A/N: So sorry about the wait, writing this took a while, anyhoo I hope this chapter was worth the wait!

"I'm no Sheela, but I foresaw this coming a mile away."

Aru freezes in her tracks. Someone was watching her! What if it was Indra? Or worse, Kara! If it is Kara, Aru is screwed. A light from a torch flickers on, revealing Mini, Brynne, Nikita, and Sheela all glaring down at her. Well, Brynne glared down, Nikita, Mini, and Sheela glared up. Aru exhales a sigh of relief, maybe she can talk them into letting her go.

"Classic Aru, running away without telling anybody to join the army as a man. Just brilliant!" Nikita claps slowly, a dry smile on her face. Aru scowls.

"How did you know?"

"Know what?" Sheela tilts her head. "That you would run away or that Grandpa had to join the army?"

"Both." Brynne grunts.

"Grandpa gathered us all in the foyer and told us the bad news, when we protested, he told us it was his duty and all that crap about fighting for your country blah blah blah. Anyways we decided there was no way we were going to let Grandpa join in the condition he was in so we were all trying to come up with plans to stop him when Mini remembered about you, and we all knew you were going to do something reckless. So we each made up different theories about what stupid thing you would do and my theory was correct! You were going to run away!" Brynne sounded very pleased with herself. "Anyways we decided to rush here and you came. Like clockwork!" Aru crossed her arms.

"Are you going to try to stop me? 'Cause if you are than-"

"Quite the contrary," Mini replied. "We are going to help you join the army and assist you in not getting killed. It's a win-win!" Nikita checked her nails.

"And we already prepared Uchchaihshravas (Aru's horse, he only lets Aru ride him) and we will cover for you about why you are gone. Aru smiled gratefully, this was why she loved them so much. Sheela pipes up.

"Do you need help finding a weapon?" Aru nods.

"Yeah." Aru replies sheepishly. "The only weapon I have is a dagger, which won't do any good against an army of asuras." So the five sisters searched through javelins, maces, axes, swords, etc. Aru even found an ancient flamethrower! Yet none of them felt...perfect for her. Still, Aru had fun, laughing and chasing her sisters with clubs, blowing out the torch so there was no light and jump-scaring Mini, and just in general, spending quality sister-time together. Finally, all five girls sat down, exhausted, but giggling and smiling. Brynne looked over at Aru.

"So have you found the right fit?" Brynne's head turns to all the weapons on a pile on the floor, then back at Aru. "You've gone through every single one. Aru sighs, gets up, and dusts herself off.

"Nope." Brynne grimaces.

"Let's hope you find something good in the army then."

"I'm sure you will. Now let's clean up and then we'll see you off on your journey." Says Mini, still smiling. Everyone agrees. They clean up the room, putting the weapons back in the right place, at least Aru hopes it's the right place. Finally they finish setting up the armory. Aru grabs her sack(poor Airavata was stuck in there the entire time) and opens the door with her sisters next to her. The five of them gasp, standing in the doorway is Krithika Shah with her arms crossed. She raises an eyebrow.

"Going somewhere?"

"H-how? What?-" Aru stuttered.

"You were causing quite the commotion down here," Krithika noted. "It's a wonder anyone else hasn't woken up yet." Aru blushes. "All of you, come with me." Krithika ordered, and they obeyed, heads down. They followed their mother into her room. Krithika points to the bed. "Sit." They sat down obediently. "Aru, give me your bag" Aru opens the bag discretely  and lets Airavata out before handing her mom the bag. Krithika paws through the contents. "You have enough food and water for a couple of days, you have the letter, you have money, but you will still need more," She lists and adds a few more coins to the bag. "This should be enough for a couple of days right?" Aru looks on, confused.

"Are you not going to stop me?" Krithika lets out a dry laugh.

"No, even if I try too, you will somehow manage to escape, you are difficult that way so, what's the point?" Aru opened her mouth to protest, then closed it, her mom was right. "Anyways, what are you going to defend yourself with?" Aru shrugged her shoulders.

"I was thinking of going to the army and picking out my weapon there."

"In that case, I think this is the right time to give you a present. Granted, I was going to save it for your 18th birthday but today is as good as any." Krithika reveals a chain hidden behind her salwar kameez. Dangling from the chain is a golden key and a bottle filled with a blue, glowing liquid. She takes the key and saunters over to a cupboard and unlocks it. Slowly the door creaks open, inside is a tall slim package, covered in dusty brown paper. Krithika grabs it and sits on the bed. All 5 sisters lean over to get a closer look. "This was your fathers', and he would have wanted you to have it." Suyodhana Shah, Aru barely remembered him, whenever she tried to picture her dad, his face was always blurry. He had left when Aru was around three and never came back, leaving her mom all alone to take care of six children by herself. Mini's breath quickens, she and Kara were the only ones who properly remembered Suyodhana, being the oldest. Brynne had been one, and the twins were newborns when he had left. With trembling hands, Aru tears the wrapping paper and inhales sharply. Inside is a rapier with a sparkling golden hilt designed delicately yet intricately with lightning bolts, and a glowing white blade that seemed to sometimes shift to a violet or blue hue when the light hit it at the right angle. "It's name is Vajra." Krithika states, looking at it fondly. Aru, still stunned, takes the hilt, and swings Vajra around a bit.

A/N: A rapier looks like this:

"It feels just right!" She declared. Brynne snorts.

"What are you? Goldilocks?" Aru jumps, she had forgotten her other sisters were there. Embarrassed, she puts Vajra in her belt.

A/N: The belt looks like this:

Brynne just rolls her eyes. "C'mon, you are really late and it is almost four a.m. You need to head off soon!" Aru nods. Her sisters leave and Aru is about to follow them when her mom suddenly speaks.

"Be careful Aru! Not only of the Sleeper but the asuras as well. They are angry and hungry for revenge." A question forms in Aru's mind, one she had been meaning to ask for a long time.

"Hey mom,can I ask you something?"

"You just did, but ask away"

"Why did humans enslave asuras and for what purpose?"

"Well..." Krithika Shah fiddles with her chain. "Long ago, humans and asuras lived in harmony, the asuras were not forced to do anything but they still helped the humans and everything was peaceful. However, there was a man who was not happy with this. He wanted to somehow remove King Pandu, who was kind and generous, and take the crown for himself. His name was Duryodhana." This sent shivers down Aru's spine. "So he and his one hundred other brothers-"

"Hold on! one hundred brothers?!"

"Yes, they were called the Kauravas. Anyways Duryodhana and his brothers came up with a plan and killed the king. They then put the blame on the asuras. But instead of executing them, Duryodhana created the bonds that hold the asuras to this day. He became king because he 'saved the human race' and the past generations of kings have followed in Duryodhana's footsteps." Aru was shocked.

"So he did all that to become king?"

"I believe that there was more to this than becoming king. I think his aim was not just India, but the whole of the universe. But he died before he could accomplish this." Aru was furious, now she hated the royal family more than ever. "It seems the Sleeper is using the asuras' anger to do what Duryodhana could never accomplish."

"What about the Kauravas? What happened to them?"

"They all died after Duryodhana was crowned king. It is a mystery why they died, but I believe Duryodhana killed them so no one would take over the throne." Aru was flabbergasted, who knew the kingdom had such a bloody history. Aru was interrupted from her thoughts by a loud screech from Nikita.

"ARU! WHAT IS TAKING YOU SO LONG?"

"COMING!" Aru raced to the stables, her mom at her heels. When they reached there, Aru found her four sisters waiting for her.

"Finally!" Said Mini, sounding relieved.

"Sorry, I was having a history lesson."

"No time for small-talk, you are really late now!" Brynne cut in and handed the reigns of Uchchaihshravas to Aru. Aru quickly mounted the horse and prepared to leave.

"See you later." Nikita waved.

"We'll miss you Aru!" Sheela added.

"Bye Aru, don't get hypothermia! Or rabies! Or-" Brynne quickly covered Mini's mouth with her hand to stop her from blabbing on.

"Good bye." Stated Brynne briskly.

"Ew Brynne!" Said Mini, taking Brynne's hand off her mouth. "You could catch tuberculosis from touching my mouth which is caused by bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis! The bacteria could attack your lungs or any other part of the body such as the kidney, spine, and brain! If not treated properly, you could DIE! Or I could catch-" Brynne waved at Aru one final time and shoved Mini inside the house with the twins and shut the door. Aru, who was used to all this chaoticness, just laughed and shrugged her shoulders. She then turned to her mother, who looked sad and a bit nervous.

"Aru, are you positive you are ready?" Krithika asked. Aru nodded her head grimly.

"I was born ready."

"Good!" Aru's mom said, finally smiling though still looking sad. "And please be careful!" Aru nodded, took a deep breath in, and took off on Uchchaihshravas. It was a bit awkward at first, but after a little bit, she finally got the hang of it. And it was exhilarating, with the wind whirling past her, blowing a few free strands of hair that had fallen out of her man bun and tickling her face. Aru was always like a bird in a cage, trapped. But now, she was finally free! Aru laughed as she rode off into the sunset.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the Himalayas ( random asura p.o.v. )...

An asura throws a soldier, wearing an army suit, on the ground in front of a man on a thorned throne. Shadows cover up the man's body, making the scene even more frightening.

"Master, we have found this guy from the army scouting the area." The asura bows. A cold, icy voice that cannot be human responds.

"Dispose of him." The soldier, who had been shivering in terror immediately began to beg for mercy.

"No please! I have a family! I-" The asura covers the soldier's mouth, bows again, and carries him away. A sinister smile creeps on the wicked man's face.

"Soon, we will be ready to attack, nothing will be able to stop me, not even death, and the throne will be mine once again!" He lets out a blood-curdling laugh that makes all the crows in earshot fly away.

A/N: I hate cliffhangers but also love them XD
