' Worn Book'

,,  (Y/n)!  I'm so glad you're safe! " Amber exclaimed as she quickly runs towards and envelopes them in a warm hug.

,, Amber... " (Y/n)  sulked as they looked around the crowded area.

They could see residents and familiars questioning the knights around the vicinity . The Child could sense the people's hearts racing as they wondered how they could recuperate from this disastrous incident. As (Y/n)  glanced over to the entrance of the city, They could see scraps, curtains and broken amenities all over the stone pathways.

,, I'm so sorry that this happened... The timing of this isn't quite ideal, " Amber sighed as she broke the hug.

,, Don't apologize, It wasn't you who caused the mess. Don't be sad... " (y/n)  reassured the Outrider as they felt the tight grip on their wrist soften.

The child quickly let go off Amber's grip as they slowly proceeded to the crime scene. Every step they took raised a shiver down their spines, just as how it was back at the ruins. Luckily for them, this was much sane compared to the gory incident back in those ruins.

,,  Huffman... What did the dragon do to Mondstadt exactly, " (Y/n)  began to question the knight closest to them, Huffman.

,, Oh well, The dragon actually summoned strong gusts of winds and tornados, "Huffman Told (Y/n)  who began to glance up at the sky.

,  Back at Windrise, the sky clear. I can barely feel the sun here... ' The Child noted the thick grey clouds as they traversed closer to the City.

In an Instant,  (Y/n)  quickly pushed through the immense winds.They felt the vigorous gale blowing through their ( Platinum/Obsidian)  hair as they traverse into the windy city.

,,  (Y/n)!!  It's too dangerous-" Amber shouted to the Child before the Cavalry Captain placed a hand on the Outrider's shoulder.

,,  Fread not, Amber. Let (Y/n) be and if They need any assistance, i'll go and aid them immediately, " Kaeya reassured the worried Amber as her Golden orbs slowly watch (Y/n)  Silhouette and glow disappeared in the cloudy atmosphere.

As (Y/n) cut through the winds, their (E/c)  focused on the Favonius headquarters despite the area they were pushing through was in a mess. In the houses, the residents noticed the faint golden glow in the fog and looked out of the window to see The Child going against the winds. This  Dragon must be a mythical creature of Mondstadt maybe associated with the anemo element,  (Y/n)  suggested as they recalled a lesson weeks ago.

,,  Mondstadt is associate with the Anemo Archon, who controls the winds, " Lisa continues as (Y/n)  nodded.

,,  There's no Doubt! " (Y/n) exclaimed as they made they're way to the stone staircase.

At last,  (Y/n)  mustered enough strength to dash to the Favonius Headquaters. They quickly pry open the doors before rushing in. The door behind them slammed shut due to the strong winds, making (Y/n)  jumo at the sudden action.

,,  Talk about attitude, Door, " (Y/n)  mumbled before they ran to the library.

As they bust through the door to the library,  (Y/n)  hastily looked around for the Librarian. However, She was no where to be found. (Y/n)  stomach  felt shivers as They went into the library.

The library was filled with silence which was uncomfortable to (Y/n). They could only hear the raging winds from outside, nothing more. Where is Ms Lisa...  (Y/n)  gulped their saliva as they went down the stairs to the bottom floor of the library.

There was nothing but tables and books scattered across the tables. The atmosphere grew eerie as (Y/n)  strolled through the shelves of books.

,,  Did ella musk and the other people in the library evacuate? " (Y/n) commented as they looked around the library.

The Child began to explore the secluded parts of the Library, the corner of library to be exact. No light shined down to the area besides (Y/n)  Golden glow before They heaved a sigh. Maybe Ms Lisa left the headquarters to escort Ella Musk & the others... (Y/n)  mentally cried as they used up all their energy to get to the Favonius headquarters. Yet, the aggressive winds felt oddly... Familiar. As if They experienced it before.

Just as (Y/n)  was about to leave, They quickly scanned through the books at the shelf to the corner, being the Bookworm they are. As their finger glided through the books, The Child immediate stopped at the brown book without a title. (Y/n)  pulled out the book to find the cover in scratches. Some of the leathering was about to be scratched off the surface. The covering reminded Them of their own diary.

When They tried to open the book up to see the contents, The Child discovered a small locket on it which binded the book shut. Despite the appearance being quite ragged, the locket wasn't rusted. it was still  shiny despite the crevices filled with dust.

,, Why would such book be in a Library? Unless...  " (Y/n)  told themself as they pivoted around and made they're way up the floor.

As (Y/n)  climbed up the stairs, The librarian enters the room and notices the Child walking up the stairs.

,,  Oh, what are you doing here Sweetie? " Lisa asked as she watched (Y/n)  rushing towards her.

,, Ms Lisa!  I was looking all over for you! " (Y/n)  cried as they clenched on the worn book they found.

,, oh me?  I  with Jean who was discussing about the recent dragon attack and... " The librarian said as (Y/n)  slowly leaned the worn book behind their back.

,,  Yeah... The dragon must have close relations to the Anemo element, " (Y/n) states as They slowly near the door out of the library.

,,  If you need me, I'll be heading to my room now... " The Child of Light said as they quickly rushed out of the library, hiding the worn book from sight.

The librarian was surprised by (Y/n) 's sudden urgency before shrugging it off eventually.

instantly,  (Y/n)  flung themself into their room. They immediately closed the door shut as they let out a sigh. The Child of light could hear the storming winds flicker on their window as they slowly walked towqrds their study table. With their Red Candle, they lit up the Oil lamp near the table as they slumped into the wooden chair. (Y/n)  squinted their eyes as they held up the worn book with padlock up to the ceiling, wondering the contents of the book. As They opened the drawer and reached out to the a  hair pin they had in there, Their hand hesitated before withdrawing.

,,  Was is worth to steal the book from Ms Lisa...? " (Y/n)  mumbled to themself as they felt their chest becoming denser.

,, I should just wait until it's the right moment to open it... " (Y/n) sighs before They slipped the Worn out book into the drawer and closing it.

The Child of Light glanced towards the proud flame in the Oil lamp as they rest their head on the study desk and watched the warm flame burn. Maybe the situation may get better soon... They wished.

Amber looks over at the city, worrying about the wellbeing of (Y/n). It's been a gruesome hour ever since The Child of Light entered the raging storms. Fortunetely,  the storm was beginning to subsided a bit.

,, Kaeya... Are you sure (Y/n)  isn't in trouble? It's already been an hour, " Amber asks the Cavalry Captain as he shook his head.

,, If They already the headquaters, They should be safe right now since Lisa is there along Jean to discuss the matter at hand, " Kaeya told the Worried bunny.

,, Alright then... But if They aren't in their room, You're getting it Me! " Amber nagged at Kaeya as an irk mark started to form on her cheek.
