Scarlett

Dominic asked me to go to his office this morning, so I'm walking to the other side of the mansion.

Mason and I spent all day yesterday on bed. He was incredibly touchy which ended up in a lots of sex, kisses and cuddles. He looked like a teddy bear.

Knocking on the door Dominic opens it, greeting me with a warm smile. His office is smaller and in tons of red and white. It has a desk with a leather chair and a window behind, with some shelves and two red armchairs.

"Scarlett, how are you? Since the incident the other night." He seats on his chair signaling me to seat on the couch.

"I'm alright now. Thanks for giving the day off to Mason." I chuckle a bit.

They're both bosses, so if Mason doesn't want to work he won't. He doesn't need permition.

"It's for that kid that I'm still in this life. He makes a lot more than I ask." I nod, knowing that it's true, he does work his ass off.

"Well, going to work here. I would like if you came with me to the old place of Yaakov. I think I could find something there, and you could identify if it is actually the place."

My eyebrows rose up and I tense. I haven't been there since I escaped.

"I mean... if it is what it takes to help us coming closer to that monster. I guess I can do it." I say smiling a bit to him.

"I admire your strength. If you don't feel comfortable we can leave there as soon as you ask. I understand if you're still a bit shaken up from Emanuel."

I nod at him. "I think I can do it. When do you plan on leaving?"

"Right now, if that's good for you?"

I guess the ride to there will be my opportunity for the mental preparation.

"Fine by me. I'll just go grab my gun, I'll be down in a minute." He nods, and I leave rushing to my room and grabbing my gun.

I suppose Dominic didn't told Mason where are we going because he doesn't know that I know that place. So I'm not saying bye to him or whatsoever. I'll be back anyways.

Arriving the garage I see Dominic talking to the head of the security and a team ready to go with us. "Scarlett, you're coming with me." Dominic says opening the passenger door of his black SUV. I thank him, entering it.

I'm watching the trees pass by, the car in total silence. I don't know how I will feel going back at that place. I have to push all the memories back, and remember myself that I'm doing this to avange my family and Katherine.

"Have you told my son the full story?" Dominic breaks the silence and I look at him shaking my head. "No. I don't know how to tell him.".

"I understand it's not easy, and it must brought back a lot of demons, I don't know the full story, but I do know that Yaakov is a monster. I'm grateful for what you did for my daughter."

"I was raised that way, she was pure and a ray of sunshine, I couldn't let her..." I trail off, Dominic nods understanding.

"I owe you my life. And about Mason, I know he's a hot tempered, but he trusts you more than he did in anyone after Alessandra. I hope you can tell him one day." I nod.

Me too.

---------

Entering the house that was of the monster of my life is awful. I'm constantly getting flashbacks of everything. The house is abandoned now, the coward run away.

Always was, and always will be a coward.

Dominic and the rest of the team are searching documents and such. My feet are dragging me to the basement. It's dark, the only light comes from the rooms where there's little windows.

I came to a halt when I see the room where I lost all the innocence I had left. Where that monster rapped me, taking my virginity. There still is marks of blood, they beated me up here too.

I take a deep breath shaking my head.

You got to be strong. For your family, for Katherine.

Leaving the room, I enter the other one. It still has the two chairs, and the single mattress that Katherine and I used to sleep. If they let us.

Walking down the hall I see a door at the end. Pushing it open I see shelve full of boxes. I go up telling Dominic that probably it's necessary information. He sends the team there while I go outside, seat on the grass.

No one but me knows what I've suffered here. I cried so many tears, screamed and cursed so much. It's insane.

And just to think that when I was in that car going back to my home the guy turned out to be one of them and kill everything I loved, it crushes me inside.

The beep of my phone breaks my thoughts. Looking down at Mason's text, I smile a bit.

See? That's what I'm talking about, just his name makes me smile.

Mason:
kitten? you're in the house?

Scarlett:
no, I had some things to do. why? something's wrong?

Mason:
no, was just worried. You're good?

Scarlett:
I am. promise. I'll be back in few.

Mason:
good. we're talking about pizza for dinner, maybe give Sophia the night out...

Scarlett:
yeah, sounds great for me. I want pineapple on it tho :)

Mason:
no worries, I like them too. Tell when you get here?

Scarlett:
I will. See you.

I turn off my phone, and half an hour later, I look up and see the guys loading the trunk with those boxes. Dominic tells me that it's all done, and that we could head to the mansion now.

Finally.
