I stumble towards one of the tables in the smoking area, Sammy trailing behind me with a sloppy grin on his face. I messily climb onto one of the seats, the world spinning around me.

'So, did you kiss him?'

Sammy's cheeks flush, 'I may have kissed him...a little.'

I raise an eyebrow, 'A little?'

'Okay, it was a lot. A lot of fucking kisses.'

My smile widens, 'Oh my god! You dirty dog, I'm so proud of you!'

'I wouldn't have had the courage to do any of this, if it wasn't for you Autumn.'

My heart swells as tears prickle the corner of my eyes, 'Sammy, stop it. I'm way too drunk for this shit, you're going to make me cry.'

'I'm being fucking serious! Tonight, has made me forget all about Toby, it's made me want to find someone who can actually love me for me.'

I sniffle, 'Fuck, look what you've done! I-I can't wait for you to find this person!'

'S-Speaking of finding people...'

'W-What did you do?'

He flashes me a sheepish smile, 'Luke and one of his friends is on his way over to town to meet us at another bar, so we need to get out of here'

My heart stops, 'W-What about Zayn?'

'I got his number! So, I'll be seeing him sometime later in the week.'

'W-What if Luke see's us leaving?'

Sammy shrugs as he lets out a sigh of content, 'I don't know if it's the tequila but right now, I just feel so fucking tired of hiding who I am. Ideally, he won't see us leaving here but if he does then fuck it!'

I laugh as I shake my head, 'Come on, let's go to another bar!'

'It's party time baby!'

I tense slightly as Sammy links his arm with mine as we stagger out of the club together, 'W-Why did you text Luke?'

'You played wing-woman for me, so I decided to return the favour!'

I give him a look, 'Why do you keep insisting that I have feeling for Luke?'

'Why do you keep insisting that you don't?'

I scoff, 'I'm not even having this conversation anymore.'

We glance around the bustling street, full of drunken people singing and laughing together. After a few moments we settle on a tiki bar, that looks straight out of a beach vacation. I smile wildly as one of the servers places a flower garland around my neck, island music blasting through the speakers as the entire room is light up with multi-coloured fairy lights, we settle on a table towards the back of a bar.

'I think we should have sex on the beach!' Sammy announces as he flips through the menu.

I furrow my eyebrows together, 'I thought you were gay?'

He rolls his eyes, 'I am, extremely so. I was on about a cocktail dumbass.'

'Oh!' I say slowly, 'That sounds like a great idea!'

'I'll go up and grab them!' He exclaims, as I watch him walk towards the bar.

'Love?' A familiar voice says my entire body melts entirely as a newfound feeling of happiness over-takes me.

My grin widens when I notice a familiar dark-haired boy sit down next to me. Fuck, he looks good. He was wearing a baggy pastel blue t-shirt with black jeans, his gold chain on show along with his usual set of rings.

It's completely unfair how handsome he is.

'Luke!' I beam up at him.

He rolls his eyes softly, 'How much have you had to drink?'

Sammy shrugs as he comes back to our table holding two large cocktail glasses with little umbrellas in them, 'Way too fucking much.'

Lucas' eyes dart between us both, 'Why are you both covered in fucking glitter?

I take a large sip of my drink, 'Happy hour.'

The dark-haired boy lets out a warm chuckle, 'Thanks for clearing that up.'

I hold out my glass towards him, 'Do you want any?'

'I'm good thanks princess, my buddy is getting me one.'

Sammy slurps his drink loudly, 'And what is your buddy's name?'

A tall muscular black-haired boy with sun-kissed comes into my line of vision, 'His name is Zach.'

I refrain from rolling my eyes as Sammy not so subtly begins to check him out, his cheeks flushing frantically. I look down in Zach's hand's I notice that he's holding a tray with four drinks on. My heart clenches with panic when I realise that one of these drinks, must be for me.

I murmur a quiet 'thank-you' as he slides my drink across the table, I feel my hands tremble slightly underneath the table. Lucas turns to look at me with a warm expression, my breath hitches as he moves closer towards my ear.

'I promise that the drink is safe. But you don't have to drink it, if you don't want too.' He whispers.

'I-I just don't feel comfortable but I don't want to make it a big deal.'

Lucas nods before taking a large sip from his straw, 'Shit, sorry princess. It's vodka, I know you hate it. So, I guess I'll have to have yours! Such a shame,!'

I watch in slight awe as he takes my drink of me and places it next to his, a feeling of gratitude spreading throughout my chest.

Zach looks at me with a guilty expression, 'Sorry Autumn, I had no idea, you didn't like it! Do you want something else?'

I shake my head, 'I'm fine, thank you though. Wait, how do you know my name?'

He snorts, 'How do I not know your name? This dickhead doesn't stop talking about you.'

My stomach flutters intensely, 'He does?'

Lucas sends daggers at his friends, 'He's lying.'

'I'm really not.'

I look up at the boy next to me with a teasing grin, 'You talk about me?'

'Only the bad things, princess.'

'They are no bad things.' I murmur as I lean closer towards him, I can't tell if it's the drink or I have this newfound courage, but I suddenly have the urge to close the gap between us.

Holy fuck.

Fucking hell.

I actually wanted to kiss someone.

I've not even had the slightest thought about kissing someone for months.

I feel a small twinge of pride, this could easily be one of the biggest milestones in my recovery. I actually want to be intimate with someone.

I was still fucking terrified, petrified even but the want is still there, and that's a victory in my book.

'I bet, I could find out all the bad things about you.' He whispers in my ear causing a fuzzy feeling to go down my spine.

'Guys!' Sammy cries out, I turn my attention back to him and notice Zach has left his seat.

'Where's Zach?'

'He went to the bathroom, while he's gone there's something I actually really wanted to tell you Luke.'

My eyes widen in slight alarm, 'Sam, are you sure this is something you want to be doing? Especially because you aren't thinking straight.'

'Nothing about me is straight!'

Shit, there it is.

Lucas laughs slightly, 'What?'

Sammy's expression drops by a fraction, 'I'm gay.'

My heart beats loudly for the boy in-front of me, I watch frantically as Luke doesn't say anything, he stands up out of his seat, I close my eyes to brace myself for him leaving. Instead, my ears are met with high-pitched laughter, I peak one eye open to see both of the boy's sharing a tight embrace.

'I'm so fucking proud of you, man!' Lucas murmurs as he wraps his arms tighter around the smaller boy.

'Y-You don't mind?'

'I don't care what you are Sam, as long as you are happy. You aren't just my friend, you're my fucking brother.'

Sammy's eyes glisten over, 'You're my brother too!'

I feel my own tears roll down my cheeks as I let out a loud sniffle, 'That was the cutest thing, I've ever seen.'

Lucas laughs loudly before sitting down next to me, 'You okay, princess?'

I shake my head, 'That was just such a beautiful moment.'

'You are so fucking wasted.'

I nod as I give him a tearful smile, 'I really am.'

His expression radiates warmth, 'I like this soft side to you, it's refreshing.'

I narrow my eyes, 'I'm not soft, you fucking dumbass.'

'Of course not.'

'I'm not!'

He winks at me causing me to nearly go into cardiac arrest, 'Don't worry, love. I'll keep it a secret, that you, Autumn Martin, is a total softie.'

One of my favourite songs come on, I perk up brightly, 'Please, will you dance with me?!'

He groans loudly, 'I hate dancing!'

'Please!' I whine loudly.

'Fine!'

I shoot him a quick grin as I scramble out of my seat and head towards the dancefloor. Lucas watches in amusement as I begin to do the 'big-fish, little-fish, cardboard box' dance.

'You dance like a dipshit.'

I shrug, 'I like it! Back off.'

'I didn't say it was a bad thing! I like it too.'

I lean my back and give him a toothy smile, 'You need to do it too!'

He rolls his eyes but begins to copy my dance-moves, I can't even find the words to describe the happiness, I feel right now that I got this grumpy asshole to dance like an idiot with me. My heart feels as if it's going to physically combust.

We share a look with each other before bursting out laughing in unison, I was almost worried that my cheeks were going to hurt from all of the smiling I've been doing tonight.

I don't think I've ever had this worry before.

'Move out the way! It's my time to shine!' My eyes follow the owner of the voice, Sammy who is dancing towards us.

'Dude! My moves are so much better!' Zach shouts as he walks over towards us, my eyes flicker between them both with interest as Zach wraps his arm around Sammy's shoulder.

'Try me!'
