Once back in the car I look over at V and laugh. "She's a bit much right?"

"Who Amanda? She's ok I guess I mean in small doses." She laughs.

"She's nice I just think she tries too hard at times." I shrug.

We pull back up at the house and I grab my duffle bag and follow her inside.

She runs upstairs to grab her dirty clothes and tells me she will sort them if I want to go relax on the couch.

I head to the living room and stop and look out the window down at the water. This really is a beautiful house and so big for just V and when I'm not here I'll be worried about her.

My phone beeps so I pull my phone out of my pocket.

I walk out into the balcony area and take a pic of the beach when V walks up behind me.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"My buddy Cam he's in the air force he just texted me and he may be in next month wants to crash at my place and I told him I was here and he asked for a pic of the beach," I said.

"Well, that's exciting!" She smiled.

"He also asked for a pic of us together," I said.

"We can do that come on out on the deck. How long have you been friends with Cam?" She asked.

"Since kindergarten," I said holding out the camera and we smile.

She grabs my phone to look at the pic. "It's decent. Send it to me too please." She smiled.

I sent the pics and it wasn't soon he replied.

"I'm guessing your boy liked the pic?" She asked.

"Here have a read," I said handing her my phone.

She reads our text and looks at me and giggles "Cam sounds like a fun guy." She smiles

"In kindergarten, he sit beside me, and well the rest is history," I said.

"I can't wait to meet him." She smiled sitting down on the couch.

"He's a great guy for sure. He always wanted to be in the air force so he's living the dream." He said.

"Did you always want to be a cop? I mean I know your dad was one but are you passionate about it?" She asked.

"Hell yeah I always wanted to put bad guys away and it was more than just following my dad's footsteps," I said.

"You just want to use handcuffs." She smirked.

"Maybe on you." I wink.

There was a knock on the door then the doorbell rang and we both jumped. "Shit that scared me." She laughed.

"I'll get it for you V. Stay put." He said.

I walk to the door look out and see Gray. "Hey man come in." I smiled.

Gray smirked. "Where is my munchkin? She better be dressed." he laughed.

"Uncle Gray I'm right here. What's up?" She said.

"Well, your Aunt Remi figured you two were together and she wanted me to bring over some enchiladas." He said.

"Oh, yummy we will eat them later. I appreciate you bringing them by." She said.

I put the container in the fridge. "Would you like a drink Gray?" I asked.

"I'm good I gotta get to the fire station just wanted to drop them by." He said.

"Thanks again, Gray," I said.

"Yeah, thanks, Uncle Gray. We are just washing clothes and watching movies. Going over to the graveyard later to decorate." V said.

"I thought you just did that?" Gray said.

"We did but we are taking something else. Oh and guess what? When we had that cookout the other day Grandpa Davis showed Coop here Grandma Alice's picture." V said.

"No way? He doesn't show that to anyone." Gray said.

"That's what I told Coop." She smiled.

"He took it out of his wallet and showed it to me. I couldn't believe how much V looks like your mom." I said.

"That's why Violet has always been special to me. She's beautiful just like my mom." Gray said walking over to Violet and kissed her forehead.

"I love you too Uncle Gray! Now get to the firehouse before you get in trouble Lieutenant." She laughed.

"Alright, I'm going! Have a good day guys! Love you Munchkin." He said closing the door.

"I love the closeness you have with your aunt and uncle it's awesome," I said.

"We are just a close-nit lovey-dovey family Coop. You don't have that?" She asked sitting on the countertop.

"No, not really. I mean my mom says she loves me but hugging and stuff we don't do." I said.

She motioned me over and I stood between her legs. "I'm a hugger." She said wrapping her arms around my neck.

"I like your hugs and especially your kisses," I smirk as I lean in for a kiss.

When her soft lips touch mine it feels like the first time all over again and I can't seem to get enough of her.
