I'll Be Good | Jegulus
Compliant. Cowardly. Not as likeable as his brother. Not as blood thirsty as Bellatrix. Not as gregarious as Narcissa. The people around Regulus had opinions of him. What he must do to make his family proud, what he must do to avoid being like his boisterous and rebellious brother. By trying to please everyone, he finds himself not knowing what he wants. When an opportunity to be his family's golden boy arises, it isn't up for debate whether to take the mark. However, getting closer to his supposed inner circle supplies Regulus with information he couldn't have dreamt of. He's not sure what he wants, but he knows he doesn't want the future of the wizarding world being the product of Lord Voldemort. With his cleverness and determination, he thinks that perhaps he can destroy Voldemort, but he'll need a little help. Who else but the few people he knows who'll benefit from the downfall of Voldemort. "What is it you want, Regulus?" asked James, turning his head to look at the boy next to him. "Anything in the world.""To win the Quidditch Cup and gloat in front of your stupid face," he replied childishly. It sounded better than "you, James. I think it's you, and that scares me. Your kindness scares me."(dual pov)…
