Steve's POV:

Today was our anniversary.

Our 5th year together me and Y/N. I don't regret ever meeting her in the museum. I feel like it was fate that got us together.

I woke up ready to give her the surprise of a lifetime. I checked the time which read 8:32 AM. I rolled over to see my best girl sleeping. I admired her beauty as the sunlight hit her delicate face. I smiled and placed a hand on her cheek. Her light snores filled up the silent that was in the room making me chuckle lightly at her cuteness. I reached over to kiss her lightly and got off from the bed to go and get ready.

After showering, brushing my teeth, and getting ready, I jogged to the kitchen and wrote a note that had the instructions for her to follow when she woke up. I knew she woke up around 11 ish. I grabbed my keys from the counter and went to my car.

I saw Bucky, Sam and Thor by my car just as I expected.

"Good morning Cap." Sam told me and I nodded.

"Good morning brother Steven." Thor said making me chuckle.

"Morning punk." Bucky said and gave me a hug, in which I returned.

"So let's go get the things ready." I told the boys and they nodded as they went inside the car.

Several hours later...

Y/N POV:

I woke up at 12:20 PM. I hissed when I opened my eyes because the sun hit me directly. I hated waking up from a really good dream.

I stretched and saw that Steve wasn't on the other side of the bed. I lazily got off the bed and went to go brush my teeth and then showered.

I got ready just in case Steve wanted to go out later on. I saw a note on the kitchen counter with Steve's handwriting in it and that made me smile.

Dear Y/N,

Happy anniversary! Wow it's been 5 years already. I love you so much with all my heart. Just get ready and meet me at the park.
P.S you know which park I'm talking about.

I chuckled at his letter. I grabbed my keys and purse from my drawer and ran towards my car. I turned it on and jammed to our playlist. I quickly texted Steve telling him that I was going to be there in 10 minutes.

Steve's POV:

"She just texted me. I'm nervous." I told Thor as he laughed loudly.

"It's okay brother Steven. She will love your surprise." Thor smacked my shoulder and I groaned at the impact.

"Thanks Thor." I thanked him as I rubbed my shoulder. I saw Bucky and Sam bring the puppy just as planned along with a small chalkboard. I smiled.

"Here you go punk. Hopefully you don't get scared and leave the poor girl here." Bucky smirked making me look at him with a serious look.

"Shut up man. We should hide behind the bushes and wait there." Sam suggested and Bucky and Thor agreed.

I was very very nervous. Bucky, Sam and Thor left about five minutes ago and wished me good luck. What if she felt like it was too soon? All those questions clouded my mind as I tried to calm down the puppy that I had gotten her as a gift. I waited at our secret spot at the park near the forgotten beautiful water fountain.

I saw her entering the park and I smiled.

Y/N POV:

I saw Steve near the old but yet beautiful water fountain. I walked up to him and kissed himself

"Happy anniversary Stevie." I told him asking him blush.

"As one of my surprises to you, here's a puppy." Steve said and the puppy ran towards me making me squeal. I held him up and saw a chalkboard attached to the collar.

It read:

Will you marry me?

My eyes widened and I look up at Steve. Well, he was now on one knee with a beautiful small black box.

"Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, ever since I met you when you worked at the museum I couldn't help but be curious about what type of person you were. You are a beautiful young woman, with hopes and dreams, responsible and caring. I love you so much that it hurts me at times because my heart could explode.. literally.." Steve said making me chuckle with tears in my eyes.

"So, will you marry me darling? So I can love you even more than what I do now. I want to be able to start a family with you. You helped me throughout these years and heck, I wouldn't trade you for anything. Again, will you marry me?" Steve said and I looked at his nervous state. I let the puppy go and threw my purse and attacked him into a big hug.

"YES! I love you Stevie!!" I cried as he held me tightly. I let go so he could put the ring on my finger. It fit perfectly.

I heard cheering from behind the bushes and I looked back to see who it was. Thor ran towards us and gave me and Steve a gigantic hug.

"Too....tight..." Steve mumbled and Thor let us go.

"I'm just so happy for you!!" Thor exclaimed making me chuckle.

Bucky and Sam jogged to us but Sam tripped making Bucky look back at him and laugh at him before jogging back to us.

"Congratulations you punk!!! And hello my dear sister in law." Bucky hugged Steve and kissed my hand.

"Thank you jerk." Steve told him.

"Congratulations Y/N!!! And Cap!! Bucky screw you." Sam said making me laugh.

"Oh and the puppy is ours by the way." Steve said.

"Really??!!" I squealed and picked up the puppy golden retriever.

"Yes darling." Steve chuckled.

"I love you." I went on my tippy toes with the puppy in my arms and kissed him passionately.

"I love you more."
