Connie and the others are seen landing on a rooftop where Armin is seen on his knees staring into nothing. Connie tries to get his attention and begins to shake him.

Connie: Aye Armin, Armin! Can you hear me talk to me!

Armin snaps out of it and looks at Connie.

Connie: There you are, what happened? Where's your squad?

Armin: *mutters* Squad?

Connie: Alright let's get you on your feet. You shouldn't be alone. And what the hell you got all over you that's so damn slimey? What happened?

Suddenly Armin began to remember everything that had just happened, and let out a loud scream as he began to hold his head in distraught.

Armin: *to self* You're worthless! Why can't you just die?!

Connie: Hey you need to pull yourself together!

Armin: *to self* Damn you!!

Connie: Where is everyone?!

Ymir: Let it go Connie. He's it, the rest of them are dead.

Connie: Damn it don't talk like that!

Ymir: Is it so hard to believe? Look around you there's nothing, the closest things around are blood stains. We have to move on.

Armin then remembers something as he looks at their squad.

Armin: ... Where's Y/n?

The three look down, Armin seems to understand what they're conveying, his eyes widened in shock.

Armin: You're kidding right?... He was the most prepared for this? How'd he die?

Krista: ... He saved me. Pushed me out of the way, and allowed himself for a titan to swallow him whole.

Armin: ... I see.

Armin gets up and begins to head to the edge of the roof.

Armin: Sorry to be a nuisance, don't worry about me. I'll rendezvous with the rear guard.

Armin zoomed off, as the others began to move as well.

Back with the burning titan, it's back began to rise and deflate... inside of the body all that could be seen within the Titan's stomach is a black crystal, within it, is a sleeping Y/n. He seemed trapped within his mind. He was stuck, within his memories...

6 years ago...

Y/n is seen standing next to Eren and his father, Grisha Jaeger, as he decides to take the two boys to make friends with the Ackermans' daughter.

Grisha: Mr. Ackerman? Is anyone home? *turns to the two* Now remember you two, I want you both on your best behavior, especially you Y/n, your mother will even scold me if you get in trouble.

Y/n: *chuckles* I promise I'll be good.

Eren: Me too!

Grisha: Hm, they're still not answering...

Grisha then turns the doorknob, as he slowly peaks inside his eyes widened. He slams the door wide and runs in, revealing two dead bodies, all in clear view to Eren and Y/n. Grisha began to talk to Eren, but Y/n couldn't hear any of it. Everything was muffled as he stared at the bodies... he counted... 1... and 2. The girl, Mikasa isn't here... whoever did this took her.

In a cabin in the middle of a forest, two men are seen in a room, while a bruised Mikasa is seen lying on the ground. The two talked about what they were going to do with her, and who they would sell her too, when suddenly there was a knocking on the front door.

???: Who the hell could that be?!

???2: I don't know, tell them to go away.

???: Got it.

The one leaning against the wall walled over to the front door to see Eren standing outside in the rain, shivering, with Y/n right behind him holding his scarf tight.

???: What are you kids doing here? Beat it.

Eren: Please mister! We're lost, we were hiking with our parents and we turned around to see them missing! Please once the rain clears we'll leave we promise!

The man looks at the two kids with hesitation as he looks back at his partner who nods. The man smiles and squats to their level.

???: You two should be more careful. Scary wolves live in the forest. But, you don't have to worry anymore. You can stay with us-

Suddenly the man's eyes opened as he looked down to see a knife in his chest, Eren began to twist the knife.

Eren: Thank you mister. I get it... Die you shit!

He rips out the knife causing the man to collapse dead. The second man gets up so fast his chair falls back.

???2: Huh? What the hell?!

Y/n then shuts the door, as he is given the knife by Eren.

???2: Come back you brats!

The man holds his axe as he opens the door, suddenly Y/n charges the man with the knife and stabs him in the chest and knocks him to the ground. Y/n continues to stab the man in the chest, as each time he pulls the knife is pulled out the blood flies out.

Y/n: You animal! Go to hell! You get you fucking deserve! Die!!

Y/n began to slowly begin to stop as the man laid motionless, Y/n began to pant as he looked down at the knife. Y/n looks over at Mikasa.

Y/n: Hey... it's okay now. Eren can you cut her free?

Eren: Sure.

Eren begins to cut her free, as Y/n sits in front of Mikasa and does his best to get the dust of her hair and blood off her face.

Y/n: You're Mikasa right? I'm Y/n.

Eren: And I'm Dr. Jaeger's son. We met before. We all were gonna go in a house call. That's when...

Y/n punches Eren shoulder.

Y/n: Shut up Eren,sorry he's an Idiot.

Eren finished cutting the last of the rope, allowing her to rub her wrist.

Mikasa: There's one more...

Y/n: What?

Suddenly they hear footsteps behind Eren, as a man wearing an ascot is seen looking at them furiously.

???3: Did you kill them?

Eren goes to grab the knife but is kicked away by the man, Y/n then grabs the knife and swings at the man, only to be punched in the jaw and is knocked to the ground the man grabs the two boys by their necks and lifts them into the air.

???3: You two are dead! You hear me?! You're dead!

The man began to strangle the two, Eren looked at Mikasa, who sat there shaking.

Y/n: H-Help us.

Mikasa picks up the knife, and hesitantly aims the knife at the man's back.

Mikasa: I can't do this... I can't do this...

Y/n: You- You have to fight! If you don't we'll all die! Fight Mikasa! Fight!

As something snapped within Mikasa, her grip on the knife tightened as she charged at the man and let out a rage filled scream. As the man looked at her, she stabbed him directly in the face.

Later two Military Police soldiers are seen investigating the scene.

MP1: Jesus, three kids did this?

MP2: I wouldn't be so surprised. L/n's kid was one of them.

MP1: What? For real?

MP2: Yeah. He probably trained him to fight... but I still wouldn't expect a kid to kill someone like this...

Outside the cabin the three kids are seen standing outside with Grisha. Grisha is seen mostly lecturing the two boys

Grisha: Do you have any idea what you've two done?

Eren: We eliminated vermin! It just so happened they resembled human beings!

Grisha: Eren!

Y/n: Mr. Jaeger! With all due respect, if we'd stayed they would've been long gone before the military police would have ever arrived!

Grisha: Even so you two got lucky! Y/n your father may have taught you how to fight, but that doesn't mean you were guaranteed to be safe! You two would've died had Mikasa had not helped you! I'm angry because you two for carelessly risking your own lives!

The two look down.

Y/n: We just wanted to save her as soon as possible...

Eren: Yeah dad...

Grisha looked shocked before closing his eyes and standing up straight, and then turned his attention to Mikasa.

Grisha: Mikasa, do you remember me? We met several times when you were little.

Mikasa: Dr. Jaeger... where do I go home from here? I'm so cold... I don't have anywhere to go.

The three looked at her with pity as Y/n took off his scarf and walked up to Mikasa, and began to wrap it around her.

Y/n: Here, you can keep this. Eren and I made these with my mom, so I could just make a new one.

Y/n smiles at her as she looked at him wide eyed.

Y/n: Is it nice?

Mikasa places her hand on the red scarf.

Mikasa: It's so warm.

Grisha: Mikasa, come live with us.

Mikasa: Huh?

Grisha: You've been through a lot. You need lots of rest.

Mikasa looks at Eren and Y/n.

Mikasa: Okay...

Eren: Yeah come on! It'll be awesome! I finally get to have a sibling!

Y/n smiles at the two.

Mikasa: Wait... you two aren't siblings?

Eren: Huh? Well no, but we really are like brothers right?

Y/n: *chuckles* Shut up Eren, I will cry.

The new family and Y/n then began to walk back and leave the horrible cabin behind...

Flashback over.

Back at the Titan corpse, Y/n is seen within the stomach, his eyes soulless as his body begins to heat up. His eyes sharpened as he began to growl.

Y/n: *thoughts* No. I won't die here.

His hands began to shake as his hands formed a fist. His body began to spark as flames began to exit his mouth and eyes.

Y/n: I will live! And protect. My. Friends!!!

Suddenly the corpse explodes as flames begin to rise, two large back scaly wings then emerge. The flying creature flies out of the flames and goes directly into the sky, before any soldiers could arrive and see it.

Twenty minutes later...

Sasha is seen fighting off some titans with Daz and Marco. A horde of Titans began to head their way.

Sasha: There's too many of them!

Daz: Oh God we're gonna die!!

Marco: Hold it together! We can still make it to the others!

Daz: Don't kid yourself! There's too many for us three to handle!

Marco was about to speak, when suddenly a roar was heard... above them. The three look up as a winged creature is seen heading down towards them. Frozen in fear they simply stared as it headed closer to them, before it suddenly turned upwards and headed straight for the titan horde. The monster landed onto a 15 meter titan, and bit its throat before ripping off the head and smashing it's nape.

Daz: What the hell is that?!

Sasha: I don't know... but, it's helping us?

The monster began to bite a five meter titan by the nape before tossing their corpse onto another titan. It uses its claws to rip through the titans alive, before slashing at their napes.

Marco: It... it knows their weakness?

As the squad was so invested in the monster, a titan began to slowly creep up to the three and try to grab Sasha, when the winged devil turns, and leaps over them and bites the titan in the face. It began to smash its head into the ground before turning it over and ripping apart the nape.

Sasha: That titan was gonna grab me! It is saving us!

The monster then uses its dagger-like tail and cuts all of the surrounding titans' napes, finishing off the rest of the horde. As it stood, the three began to get a good look at the monster. Black scaly skin with some dim orange lining between its cracks, large spikes on its back, giant bat-like wings, small orange eyes, two wings, two legs, and a long sharp tail. From head to the tip of its tail it was approximately 20m long, had a 30m wingspan, if it were to stand up right it would be about 14m tall.

It was a Dragon, more specifically, a Wyvern type. It looked at the three who stood frozen on the roof.

Dragon: Sasha, Marco, Daz.

The four snapped out of it as it just did the unthinkable, it spoke with a deep menacing voice.

Marco: What a-are you?

Dragon: It's me guys. Y/n, Y/n L/n.

Daz: No way you're him!

Sasha: Y-Yeah! You're huge, and look nothing like him!

Y/n lowers his head towards Sasha.

Y/n: Sasha, on our first day you got in trouble with our commandant, when you tried to give him half a potato when it was more like a third. And at the end of the day, I brought you some food and water. Daz, you were always a bit of a scaredy cat, so I'm surprised you even graduated, and yet here you are, motionless, seeing me like this. And Marco, you're practically Jean's Bestfriend, so thanks for always keeping him in line.

Marco: How-

Sasha: No way... Y/n it is you! What happened to you?!

Y/n: I don't know... one second I was in a Titan's stomach, next, I'm this. But, I need your help.

Sasha: What Squad?

Y/n: Where is Mikasa and the Eren squad?
