The Gracefield House was a wonderful home to 38 children. They all lived joyful, happy lives. One of those childrens names was Ray. The dark haired boy with the numbers 81194 on his neck, the oldest of them all. Ray knew more about the house more than any of his friends that lived with him... The Gracefield House isn't as joyful and sweet as mom portrays it, it has a dark secret that only Ray knew. This book will be revolved around the ship Norray (Norman x Ray) There will be some spoilers for season one of The Promised Neverland, and mild season two references. If you don't like this ship move on, it's a comfort to me so i will do what makes me happy. TRIGGER WARNINGS!If you have seen TPN you will know about Rays Su*c*de attempt with the fire, there's gonna be some more angsty thoughts during Ray's POV leading up to that.ED/forgetting to eatSickness (nothing major just fevers or a cold)โ€ฆ

In this AU they live in an actual orphanage without demons. Norman has a chronic illness that is contagious, it only got bad around the ages of 8-9. He had to spend most of his time in a room of his own, not having much contact with any of the kids anymore. He only ever was able to physically see mom, but he missed his friends. Ray was more on the quiet side ever since Normans illness got bad, he never really did much or socialized because of how close they were. He's been trying to figure out a way to communicate with his old best friend, but there wasn't really any ways- Until he read in a book that if you attach two cups by a string, you can talk through it. So throughout their childhood they talked through the string cup phone, when they were old enough Norman finally realized he gained feelings for the other. He thought since Ray could see other kids he didn't like him back, but he was wrong. Isabella soon finds out there is a cure for Normans illness, but it'll be a struggle to get her hands on it. CW/TWs~ This story contains mentions of sickness, not in major detail though. The characters do not belong to me, they belong to the creator of The Promised Neverland. The only thing that belongs to me is the writing and the idea.โ€ฆ
