It's a bit windy out here but after being cooped up with a bunch of people it's inviting.

Changkyun: Having a good time?
Me: Actually I am. Whenever I'm around your mom it's never a dull moment.

Even the first time we met... very eventful.

Thank God for character development.

Changkyun: She's a mess but I'm happy you're having fun.
Me: Are you?
Changkyun: In a way yeah.

It's goes silent for a while. Neither one of us say anything as we stand there staring at the sky. It's a pretty dark blue color but not a star in sight, but the moon is beautiful.

Night-time has always felt like a hug.

Meaning when everyone else is sleep and you're awake it's like you're the only one on the planet for that moment. You can cry in peace, read in peace, or just simply let out a breath. Release all the burdens of the day that you were carrying.

Me: What did you want to talk about?
Changkyun: Nothing in particular. I needed a breather and knowing you, you probably needed some air too.

He's right.

I like the champagne but it doesn't give me a big enough buzz to deal with all of this.

Me: Your dad's speech was nice.
Changkyun: It shocked me but..

He smiles a little.

Changkyun: I believed every word of it. My mom has been trying hard to right her wrongs, I won't forgive over night but knowing she's trying is enough.
Me: I'm happy for you and Jungkook though. Your parents are finally hearing and seeing you guys for the men you became.
Changkyun: We have you to thank.

I look over at him.

Changkyun: You'll make a great social worker Jas.
Me: The moon has sentimental or something?
Changkyun: Maybe.

I smile.

Me: Should we go back in before Jungkook hunts us down?
Changkyun: Nah, he just texted me saying he and Jin are hiding in the bathroom.

They remind me of Maya and I sometimes. Very unserious set of siblings!

Changkyun: Are you busy next weekend?
Me: Last time you asked that it ended with me here. So it depends.

My eyes widen.

Me: Like a date?

You dumbass why would you ask that?

Changkyun: It can be, yes.
Me: Um yeah, sure why not.

I try to contain myself.

Changkyun: I guess we should go back before my mother release the hounds.

He sticks out his hand and I take it.

Maya squeals as I try to hush her.

While the babies are at the doctor with Jungkook Maya and I eat ice cream and catch up. Dealing with work, school finals and babies we barely see each other eventhough we live in the same house.

Me: He didn't say what movie but I'm pretty sure he'll let me pick. It's Studio Ghibli fest so I wouldn't mind watching Howl's moving castle again!
Maya: I might have Mingi take me to see Ponyo, I don't have any clients lined up.

She's been booked and busy, I'm proud honestly. She went from doing bad bleach jobs in her bedroom to being a well known stylist at a shop.

Maya: Don't worry I'll be there for you and Mingi's graduation though! Is it true dad isn't coming?

I nod.

Me: The babies are too young to be around all that, especially the germs. So he's gonna' babysit and celebrate later.

She nods her head understandingly.

Maya: So if you and Changkyun start dating will it be weird for Haechan?
Me: I'm not sure. Wait, dating!
Maya: You should see the way you stare at each other when you think the other isn't looking. It's cute like puppy dog eyes.
Me: Oh shut up.
Maya: No seriously.

I groan.

Me: I mean the thought of us dating doesn't disgust me.
Maya: I would hope not, I mean you did fuck him.
Me: Not too much on me!

She laughs.

Me: He has changed a little so maybe I do have a tiny crush.
Maya: Tiny? Fine I'll take it for now.
Me: Have I told you how pretty you are?

She rolls her eyes.

Maya: What do you want?
Me: A fresh hairstyle for graduation, free of charge because bitch I'm a mother.
Maya: I'd be honored but I've been color happy lately. I think auburn color would look good on you.
Me: Dye away!

That whole afternoon we just chill and watch movies.

I cherish moments like this.
