up Indie out of her crib and into my arms, then carried her out into the infirmary to give her over to Madam Pomfrey, as I'm not sure where she wanted her.

After I said an emotional goodbye to Indie and thanked Madam Pomfrey, I went outside to meet up with Gray, who was waiting for me, and we walked over to Transfiguration together.

"How wonderful to see you again Miss Davis, welcome back", she said as Grayson and I entered. "How is-" she started to say but before she could finish I made a signal to her to try and tell her that I didn't want people to know about Indie, and luckily she saw it, so she corrected herself and said, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm good thank you," I said, "it's nice to be back."

"Lovely, since you're early you can take a seat next to Mr Malfoy and he can catch you up on everything we've been through whilst you were gone", she said before walking back to the front of the class.

"Professor," Grayson said, not wanting me to be stuck with Malfoy, "I'd be happy to catch her up instead."

"There is no need for that now Mr Daniels, after all Mr Malfoy is top of the class and you are... not as good", she said awkwardly, trying not to sound to rude.

I sighed realising there was no point in arguing so I just went to sit down next to Draco.

"Where have you been for the past month?" was the first thing that came out of his mouth as soon as I sat down next to him. A simple 'are you okay?' would've been nice but who am I kidding, this is Draco Malfoy we're talking about.

"I could ask you the same thing," I snapped back, "This is one of the only lessons you actually show up to, and you still don't even make it to half of them."

"Well I have other things to tend to", he huffed.

"And so do I", I said, making him roll his eyes. "Now, if I remember correctly, you are supposed to be catching me up on what I've missed since you are 'top of the class'".

"Fine." And with that, he went over everything that they have covered the previous month, even though he wasn't at half the lessons, and I was ready to begin. So I stood up to go back to my chair but McGonagall stopped me.

"You seem to have worked very well together so I think it'd be good if you stayed there, Mr Zabini can go and sit next to Miss Bell instead", she said the walked away before I could argue further.

I rolled my eyes and sat back down. "Great," I heard Draco muttered, "this is going to be a long term".

"Well at least we can agree on something Malfoy", I muttered back.

Five minutes before the lesson ended, I packed up my stuff and got ready to go, but not before Draco stopped me. "What the fuck do you think your doing Davis?" he whispered, "we still have five minutes of the lesson left."

"Like I said Malfoy, I have other things to tend to", I whispered back before putting my bag on my back, nodding over to McGonagall to signal I was leaving, and walked out the door and headed over to the infirmary to feed Indie.

-----

The first day whizzed by surprisingly fast and before I knew it, it was already June and I was watching my four month old girl slowly crawling around the living room with Ash and Gray cheering her on.

"Woohoo! Go Indie!" cheered Gray before picking her up and spinning her around the room, making her giggle. Ash and Gray have been so helpful over these past few months, helping me with Indie when I've been tired and and letting me catch up on sleep. Luckily, she was getting onto a much better schedule and now she can sleep all the way through the night until five in the morning.

I had managed to keep up with all my school work and catch up on everything I missed and I was back to being almost top of every class I had. And, as much as I hated to admit it, Draco and I have grown a little closer since sitting next to each other in. Not friends, definitely not friends, but we no longer hated each other and weren't enemies anymore. I guess you'd say we were acquaintances.

I still haven't heard from my parents, meaning they haven't got a chance to see Indie, but I hope every day that I will get to see them soon and they will get to meet their very first granddaughter. Despite not seeing my parents, I still see Anna at least every week, and she absolutely adores Indie and plays with her every chance she gets.

Other than that, everything else has stayed the same. I'm still living with Indie in the apartment in the infirmary and Madam Pomfrey helps out as much as she can. I still go to classes every day but I now go full time, not leaving early, and I also still don't have to do any homework so that is obviously great. And my friends, and the teachers, remain the only ones who know about Indie, with there only being a few close calls where a couple of students in the infirmary nearly found out. I do plan on telling Draco soon about Indie because I feel he deserves to know, and it'll probably be easier to tell him now since we are on slightly better terms. I'm just not sure when and I'm not sure how.

Draco's POV:

I was lying on the cold, wet floor of the now destroyed boys bathroom after getting into a wand fight with Harry, causing him to shoot a spell I had never heard of before which cut huge slits all the way down my chest.

I had never been in so much pain before in my life and I just wanted it to stop but I couldn't move, there was nothing I could do. Thankfully, Snape must've been passing by and heard my whimpers because he walked in, bent down to me and murmured some more spells I hadn't heard before. I assumed they were healing spells as each time he said it, the pain was relieved and I could feeling the wounds stitch up and disappear.

Once he was done, I was still in pain and it hurt to move so I was taken to the infirmary where Madam Pomfrey helped treat me further. When she was done, I watched as she walked into a door in the corner of the room, which I swear wasn't there last year. I really wanted to investigate but I still could hardly move and she had told me to rest, so instead I just closed my eyes and tried to get some sleep in, hoping it'd make the pain go away.

I was woken up by the sound of the door to the infirmary opening and closing. I opened my eyes and saw that it was dark outside, then looked over to who had just walked through the door.

"Delilah?" I asked as soon as I realised it was her, "What're you doing here?"

She jumped, obviously startled to see me, then said, "I just needed to... talk to Madam Pomfrey about something."

"What about?"

"Oh nothing important, just a few questions", she replied. I could tell she was lying but I didn't want to push her any further. "What about you? Why are you in here?"

"Got into a fight with Potter", I said sitting up in the bed, wincing in pain as a I did.

"Oh my gosh! What did he do to you?!" she asked, looking down at my chest. I was confused for a moment but then realised as I sat up the blanket must've fallen down, revealing my cut up chest.

"I don't actually know," I replied, "I've never heard of the spell before."

She was about to say something but was interrupted by what sounded like a baby's cry.

"Was that a baby?" I asked, looking around to try and find where the noise came from.

"What do you mean? I didn't hear anything", she said, and she looked a little stressed.

I heard the cry again, "Come one, you cannot tell me you can't hear that too!"

"I-I don't know what you're talking about", she stuttered.

We were interrupted by Madam Pomfrey walking out of that mysterious door. "Miss Davis, you're here. Do you mind if I borrow you for a minute?" she asked, nervously looking between her and me.

"Of course", Delilah said, walking away from the bed I was occupying and followed Madam Pomfrey back into the room.

What was probably about five minutes later, that same door opened again and Delilah walked out with a strange look on her face which I couldn't quite work out.

"D-Draco, I need to talk to you about something."
